chapter 3

The sun peeked through the small window at the top of the cell.

I glanced at the window. My head was leaned against my knees, which were still drawn to my chest.

My tears had long dried and my body got used to the cold. But I did not sleep a wink last night, too afraid that the Alpha might come and visit me in my sleep.

Last night kept playing in my head. Raphael had wanted to hurt me, amd I mean really hurt me.

But why?

I've never met him before nor did I even know what he looked like. But the hatred he held for me was a deep one, one that seemed to have taken root in him a long time ago.

'Haden will regret ever crossing me.'

That's what he had said to me last night. What could my father have done for him to take me from my home, on the night of my mating ceremony nonetheless?

And most of all, what is he going to do to me?

I pulled I eyes away from the window and I heard soft clicks of footstep echoing through the dungeons.

I looked over to the door, expecting the see the Alpha again but instead, a small woman walked in to view.

The woman looked at me for a few second before she unlocked the door and stepped in.

I didn't feel that much threatened by her but she was still apart of the enemy.

"Get up." She ordered in a cold voice as she looked down at me.

I might not feet threatened by her but I know she can call someone far more threatening that her. So I slowly stood up.

Right now, all I need to do is survive until father saves me. That's all I need to do.

The small woman gestured for me to walk in front of her. I did as she said and waked in front of her.

"Left... Right... Right..." She called out the directions I needed to walk towards and I followed her instruction until we reach set of straight that went up to a door.

We climbed up and I pushed open the door to be met by that warm sun and green land.

"Go straight ahead." She ordered and I glanced at her over my shoulder.

The woman might look timid and shorter than me but her glare reduced me to nothing.

She pushed me forward, causing me to stumble.

"Go straight forward." She ordered again, this time, her tone more clipped and her voice a bit higher.

Visibly swallowing, I walked straight forward as she said.

At first, there was nothing but more green grass land. The short grasses brushed the inside of my feet as I moved forward. Then slowly, I started seeing people going about their day.

They didn't notice me, which I was grateful for. But that didn't last for long.

When I stepped further in to their town, their eyes turned to me and it felt like time had stopped.

Everyone was looking at me, some with fear, some with fury and some with disgust.

The women pulled their kids away from view, hiding them behind their backs while the men did that same for their women.

I picked up my pace. All I wanted to fo was get cover from their eyes.

It felt heavy on my shoulders.

Why? I don't know.

I kept my eyes to the ground as I walked, which was why I didn't see the first rock flying towards my head.

I heard a small gasp behind me before I felt the harsh blow of the rock at the side of my head.

The hit made me stumble and my vision darkened for a few seconds.

Standing up straight, I turned towards the direction from where the rock had came.

No one moved. No one said a word.

I wash shocked to my bone. My vision was still unfocused but I could see how unfazed everyone was.

"Keep going." The woman behind me ordered and it finally hit me.

I don't think I'll survive long enough for my father to come get me.

"Keep moving." She ordered again.

It was not her command that kept me moving. No. It was the sight of a man crouching down to the ground to pick up a rock.

My breath cought in my throat as I looked straight ahead and walked faster.

I felt a rick fly past me and I let out a whimper as I covered my head with both of my arms.

My feet didn't stop moving. I kept walking forward in hight speed, almost running as it is.

The woman behind me gave no more orders. So I kept zooming forward.

I kept my head low but I was still vulnerable to the rocks flying around me.

I cried out when I felt one hit me on my side but I didn't stop. At least not until a rock landed on my right foot.

I let out another cry and I fall down.

The rocks didn't stop coming for a few seconds and I stayed crouched down with my arms around my head.

Whimper up on whimper, tear up on tear and cries up on cries left me at each impact.

And when the rocks finally stopped, the pain didn't, almost as if I was still getting hit.

"Get up and walk straight." The woman behind me ordered in such a cold tone even though I was reduced to a shivering, whimpering, bloody mess on the ground.

"Get up and walk straight." She ordered again.

I dropped my arms from my head and looked forward.

There was a large pack house and I wasn't too far away from it. Just a few more minutes.

Bitting the inside of my cheeks, I pushed to my feet.

The rock that had landed my right foot had made me bleed and each step hurt real bad.

I limped forward, another whisper getting stuck in my throat. I couldn't stop the tears that were boiling at my eyes.

One limp, two limp, three limp...

In a horrifying silence, with their eyes still on me, I managed to drag my feet to the pack house.

The stairs of the house were really hard to go up with my wounded feet. I hissed at each contact of my right foot with the warm stairs.

The woman behind me walked over and pushed the door open.

"In." She ordered as if I was a dog.

Taking a deep breath, I stepped in to the pack house.

I jumped a bit when the woman slammed the door as hard as she could after she walked in.

"Go straight." She ordered and I slowly walked forward.

The amount of blood I lost was starting to make me sway. The cuts were not healing for obvious reasons and if I walk further, then I might pass out.

I stopped for a second when I felt my vision darken but the woman behind me gave me a shove.

Her push wasn't that hard but my knees buckled and I fell to the ground

"Stop overreacting and keep moving." She growled.

I shook my head, unable to do as she commanded.

The woman have me a few seconds to catch my breath and clear my vision. But before I could even stand, I heard a loud growl echo through the entire pack house.

"Beatrice, What is she doing here?" A man spat as he walked over to us.

I didn't look up to see him, foo scared that I might provoke the man.

"Alpha Raphael ordered me to bring her here." The woman behind me replied.

The man huffed and his strong aura radiated through the room, causing me to lay down on the ground even more.

"Relax, Father." I heard Raphael's voice near us.

"Relax? You bring his daughter under my room and you want me to relax?" The man growled forcing a whimper to climb up my throat.

Raphael sighed before he stepped towards me. He stepped closer until his feet with right in front of me.

"Get up." He ordered but I couldn't.

Not with all the alpha aura pressing at my already caged wolf.

I struggled to get air in to my lungs, my breath becoming louder and louder.

More tears blurred my eyes as I looked at his shoes.

There was only one thing I could do to relief the pain pushing me down to the ground.

My six older brothers would probably chose death but I'm not as strong as them.

Reaching a shaky, blood covered hand for his feet, I held on to his shoes.

I could feel the air tensing as I dragged my other hand to his other shoes and begged.

"Please..." I pleaded. "Please, let me go. I didn't do anything... Please..." I sobbed.

My voice was the only thing I could hear in the suddenly quite house until Raphael exploded in a growl.

He crouched down in front of me and grabbed me by the chin. He lifted my head up.

"You're begging?" He growled, his aura flowing out of him in a full force. "You think I'll let you go just because you begged?"

His girl tightened and I watched in horror as his blue eyes got swallowed by golden amber.

His skin cracked, revealing dark fur. His ears perked up, the tip becoming pointy.

He was shifting but not in to a wolf. He was still crouching in front of me in his huma form, yet his changing in to something else.

A shark nail pierced my chin and I let out a whimper.

"She begged but she wasn't spared. Why should I spare you?" He growled in my face before he raised his other hand.

I looked at the claws with terror.

Raphael swung his hand down but before he could get to my face, one of the identical men grabbed him and pulled him away.

I used the opening to crawl backwards.

The sight infront of me was shatteringly terrifying, like the monsters that needs to stay hidden under the bed.

His wolf was taking over. But this was not just any wolf. It's a feral alpha wolf.

I watched as Raphael pushed the man away, basically flinging him across the room.

As soon as the man was off of him, Raphael launched himself at me. I let out a scream and lifted my right arm for cover. But once again, he wasn't able to reach me as the other identical man grabbed ahold of him.

The man pushed his with his all might, pushing him away from me.

Raphael had his eyes on me as he fought against the man.

He tried to grab the man who was pushing him amd fling him off but the identical man he had just throw across the room jumped in to push him further away from me.

Raphael lets out a frustrated growl before he grabbed the two identical mem by their hairs and slammed their heads together.

The impact made them drop to the ground and he used the opportunity to jump towards me again.

At this point, the woman who was standing behind me was no longer in the room and my back was pressed against the door.

Raphael grabbed my ankle and his claws dig in to my skin as he dragged me closer to him.

The pain made me scream. And I expected another blow to come but he was once again tackled after me.

Along with the two identical mem, another hand pressed his hands against Raphael chest to keep him down to the floor.

Raphael trashed in their hold but the three had already gotten him ln his back and they were basically on top of him.

"Beatrice!" The man who looked like an older version of Raphael yelled out and the woman who'd led me here peeled her head out from behind a couch.

"Get her back to the dungeons." He ordered. "NOW!"

The woman, Beatrice, quickly got to her feet and ran up to me. This time, she didn't give me a chance to stand on my own.

She grabbed me by the arm and pulled me out of the pack house.

She dragged me all the way through the small walk I had rocks raining on me, down to the dungeon and the cell I was locked in to.
