I was very sceptical about letting Mykayla and Natalya go and have their normal girls' day out. Mykayla was starting to show; she was even more captivating now that her belly was rounded with my pup. We were unsure of how long she would carry. A normal wolf pregnancy was five months, but humans carry for nine months. I figured it would be somewhere in between. I was also worried about the entire pregnancy. Human women were not made to carry pups. Mykayla asked about me changing her, but Chris stepped in and said that would be deadly. When I asked why he said he wanted to check into a few things and would get back to me. He had also said that if his hunch were right, Mykayla would have no problems carrying and birthing this pup or any future pups. For some reason, I completely believed him. In Chapter 16, Planning- it's mentioned that Uncle Sven (Brighton's father) is dead...so how can he be involved in the 'strange custody arrangement'?!
