Becoming His Slave

I woke up on the cold ground and realized I was in a dark, smelly dungeon. There were cockroaches and rats all around. When I tried to stand up, I found my hands and feet tied in chains.

I glanced around and saw cells on each side, but mine was empty, and no one was nearby. I stretched forward and saw one of the guards out through the little hole on the door I peek from.

Feeling thirsty, I needed to grab his attention to draw him over.

I quickly stood up, rushed to the barrier, and shook it hard.

"Please, let me out! I can explain. You got the wrong person, please let me out!" I cried, doing my best to get his attention. It seemed like he heard me because I soon heard footsteps coming toward me.

A short man with a round belly and a grimacing face, marked with red splotches, showed up. I stepped back as he reached for my cell door, unlocking it.

"Come here, you noisy brat!" he said, smirking as he approached, and the back of his rough hand jammed across my face.

"Do we all have to suffer ear aches because of your disobedience? The rule was no noise! Come with me!" he scolded, grabbing me by my hair, making me wince in pain.

It had been months since I felt this kind of pain. I never expected to endure such treatment again, but I was wrong.

The man roughly pulled me out of my cell through a long hall until we reached an open area. I hadn't seen this part of the town during my stay, and I wondered where we were.

After locking the dungeon gate, he turned to me, saying, "The councils are waiting for you. I'm here to take you there so your fate can be decided once and for all. Traitor."

Without allowing me to defend myself, he pulled me forward with a threatening gaze. I realized it was better not to resist.

As promised, he took me to another place near the dungeon. In the hall, I saw a few people sitting at a long table with serious expressions.

"Is she the one?" a coarse voice echoed. I followed the voice to an older woman with slightly wrinkled eyes that never left mine.

Reality hit me when the guard kicked me from behind.

"On your knees, traitor!" he yelled, frightening me into falling to the floor. I winced in pain as my knees hit the hard surface, tears streaming down my face.

"Take it easy on her, Scorpio. Let her at least hear her judgement," said the older woman, whose eyes remained fixed on me without a blink.

"Where is your son, and why is he late for the trial of a traitor in his pack when we have pressing matters?" a man in his late sixties said with concern constantly looking at his wrist watch.

I wondered why the Alpha couldn't decide on my judgment and who exactly are these people ? Perhaps they were the elders from this part of town. I hoped they would proceed with my judgment and get it over with. I say within.

"Relax, Alex. Our son has been through a lot in the last week since the attack. He's still recovering before this..." the older woman trailed off, her gaze still fixed on mine. I had to look away as her stare unsettled me.

"Maybe we should proceed without—"

Suddenly, the door leading outside swung open abruptly, grabbing everyone's attention.

I turned around and was completely amazed as our eyes met. I remembered clearly that he was the wounded man I nursed a few days ago.

He looked down at me, seeming surprised. "So you're the one?" His fingers pointed in my direction.

My eyes widened in shock because I was surprised he recognized me too. So, he's the Alpha everyone was waiting for?

Next thing, he was standing in front of the hall, close to the others.

"Son, what's going on here?" The older woman stood up and walked toward him. It seemed she was his mother.

Ignoring her question, he began, "You understand that what you did is a serious crime? Lying about your background to seek refuge in this pack." His powerful voice overshadowed the others in the hall.

His presence exuded authority, affecting everyone, including me.

"Yes," I whispered, my voice barely audible, as more tears poured out of my eyes.

"After a thorough investigation, we discovered that you joined this pack after running away when your mate rejected you. Did you think we wouldn't find out? What makes you think we wouldn't suspect you as one of your father's spies?" He continued.

Alpha Damon's Pov

Since the night she rescued me, I sensed something different about her.

I was too weak to talk because I had been attacked by rogues on my way home, sent by her father after a disagreement at the pack's court.

Despite feeling odd around her, it wasn't a negative feeling.

Her scent overwhelmed me that night in her room, to the point where my wolf almost emerged.

I was upset because the moon goddess chose this woman as my mate – a runaway, mate-less Omega of all people.

"I'm innocent," she cried out. "I'm not a spy for my father or anyone. I swear."

I chuckled, growing more irritated with her uncontrollable crying. Her attitude was driving me insane.

"And how does that change anything? Should we just accept your dishonesty? You committed treason by lying about who you are. What if your father discovers you're here? Don't you realize everyone here is at risk because of your foolish actions?"

She couldn't hold back tears, and it saddened me. I wanted to console her, but I refrained until I could be sure her claims of innocence were true.

That day, I decided to leave, promising myself not to let her see me but planning to return and repay her kindness from that night.

At least, she was nothing like her father. And if she was truly sent by her father, she wouldn't have helped me that night but left me to die.

My parents expected me to give her a harsh punishment, but I felt the need to do something more lenient for her.

"I will release you from being labeled a traitor—"

I could sense my father disapproving, and my mother's grip on my arm tightened.

"Son, what are you trying to do?" my mother asked with a frown, but I didn't pay attention or listen to them.

"I'm the Alpha, and I have a say in everything in this pack," I emphasized. My father disapproved, but I didn't care.

"I won't impose the death penalty on you," I declared.

"But on one condition, I, the Alpha,"

I continued with a sly smile, ignoring the reactions from the elders, my parents, and everyone else.

"You will become my personal servant," I stated, and everything fell silent as I pronounced.
