ISABEL POV

"Thalia, come. Quickly." Marita had entered the boarding house where I was kept and rushed off with Thalia, who was having a conversation with me.

"Is something wrong?" I called her but Marita shot me a look that shut me up.

All alone with my thoughts, I started believing that indeed, there was a possibility of Marita being jealous of me being Alpha Xavier's mate. What becomes of me? I had lots of unanswered questions that I needed to answer.

I became worried as darkness approached and there was no word from either Thalia, Marita or even Alpha Xavier. Definitely he sent his men after me, and they must have reported to him that I'd been found. Was he playing some kind of game? Why was he refusing to see me and send for me?
