James

“What are your plans?” Alex asked me

“What else? I’ll bring her home with me” I said

Why did he have to ask? Of course I’ll take her home with me. I don’t care if she feels it or not. I need her with me. I want her with me.

I don’t care, if I am her second chance mate. Her mate died already, I am her mate now, she needs to accept that.

Alex sighed.

“What?’ I said

“I don’t know if she’ll like that idea. I mean look, in just one day, she learned about her identity. That she has a second chance mate, that she doesn’t even like, no offense but yeah” he said

I didn’t like what he said but he has a point.

“She will learn to like me, whether she likes it or not” I said firmly

“She is scared of you. You know that? And that’s the first. She’s not even scared of dad and me” he said

I rolled my eyes “You spoiled her too much. Of course she won’t be scared of you. Well at least now, I know she’s scared of me. She has no choice to come with me” I can’t deal with this right now. I need her home. I repeated that to them like almost a hundred times and still they don’t get it.

“Look all I’m saying is that let her think. You can stay here and wait for her, at least one week. You know last night, I don’t know if she wants to leave, and with you.”

“Why?” I asked out of curiosity

“Well, I lied. You know she passed out last night?” he said

“What? Why didn’t you tell me?” I can’t believe he didn’t tell me that. When I walked into the room he told me, she was sleeping and didn’t want to be disturbed, so I didn’t go in.

“Well, she came to her room last night and she can’t find his picture”

“Picture? What picture? And Why does it feel like I don’t want to hear it?’ I asked , because I get the feeling that, I don’t want to know who was the “he” he was talking about

“Lucas, her mate, ex-mate” alex said and I growled

“Sorry. Can’t help it. Why does she still have his picture? It was six years ago. And he didn’t even mark her”

“He was supposed to mark her, but he died. He promised my sister when he comes back, he’d mark her, but then she was called on the field and saw her mate dead. She didn’t handle it well and the only thing that we could do was give her a picture of him and it helped” He explained

“Did you remove the picture?” I ask because if he did, I would hug him right now

“No, I don’t---“ “It was me” a voice came in and I didn’t like what I heard

“What are you doing here?” I ask

“Why did you take it?” Alex asked, oh yeah I forgot about that but somehow Alex was mad

“She needs to let him go” Lorcan calmly said. Oh I am starting to like him

“Well, except if he remove it and he wanted her to move on, so that they could be together” Ash, my wolf said

Well, I didn’t think of that, now I hate him again.

“Well, I just came here to tell you that you both need to see her” Lorcan said

“What? Why? Is there something wrong?” Alex asked with concern in his voice

I didn’t talk, I stood up and ran to get to her room, I slowly opened her door, the Luna was there, Alice I think was her name, then her mom and my mom was too, and the beta’s mate.

“What’s wrong?” I asked my mom

“Her hair, is pure black and when we came here, her hair is now, well….that” My mom said pointing at her

I looked at her and slowly approached her bed side, I sat down. Her hair is still black but there’s a hint of red, it looks good. But I know this change is not normal

She moved. And slowly opened her eyes. She looked at everyone else, then our eyes met. I can’t see any emotion but I feel she’s confused.

“Cas!!!” Lily then came in and ran towards her and jumped on the bed

“I’m weaving today” she said and pouted

My mate smiled and it melts my heart. But I can’t show that them. Including her.

“Did you have a good sleep?” she asked Lily

“Yes! I like your room though, can I stay hewe?” Lily asked her

“Of course, you can visit here anytime and sleep here with me” she said

I chuckled and took my sister “Don’t worry, I will make your room like this. And don’t worry about her, she’s coming home with us. She’s your sister now”

“weally? Goodie! I don’t like the sister’s you meet. All mean” she said and I froze, I look at Casler, she looked….nothing. She just stared at me.

“What are you talking about?” I asked my sister, laughing nervously

“Guess kids don’t lie huh?” Alex said, leaning on the door, shaking his head

Lily wiggled on my hold and she scooted over to Casler. I like that she liked her, and that is a good sign.

“My bwother have many sister around him and I don’t like them. Can you be my sister instead?” Lily asked

“Of course” she said and everyone looked at her in shock

“Really?” Her mom said

“Of course, why not?” She asked and smiled at her mom

“You look pretty when you smile my baby” Her mom said

“Are you sure you want to go with them? I mean no rush” her mom added

“It’s okay if you can’t go with us yet” My mom said

“Oh no, I don’t mean going with them. She can call me sister and come here but there’s no way I’m going with them” she said and my heart dropped

“What do you mean?” I asked and now I’m mad

“We’ll go out and let you talk” Alex said

Everyone followed him, including my sister.

“What? Do you think just because you told me you’re my mate. I am going with you?” she asked

“Yes. Whether you like it or not, you are coming home with me” I said

“No. This is my home”

“If I need to carry you out of here, I will do it. I can give you a week to think this through and be familiar with me, here. But after that, we are going home. To my pack, to Silver Lake Pack” I said with conviction in every word I say

“No. When I say no, it means no. I am not going with you. I am not even sure if you’re my mate”

That’s it.

“Look here missy, you will go back with me. You have no choice. I am your mate. I don’t care if you’re still drooling over that damn Lucas, but guess what darlin’ he is dead, fucking dead. And you’re not even an Oli, you are going with me” I held her wrist tightly

She wiggled her wrist and sorry, it bruise again. “Fuck!” I muttered

“get out” she said

“Look----“ “GET THE FUCK OUT!” she screamed and I stomped towards the door and slammed it

Casler’s POV

I can’t believe he just told me that. I don’t care if he’s an alpha. I don’t care if he feels it. I don’t. I am not going there with him. Can he just reject me already? I will gladly accept that.

I mind l**k alex.

“Don’t let that person in my room again.”

“Why? What did he do?”

“Ask that stupid guy. My wrist are bruising again”

Then I shut the mind l**k off.

“You know why the Moon Goddess paired you with him right? There’s a reason behind it and you know that” Crystal said

“I don’t care anymore. She let my mate died and then paired me with that ruthless alpha. I would gladly accept it if he was an omega. I would rather have a low ranked wolf to be my mate again than some stupid Alpha, who doesn’t know how to be gentle with me”

“Just look at the bright side”

“What bright side?”

“I am still thinking.” She said and I chuckled

“you know, you’re lucky that I love you crystal and you are my other half, if you were human, I would have smack you in the head”

“I love you too. It’s a good thing you are already ready to smile and laugh”

I shake my head. “You’re right. I am happy with this. I am happy I met Lily. Maybe that’s the bright side”

She became silent “what is it?”

“I wonder who took Lucas” she asked

I froze and I remember, Lucas is not here. His picture is gone.
