LOGINCassandra’s POV
I couldn't believe that I did it. I escaped. I ran through the woods, trying to get to the main express. If I could find someone to hitch a ride with, I would be finally free. After Claire had barged into my room and questioned my looks, she stormed off and I knew just where she was going so I followed her. She didn't notice me though. When I finally got to where she was going, I noticed that it was Sebastian's office. They yelled at each other for a while and what finally made me conclude to escape was when he grabbed her roughly, slamming her against the wall when she mentioned that a lady they kept going on and off about was dead. That seemed to have pissed him off to no end because I began to feel as though he wanted to kill her right there and the.His blood list seeped from every corner of that room. He let her go though and with her walking away from him, I knew I had to take my chances so I ran back to my room and began to plot my escape. The room window was too high to jump from considering that they lived in a fucking sky scraper so I did the only other wise thing to do. I walked right out of my room. I didn't have the full clothes to dress as a maid to sneak out, so I wore what I had, walking over to the closet and pulling out a white tee and dark jeans with my boots. I threw my hair into a ponytail and stepped out of the room. It was a plus that everyone seemed bummed out by my presence that they chose to not approach me. That was till the guard from the other day spotted me from afar and I knew I had to run. He knew firsthand how Seb didn't want me interacting with anyone or leaving my room without permission and from my darting eyes, he could tell it was without permission. I pushed past people as I tried to escape him. He then began to yell “Stop, she shouldn't escape.” The people around chose to ignore him; they could smell me. Human… So I was insignificant. That was till I swiped an entrance card from an unsuspecting guard and ran out of the building and into the streets. The streets were so busy that I lost the guard in the crowd. I walked over to the check in point and just as a guard watched me nervously and about to question me, I kneed him and used the stolen card to exit the pack, running deep into the woods. It didn't take a minute for their alarms to blast in the whole park alerting them of someone breaching their codes. My legs carried me as fast as they could even if exhaustion filled my bones. I could finally see the trees getting fewer and I knew I was closer to the road. Relief and joy filled me but just as I was about to reach the main expressway, a body slammed into mine, pushing me to the ground and air escaped my lungs as I groaned in pain. My vision blurred and I could barely move. “Well, well, well. What do we have here?” A voice cackled. “A human? Is that what I smell? In werewolf territory?” he commented, his hand wrapping around my ankle as he dragged me away. The ground roughly scratched my face as the twigs tore through my skin. I tried to get my leg out of his hold but all my attempts were futile. “Let me go.” I muttered weakly but he must have not heard me. My vision got worse and I knew I was losing consciousness and I couldn't afford to so I did the only thing I could think of. I took off the bracelet that I had on my wrist and let it fall to the floor. If Sebastian really cared for me or his wolf, he would look for me right? Even if I chose to run a way of my own accord. Right? Darkness consumed me. — My left eye opened with a start and everywhere hurt so badly. I tried to move but I couldn't and that was when I realised that I was tied firmly to a chair with ropes that stung every time I moved. My mouth was gagged with a cloth and my right eye was swollen shut. I must have gotten injured from being dragged across the floor. “You're awake. How lovely of you to finally come around.” A man said and he finally came into view as I took his presence in. “ Nice to meet you, little one. I'm Sibaris.” he said, smirking wickedly at me that my stomach churned. I tried to speak, forgetting that I was gagged and all that came out were muffled groans. “Oh, my bad. I forgot I had you unable to speak for a second.” He reached out and I flinched as he grabbed the gag and pulled it out from my mouth, throwing it to the side and roughly grabbing my face that my wound stung when he touched them. “What were you saying again?” he said, placing his ear close to my mouth with a wicked smile on his face. “What do you want from me?” struggled to get out and he threw his head back, laughing manically and that was when I noticed the other around him who came out of nowhere, laughing too. “Well, for starters. You look beautiful. Or you did.” he said in a low tone, picking at his lips and my blood ran cold in fear. “Oh. She froze up.” he said to the others and they burst out laughing again. He leaned in and traced his finger down my face till it got to my neck. “Secondly, Humans sell really well in the black market and guess who has not been having sales since that Bastard Lycan added more rules to the system? Come on? Guess.” I clamped my mouth shut, not saying anything and he didn't seem to like that because he frowned. “Sibce you're too rude to answer, I'll tell you.” He pulled away from me and with disgust on his face, he spoke. “Me.”Cassandra’s POVI couldn't believe that I did it. Sebastian POV“Go to mate.” my wolf yelled in my head and I buried my head in my palms in response. I had a migraine and my wolf wasn't helping issues yelling about seeing that human over and over. What was I going to do with how he wanted to be in her presence all the goddamn time?“No.” I replied in my head but he just kept whining till my ears started ringing.I jammed the papers I had in my hand on the table, hugging in frustration when the door pushed open and Kael strolled in, biting down on an apple. His eyes landed on me and he let out a small chuckle as if enjoying the pain I was suffering.I had told Kael earlier about how my wolf wanted her, in so many ways. Some I couldn't even voice out but what he wanted the most was to always have her within eye range and that wasn't something I could do without raising suspicion in the pack.Claire was already on to me, yelling in my ear to fasten the pace of us finally bonding so she could assume her position as Luna but with Cassandr
Cassandra’s POVThe man from yesterday who I figured was Kael had a slight smirk on his face, watching me. So did the woman I heard was Claire and him… Sebastian. There were others seated on the chairs in the room but they didn't seem as bothered by my presence as those three.Claire's face was scrunched up in a frown as she stared at me before turning sharply to Sebastian with anger evident in her voice.“What was she doing here?” she sat as though I wasn't in the room.Sebastian chose to ignore her, clapping his hands as the maids strolled in from behind me, serving the dishes of everyone. That was my cue to take my seat so I walked awkwardly around, looking for an empty seat and the only two were beside Sebastian and another man, who seemed sleazy with how his eyes were raking over my body. So I chose Sebastian. It seemed like my best bet.I walked over, noting how their eyes followed me but as I took a seat, the hall erupted into chaos. Some gasped and someone got up roughly from
Cassandra’s POVI shifted on the bed as the rays of the sunlight filtered into the room. I groaned, rubbing my eyelids as I slowly got up from the bed. My throat was dry, so I reached out to the bedside table for a glass of water, but there wasn't anything there. Groggily, I got up, trudging to the door and trying to pull it open but I didn't budge.Huh?I tried again, pulling harder this time as I attempted to open it, but it yielded the same result. Why was my door stuck?“Dad?” I yelled out, trying to get him to come up the stairs and get the door opened for me, but there was no reply. “Dad!” I yelled louder, pulling at the knob and then pounding steps coming up the stairs from outside the door sent relief through me but as the door pulled open and I came face to face with a guard, I froze.“Who are you?” I asked and he looked at me, frowning, equally confused.“I'm a guard here,” he replied, and I tilted my head in confusion. What the hell was–That was when it all came rushin
Cassandra's povI stared at the domineering sky scraper in front of me. Who the hell had a skyscraper as a pack house? Everything about the Lycans screamed money and they never wasted an opportunity to flaunt it."Welcome to your new home." The Lycan announced as he stood beside me. When it was glaringly obvious I had no where to run to, I had conceded but I knew it wasn't over and I would find my way out of the pack house no matter what.I quietly followed behind the Lycan, ignoring the stares I was receiving as we walked. They stared at me as though I was an anomaly and in their world I guess I was. They were bo doubt wondering what a filthy little human was doing with one of their own."Alpha." A man whose face was pinched into a frown bowed as he addressed the Lycan.Alpha? My heart dropped as I recognized the title. It explained why this man's aura was so commanding and oozed of power. Was this a sick Joke? How would the alpha of the Lycans think I was his mate? Me, a human!"Kae
Cassandra's pov"What do you mean we are in debt?" I stared at my father in confusion. He looked anywhere but at me and it irritated me to no end."You already know I have an addiction to gambling-" my father began and I groaned."I thought you had sorted that out and we had moved on from that?" I asked."I'm sorry but I couldn't stop Cassandra, no matter how hard I tried." He confessed and a slow sense of dread washed over me.I was beyond disappointed in my dad."How much do you owe?" I asked softly, trying to control the rage within me."We owe nothing. All our- my debts have been paid off." He informed me and I scrunched my brows in confusion."What do you mean?" I asked. My father looked at me with such pain and guilt in his grey orbs and the anticipation of what he would say nearly killed me."A man visited me a while back and offered to pay all my debts." He said casually as if it were no big deal."What did he want in return?" I probbed and my father looked away."Did you sell
