Lucien's POV

Smokes emanated from my mouth and nostrils as I smoked deeply the cigarette in between my lips. Why am I feeling unhappy? Is it because of that unfortunate slave? I shouldn't be feeling this way.

"Master, would you like me to bring in your breakfast? Lady Delia already prepared it for you just the way you like it" Axel started, and I shook my head in disagreement.

Axel stared at me in confusion. He must be surprised that I refused to have breakfast. Probably because I don't do that often. Why have I suddenly lost appetite? My head was aching so badly, and my eyes heavy.

"Master, may I ask you a question?" Axel spoke up calmly, and I nodded my head again. My eyes were fixed on the scroll in my hand.

"What's going on, Master? You have refused to eat your favorite breakfast, and your eyes is swollen like you haven't gotten sleep at all for a whole week. Is there anything bothering you?" Axel asked with concern, I turned my gaze away throwing the scroll on the ground.
