"Oh God, I have to go." Nola shot up to her feet, eyes wide with panic.

I followed her to my heels, my fear spiking. "Don't leave me, please. I don't know what to do. I can't," I cried out.

"You can," she assured me with her big, kind eyes. There was a sincerity like she knew something that I didn't. "J-Just try not to anger him, okay?"

"Nola..." I trailed, watching as she disappeared out of the door. I couldn't force her to stay because that would probably cost her her life or worse her pack. Considering what she revealed earlier about this night and how it effected the werewolves, the former seemed more likely. It terrified me.
