ログインEzra paced the length of his small room. His breathing was ragged as his mind raced. What could be happening in Alpha Cages' office? What did Kit say? What was his father saying? And worse, what would become of him? His father had committed a grave crime by changing his class with drugs. They were illegal for a reason. He froze as the door opened. Alpha Cage walked into his room and he greedily inhaled the pheromones that came with him. “A-Alpha” he stuttered as he looked at Alpha Cage's neutral expression. “Sit” the firm order came. Ezra hesitated for a second and then he walked backwards and sat on the edge of his bed. Alpha Cage didn’t sit, he stood in front of the Omega who had turned white in his face. The sound of his heart pounding echoed in the room the longer he watched him. He was annoyed at himself. There were questions he ought to have asked in the beginning but he’d been too lost in the feeling of the Omega and getting him into his bed permanently that he’d tot
Kit's eyes shone with malice. Ezra was hiding a big secret and he’d stumbled on it so easily. He had been right after all. The fucking Beta had been taking illegal drugs. His lips spread into a victorious smile. “I told you. You won’t last at the top for so long” “Kit” Ezra called calmly. “I heard all that was said” Kit spat with disdain. “Who is this boy?” Ezra’s father asked from behind, ignorant of what this meant for both of them. “You’re going to be punished Ezra” his smile widened. “And I’m going to enjoy every moment of your fall from the top” Ezra swallowed. “Alpha Cage is going to find out just what a fucking liar you are” “You’re mistaken, Kit. My father and I were only talking” Kit scoffed. “Talking? I’m not a fucking idiot. I know what I heard” “Come on boy. It’s not a…” “Just stop” Ezra snapped at his father. This was all his fucking fault. They wouldn’t be dealing with this mess if he hadn’t shown up to the pack house in the first place. “What’s going on he
Ezra stood frozen as he watched the man he called father. The wide grin on his face as his struggle with the guards continued. Ezra didn’t move. His legs felt too heavy. His vision blurred. “Ezra..” his father called louder and the guards turned slightly. “Do you know him?” One asked but Ezra didn’t respond immediately. He wanted to deny it. Buy something told him that wouldn’t make his father go away. He looked at the shabby clothes and worn-out shoes, the hair greying in places it shouldn’t have. His father looked older than the last time he’d seen him. “Yes,” he breathed the words that felt like a burden and his father’s eyes brightened. The guards let go of him and he straightened. “I told you I knew him. He’d my fucking son” Ezra’s father muttered smugly as he pushed past a guard. “Look at you boy. Just like I wanted you to be. A..” “Let’s go inside” Ezra snapped and grabbed his hands as he dragged him through the hallways and past the curious looks that followed them. His
The days passed in the same pattern and just like Alpha Cage had said, Ezra had a smooth life in the days that followed their return from the sun gala. The mornings were filled with hot baths and scented oils. An overflowing breakfast tray with variety of options that Ezra had never had the privilege of tasting in his entire life. He spent the afternoons, lounging in his room or by the window, basking in the sunlight while skimming through a book and the evenings were almost a repeat of the morning. It was a comfortable life, one that Ezra had never expected. And while he tried to enjoy it, Ezra felt unusual. Like an imposter in a life that didn't belong to him. He wasn't used to being idle. For as long as he could remember, he had worked. Whether it was to put food on the table or save his father from debts, he was always busy so it felt wrong to simply be doing nothing. But there was little he could do about it since it was Alpha Cages' orders. A knock on the door startled E
LUPUS PACK Kael arrived at the lupus pack by mid-morning. He had departed from his designated room at the sun gala before dawn. Earlier than most Alphas had gotten up. “Alpha Kael” his right-hand Alpha, Julian appeared as soon as he dismounted his horse. Kael handed the reins to the Beta standing close by and looked at Julian. “What was the situation while I was away?” “I kept the forte down. Nothing unusual happened” “No attacks?” Julian shook his head and Kael nodded. The attacks on the northern border of the Lupus pack had increased significantly in the past months. Kael had done his best to keep that area protected but with the rebellion growing at an alarming rate, there was very little that could be done to keep the people safe. And there was none other to blame than Cage. If he hadn’t stolen what belonged to him, then the lupus pack wouldn’t need to worry about something as insignificant as a rebel group. Kael’s teeth rattled in anger and Julian sensed it. “Didn’t the
Sunlight streamed in through the open windows. Ezra mewled loudly as he rolled in the sheets, drowning in his Alpha's scent. He buried his nose deeper, unable to get enough of it. "I'm tempted to keep you in bed all morning" Alpha Cages' deep voice growled and he froze. He sat up slowly, holding the sheets around his naked frame, and met Alpha Cage's intense gaze. "A-Alpha.. I didn't know you were here" he mumbled shyly. "Hmm. Clearly. I'll have to wait until we return to have you in the ways that I want" he shivered under his heated stare. "Get dressed. The guard will bring you to me. We leave in ten minutes" Alpha Cage said and turned around. Ezra wasted no time and climbed out of bed. The small closet had already been emptied except for some riding gear. He pulled them on and stepped outside the room where a guard was waiting, as Alpha Cage said. Wordlessly, he followed him out. The area had emptied although a few carriages were out in the open. Everyone was preparing to le
The air stilled as the words dropped from Alpha Cage's mouth. The Alpha standing before him couldn't process what he'd just heard. A Beta as a pet? It was completely unheard of. Kit on the other hand looked so pale that it was a miracle he didn't pass out."Alpha...""I believe I don't have to ex
Alpha Cage's chest rumbled in approval and then the warmth disappeared completely from his eyes. “You forgot for a moment. It’s time I reminded you what happens when you forget” he said darkly. “No” Ezra cried as Alpha Cage's fingers circled his wrist and pulled him along. “I didn’t. I swear I
Ezra’s eyes widened in disbelief. Kit let out a loud whine of disapproval and Leon made himself scarce. “I can’t go with you” Ezra said and Alpha Cage's gaze narrowed into slits. “What does that mean?” “I…I cannot go with you. It’s improper to…” “Yes” Kit jumped in and Alpha Cage barely spared
Ezra stared at the Alpha, the seriousness of the situation weighing down on him more. "It's bothersome if we have to keep talking about the same thing over and over again don't you think?" Alpha Cage asked in a bored tone and drew even closer, dragging his index finger along the edge of Ezra's hai
