Ok, so I’ve gone back and re-read all of the chapters and Rayna was absolutely correct; he’s shy as hell! Which like Ken thought, is an oxymoron when it comes to Alpha’s and their nature. He’s downright scared of her, making him the prey and her the predator! I can’t wait to read her POV about this!

It is the mate bond. As for dictating, I would say it is mutual. While it seems Ryker is dictating, he is finally talking rather than running away from Kennedy. She can still leave even though she did not want to until she finally decided to give up. I feel there is still grovelling in his future.
