"You're right...nobody will console you...nobody will care. It's all your fault, you really should've never been born."
Celeste looked towards the direction of the voice, finding Celia etched against the bars of her cell. "Celia...?""If it weren't for you, I wouldn't have been in here in the first place...Zillon would've still loved me and I wouldn't have had to go out on a quest for love. You stole everything from me and now because of you, I'm stuck down here with no hope of getting out. I hate you!"Celeste stumbled over to the cell, her eyes blurring with tears. "It's not...it's not my fault.""What? Is this revenge? Revenge for all I've done to you...if so, then you can stop now...I have nothing, nobody loves me, nobody wants me, I learned my lesson now...""It's not I...I didn't take anything away from you, he belonged to me.""He was mine in the beginning, he was mine far before he became yours...but of course that doesn'Zillon parked his car in front of Celeste's parents house and wasted no time to step out of it. He walked around to the passenger seat, opening up the door for Celeste who sat timidly inside. "Celeste, come on.""I don't want to."Zillon sighed, turning to Fredd and Liam who sat around the back. "Go ahead, we'll catch up soon."The men nodded, stepping out of the car and only then did Zillon turn back to face Celeste. "After two months, we've finally gotten a clue. We can't let it go to waste.""But they'll blame me too.""Not in front of me, you know that I'll protect you.""Yes bu—""Come on, baby. I don't want to force you, but this is important...do you want to become Luna with nobody to rule over? Do you want to lead without a pack?"Celeste shook her head."Come then..." He stretched out his arm to celeste, urging her even more. "I already want to condemn them, don't give me more reasons to."
"Zillon..." Williams bowed his head in a formal greeting. "What is it that you want?""Sorry for the intrusion, but I came here for something important.""Alright then son, I have no reason to stop you when you use the word important...go ahead.""Honey what are you saying? How can yo—!""Did we not already search the room Nadine? If there was anything in there, we'd have found it.""As always, your honesty never disappoints, Williams... You've always been like that around father, if you stole a candy and he asked about it, you'd tell him it was you and if he hyped about his looks, you'd always be the one to break it to him that he doesn't have much.""If you're complimenting my honesty, why is that my mate loathes it?""Perhaps because it's really not a nice trait to have, it could get you into some serious problem... especially since you've done so many people wrong, including your own daughter...you guys were adamant
"Shhh stupid, if mom ever catches us, we're dead."Celeste tilted her head, her eyes fixated on the stone Celia held in her hand. "Mom and dad is gone...and they told us to behave. They said not to touch anything.""Well I'm going to touch it... they're gone...I can do whatever I want.""Celi—""Shhh! I bet mom told the idiots next door to keep an eye on us...but whatever, I'm touching whatever I want, the closet is ours anyway...""What are y-you going to do to it? Stop now Celia...we're going to be in big trouble.""I don't care...how could she? She left me food and didn't leave you any because you were bad. You weren't bad...I was the one who did it.""B-But we already shared it...""That doesn't make it fair, does it?""Celia..." Celeste's eyes flashed to the stone again. "What are you going to do with it?""We're going to steal her most precious jewelry...that necklace dad bought her for o
Celeste opened it up, finding a small perfume bottle filled with a clear, watery substance and a crushed up paper. She took out the bottle, handing it to Zillon. "I suppose that's it and this..." She picked up the paper. "Must be what she was talking about. I wonder what's written inside...why did she not fold instead of crushing it?""Go ask her, Kitcat, nobody here would know...but how about opening it so we can see too?"Celeste looked down at the paper, slowly starting to unfold it, she didn't know what would be inside. She was curious, anxious too, but she was also scared. What if it was a letter broadcasting just how worthless and disgusting she was? What if it was a letter of degradation?Celeste's hands shook as she finally got it opened up, her eyes zooming in on the words written on it...'It's ironic, I know...the same thing that happened to you is now happening to m—'A hand settled over the paper, blocking
Zillon stood silently by the rusty iron bars, eyes fixated on Xavier who sat in the very corner of his cell. He looked so pitiful, but Zillon didn't have the time to pity him right now. "Have they been feeding you?"Xavier looked towards the other side of his cell where all the food that have been given to him in the past days laid smelly and untouched. "I suppose they have, but I will never eat anything offered to me by my enemies...I'd rather starve."His voice unlike the last time Zillon had spoken to him was dry and croaky and Zillon's heart pained him at the sound of it. "Have you at least been drinking water?""Is this a health check-up or a f*cking interrogation? Get to the point then leave...I don't intend to look up in your despicable face for much longer.""Why are there still attacks on my pack members? You're imprisoned, why won't they stop?""I guess they won't stop until I die..." He smiled up at Zillon, cocking his head aga
*BEFORE THE PREVIOUS CHAPTER*"What's so wrong with wanting to find out if you were being played? We were so close...it couldn't have all been fake. He told me to be strong, if not physically, then mentally...he taught me so many things, been there so many times, he even took care of me when I was sick. Why go so far for revenge? Something must be off, I can't see myself believing that Xavier would order the rogues to kill anyone. He was so gentle, so pure...I need to hear him say it, the Xavier I know is way too nice to ruthlessly play somebody."Zillon sighed. "Sometimes I wish I could ignore that desperate look in your eyes. Everytime you beg...I give in." He pinched the bridge of his nose. "Is that why you always do it? Are you taking advantage of me?"Celeste shook her head. "No...never, I just want to know what's going on...I want to understand the situation. You say that I'm your Luna, doesn't a Luna help her alpha? Especially in times like this.""And there y
"Is it...it is true...? Was it all a lie?"Xavier looked towards the walls, not answering.Celeste stepped closer to the cell. "Answer me, Xavier....was it all fake? Was I just a pawn? Someone disposable? Was I j-just being used?" Her shaky hands reached for the rusty bars, gripping them tight. "I was willing to let you mark me...at one point I was willing to choose yo—""But you didn't choose me, did you? I can't pick up your scent and yet I know Zillon's mark's on your neck. You weren't going to choose me, Celeste! Doesn't that make me a f*cking pawn too? I was being used as well...you didn't love me and I knew it and yet..." He looked towards her. "That didn't stop me from loving you.""Xavie—""I was just a replacement...now that the real deal's back...I'm stashed aside, no longer wanted, no longer being used and then you're here crying because I used you? You did the same, Celeste...feel guilty too.""I...I didn't, I—"
Zillon stepped out of the darkness of the dungeon and into the light of the outside, turning to stare at Liam and Fredd. "I'm leaving Celeste with mom and dad as soon as the sky gets dark, we're going on patrol tonight because if it really wasn't Xavier all along, then we're in trouble. We need to delve pass our borders, we need to take this more seriously...we're under attack and here I was thinking that it was just a petty little revenge. We have the same product they have...it might not be much, but it's probably enough to cover our tracks for tonight." He sighed, the stern look on his face not changing. "I want you to the east Liam... Fredd to the west...I'll take the south as for the north borders...I'll get one of the best fighters here to cover it. The link between us will be open and there'll be no men on patrol, just us. I want everybody at there best games...nobody else should die, especially not you guys."Fredd and Liam nodded at him. "Noted."
