Chapter Eight

“Nope” I said

“Why? He can’t be that bad” Alice said

I showed her my wrist. “Now tell me that again?”

“He just got mad. Who wouldn’t? you said you didn’t want him and baby, he is an Alpha”

“Okay, look. If my brother, An Alpha, your mate, did this to you, would you still want to be with him?” I asked

“That’s different! Besides he can’t do that to me. If he tries, then me and this little bumpy here would and will leave” She said

I chuckled.

“Good to see that you’re already smiling and laughing again” she added

“Thanks to lily. I didn’t even know I was capable of smiling or even laughing again”

It’s true. I thought I won’t be able to smile again. I didn’t know what happened or what does it supposed to mean but I am glad, I am and I can again.

Then a question comes to my mind.

“Hey, Alice”

“Hmmm?” While popping food into her mouth

“Do you happen to know who took his picture?” I asked while keeping my head down and looking at my plate which I still haven’t touch

She didn’t answer.

“I guess it was Alex huh?” I said

“You’re not mad?”

“I know I am supposed to get mad but I don’t know, I don’t feel mad or even upset”

I was mad when I couldn’t find it. Then I realized what Bryan said to me, and I am now scared that I have moved on.

“Alice, I’m scared” I admitted

“First time. Of what?”

“I’m scared that I have moved on.”

“What? Why?”

“I don’t know” I whispered

“Cas” Alice warns

I sighed

“Bryan told me that maybe I have moved on, and that I just can’t forgive him or myself, that’s why I think I still haven’t forgotten him” I explained

“You know even though he talks bullshit all the time, maybe he is right”

That’s not I wanted to hear. I was hoping she would contradict but okay. At least she’s here and talking to me.

I sighed. “I don’t want any of this. Can I just go back where we are happy. I was happy? Or just before we met the….the other Alpha?” I groaned after, I really hate this situation.

Alice was just staring and not at me, behind me. Of course, like in the movies, the person you are talking about stands behind you.

I turn around, not slowly.

“I let you two talk.” Alice said

Isn’t she supportive. When she left, I walked towards the counter. And put my earphones on because whatever he says, obviously, I don’t want to hear it.

I’ll follow”

I was listening to Willow by Taylor Swift and then he pulled my earphones off.

“Hey!” I shouted

“Look, two days already passed and avoiding me is obviously can’t make any difference, after five days you are still coming with me”

See? That’s why I hate him.

“Okay, listen here, Alpha. I am still learning new things about myself, you either reject me or-----“ I paused because he was about to open his mouth to talk but I stop him, using my hands, “or leave me here. Your choice” I continued

He pulls my hands off. “Now listen to me. I am not going to reject you so you have no choice but to go with me, I don’t care if you feel it, I have said that a thousands of times. You are going with me, it’s either you come to willingly or drag you there myself”

I was about to answer back then my brother Alex came in. “Sorry to disturb your talking but we need to talk about something important”

“Thank goodness you arrive, can’t handle this…..this person here” I said and walk pass him

“See what we have to deal with?” Alex chuckled

“I heard that” I shouted and walk towards the conference room. I entered and they were all looking at me.

When Alex and Alpha James came in my dad started to talk. I am not listening from the moment

he said, Alpha James was my mate.

“You need to listen” Crystal said

“Why?” I answered back

“Duhh, they were telling you to go with mate”

“WHAT?!” I said

They were all looking at me.

“HELL NO! I’D RATHER BE A ROGUE THAN GO WITH HIM” I shouted

“Baby you have too, besides, there are witches there they could help you. And we are going to visit there, at least twice a week” My mom said squeezing my hand

I guess I have no choice then huh? The good thing is I am going to start training with witches, like hell yeah I want that.

“Thrice a week then” I told my mom

“So you’re going then?” My mom asked

Am I going? I look over at him and he is shocked

“What?” I snapped at him

“Nothing, I am trying to convince you ever since I got here and the moment you talk to your mom you say yes” He said, like he is hurt

“Well, I trust my mom and you…well you know what comes next” I said

I look over at her mom and dad “I guess I have to start calling you different huh?”

“It’s okay if you’re not ready, but if you are then, you can call us mom and dad” Her mom said

“No worries…mom. I would sure love your company and Lily’s” I smiled a little

She smiled brightly. That folks is my weakness. When people accept me and I see love and affection in their eyes.

“What will you call me then?” James asked

“What else? Alpha James” I said

They all laughed “I guess he has to prove himself to you” his dad said

“You’re right….dad, he has too since I am like a human, I can’t feel the bond. He has to work hard for it” I said and they all laughed again

“You wish” he whispered, I rolled my eyes

They all talked about my training, visiting times and everything they could talk about. When they were done I asked them when will I leave because I am excited to train with witches. Like who wouldn’t?

“After five days right?” I asked

“Yes but if you can go tomorrow with us then you can” His dad said

“Okay then, tomorrow” I said and stood up walked towards the door

“Well that was easy” Bryan said

I turned around “Where’s Lorcan?”

James growled “What’s up with him? Why are you looking for him?”

Geez jealous much

“Nevermind, I can sniff him anyway” I said and walk away

I don’t care if he can’t help his possessiveness, he can go find another girl to play with for all I care.

I walked towards the living room hoping he was there and there he was watching “Titanic”

“hey!” I dropped myself beside him

“Hey, so what’s up” he asked not turning towards me, he was so focused on the movie, like he haven’t watched it before.

“Pay your attention to me!!!” I said, as I try to snuggle in his arms

“Cas, I am watching” he said chuckling

“I am leaving tomorrow you have to spend time with me today, you have no choice” I said while laying my head on his lap and popping a popcorn in my mouth

Now he pays attention and looks at me. “What?”

“Yes, we talked about it” I said and sighed

“I don’t have anything against it but, tomorrow? Really? That fast?”

“They got me when they mentioned training with witches” I shrugged and he laughed

“You agreed, so that’s not a problem anymore” He said

“Promise to visit me okay? At least once or twice a week” I said sitting up and pouted

“Of course” and he kissed my temples

“I know you took it” I whispered

“I am sorry, I had to” he admitted

“Thank you for being honest with me”

“Sure, I don’t want to lie to you, you know that and If I hurt you my brother would strangle me” He said and I laughed

“I miss him even more now” I said and sighed

“I know you do.” I put my head on his shoulder and before I knew it I fell asleep
