Renna's POV

Leia shrugged, wearing an innocent look on her face like she hadn't intended to sleep with my mate! She suddenly wore a guilty look on her face, scrambling towards my direction frantically when she leaned down to pick a towel that barely managed to have her body covered while I stood there, a sobbing mess.

“I am sorry, it had to get to this, Renna. We didn't intend to hurt you, we just thought you'd be happy for us! Can't you just look past this one like you always do? Huh? I'll make it up to you, whatever you want. I'll tell father and mother to let you have a place in the pack. You'll even be promoted if that's what you want.“

Her words only infuriated me the more, making the tears cascading down my face in waves. I was hurt and here she was, acting like I hadn't just caught her in the act with the man that claimed to love me.

“Look past this?! How?! Tell me. How exactly am I supposed to look past this, Leia?! You could have picked anyone else! Why did it have to be Kieran? Why do you always have to take everything away from me?!”

“Because we're sisters!” she yelled out, “Because we're sisters, Renna. Do you remember when we were little, you would always let me have whatever I wanted. This won't be any different. I want Kieran! He's the only one that completes me. So can't you just....give him to me? Give us your blessings. That's all we need. I love him, Renna. He loves me too, so just let him go. That's the least you could do for us,”

Kieran sat there, gazing at us like a complete idiot. I know he had just told me that he'd choose Leia over me but I still haven't heard him tell me that he felt the same way about her. This had to be some sort of confusion. Something had to be going on, maybe she had something on him, just like her mother had on my father. I had to hear him say the words so I asked.

“Do you.....do you feel the same way about her? I know you said it's always been her but tell me! Do you agree with her? That I should let you go and give you both my blessings? Is that what you truly want, Kieran?!”

He sighed. I had never seen him so pained and so guilt ridden. His gaze softened when he stared at me and I could swear I saw hesitation in them. He didn't want to do this, but why?! Why did he him choose to hurt me this way?! Why?!

“I already told you, Renna. I....I love her. It's her.”

I sauntered forward like I was drunk, but hell, I was. I was drunk on pain and hatred. I blinked frantically, flailing my arms in the air like some deranged maniac.

“Do they have something on you? Is that it? Tell me, whatever it is. I'll help you. We can get through this together, okay? This doesn't even mean anything? I'll forgive you if you tell me the truth. I know you don't want this, right? Please tell me you don't and come back to me. Please! Don't leave me all to myself, you're all I have left!”

Kieran scoffed, dropping down the bed to face me when his gaze suddenly hardened into feral slits. He clicked his tongue, his index finger darting out to point towards my direction.

“We can get through this? Together? What exactly do you think you are? Some respected part of the pack?” he smirked. His voice frigid, “You're nothing, Renna. You hear me?! Nothing! And I'd rather stick to her, than you, a maid. So, forget about me.”

I laughed hysterically, dropping to the floor with a loud thud and clutching my chest tight. His words burned through me like hot lava. They seared my soul, scalded my heart and if I thought I had known pain, this was a different kind of pain. This was betrayal. I clutched my chest tight, panting like I had just run a marathon.

“You see? I'm not the only one in on this.” she leaned down to poke me with sarcasm dripping down her voice. “He doesn't want you, I'm the one he wants so please just leave us alone.”

Kieran yanked her back to her feet she winced from the force with which she did. Nearly crying out when his eyes roamed through my hapless self one last time with disdain brimming hot in his eyes.

“Enough! Leia, let her leave. Get out of here, Renna. I'll let you know when it's time to break the bond so you better be ready.” he seethed out his last words.

I nodded to each words that the spoke, dragging myself to my feet when I staggered out of the room, Leia's voice fading away from behind me when she began to scold Kieran. He didn't meet her expectations, he had gone too easy on me. He should have just broken the mate bond right when he chance because he was never going to get another.

I had no destination in mind, I just let my feet lead me wherever. I finally stopped right in front of the apothecary at an hidden corner in the pack house. Only I knew about this place asides father.

The Crimson Moon Pack had an interest in studying all kinds of poison since Leia had been born with a disease that left her severely poisoned without my blood. My blood worked as a cure for all poison except one.

Glancing from side to side, I slowly clicked the door lock and it creaked open. The apothecary was usually guarded by Kayden but tonight he had switched places with the sentinels and the sentinels didn't feel the need to have this place guarded since no one knew about it or would attempt to venture into it for the sake of their lives.

But I did. I didn't care so much for my life because it ended the very moment I caught Kieran in bed with her. Browsing through the shelves, I hurriedly picked the black vial with a liquid that sickened me as it sloshed inside of it when I grabbed it off the counter.

The Dark Rose was the only thing that could end my life as fast as I had wanted it over. Slipping it underneath my dress, I quickened my pace out of the apothecary as quietly as I had slithered in, rushing back to my room and slamming the door shut.

I panted, leaning against the wall until I dropped to my knees in a flurry when vivid images of what I had just lost flashed through my eyes. I caught the tears when they had threatened to fall again, sniffling when I clicked the small cork open.

My chest heaved, I was determined to end it all. Without any further thoughts, I lifted the vial to my lips but the door suddenly flung open, startling me in the process.

I gasped when Leia stormed towards me, now fully clothed. I tried to hide the vial but it was too late, she had seen it. She snatched it away from me, jerking my hair back roughly I winced from the pain when she mad me face her.

“This?!" Her eyes widened when she realized what I was holding. "You cannot die yet, Renna. I'm not going to have you ruin things for me. I still have very much use for you and I intend to keep you alive for as long as I can. The next time you try something as stupid as this again, I'll make you wish for death!”

Kayden’s POVFuck! My hands instinctively wrapped around the back of her neck to hold her head in place when her mouth suddenly sank down on me and she took me into her mouth, rolling her tongue on my slit. I shuddered, my hips jerking forward as I thrusted against her, hitting the back of her throat she gagged, struggling to take me in all at once."Fuck, Kitten.” I smirked. “You're not ready for this, don't fucking try to take all of me into your mouth.”Renna bloody ignored whatever I had to say, deep-throating me once more, her eyes widened from the tears that gathered at the corner of her eyes. Then she continued on again, determined to see me fall apart right there, but I wasn't going to give her the pleasure of that yet.I grabbed hold of her, twisting our bodies in a matter of seconds, my cock dropped out of her mouth with a plop sound. She clung unto me as I carried her to my feet, returning back into the lake. A scowl formed on her face when I settled her at the edge.“D

Renna’s POVThe rest of the pack had shifted to their animals when Amari and I returned. When I'd insisted to not shift, Kayden tried to persuade me to hitch a ride on his wolf but I refused. He'd tried to ask me why I'd refused to come with them, but I said nothing instead. I couldn't tell him. Not when there was so many people around. Not only was I weaker than an Omega, I still couldn't control my wolf, and probably, I never will. They hesitated at first and after several futile attempts to convince them that I could take care of myself in their absence, did they finally agree to leave without me.Amari shifted to her wolf, wasting no time to join the others when I assured her that I was okay with staying alone.I sat just at the edge of the lake that was nearest to the path that led back home, leaning down, I stared at my reflection again. This was another lake, thankfully. As I recalled my encounter with the Alpha, the other day I'd tried to take a swim in the sacred lake, a s

Renna’s POVKayden shifted into his wolf for me. My wolf was excited to finally get to meet her mate, but it didn't last long because the next minute, he'd walked out of the room, leaving me all to myself. After what felt like hours, a knock resounded on the door, and Amari waltzed in with a smile on her face.I’d realized that I knew next to nothing about her, about Kayden or his Beta, and about this pack I was in. as much as I wanted to find out more, I could tell Kayden had somehow found a way to restrict them from saying too much. Even Amari would’nt choose to go against his orders.“Hey, Luna.”"Amari,” I chuckled. “You look rather excited today,”I muttered from where I lay, sprawled on the bed like a cat. She nodded, grinning from ear to ear like a Cheshire cat. Her smile deepened as she walked closer to me, plopping down on the couch."The Alpha called the pack out for a small run through the woods.” She muttered as she smoothened the tank top she had on combat pants, her mus

I couldn't tell if last night was a mistake, or if she wanted to remember what I'd made her feel. She creeped back in too, trying to quietly go back into bed and pretend she'd been sleeping too but she laid facing me to get a good look at my face, then I spoke,"Do you like what you see?""Huh?" Kayden’s POVMy Sentinels had informed me of Amari’s decisions to take Renna out to the club. I had no idea why Amari kept flouting my orders. Fuck. The mere thoughts of my female in the midst of a thousand men staring t her while she was already showing hints of being in heat only infuriated me the more.My wolf wwnted nothing more than to rip their fucking heads off, but it took every ounce of control in me to hold him back. No. I wasn't going to leave without her.He growled out a command, “Get in the car, Renna.""I'm not leaving without Amari,” I responded defiantly but he stepped out of the car, picking me off the flo
