Lyra’s POV

Princess Elara looked at me and smiled. “You go ahead. I’ll join you soon.”

I nodded. “Alright.”

I left her room and began walking down the long corridor toward the gathering area. The palace felt strangely different tonight. The usual noise was missing. Most of the corridors were quiet, and the only sound I could hear was the soft echo of my footsteps against the polished floor.

I continued walking until something suddenly caught my attention. A figure stood near one of the doorways

  • The Alpha’s forgotten daughter    The rejection

Lyra’s povHe dragged me down the hallway with a grip that left no room for escape, my bare feet skidding against the cool hardwood as I twisted and fought. “Let me go, you monster!” The words tore out of me, half fury, half something hotter I refused to name. Luca didn’t slow. His free hand shoved the bedroom door open hard enough that it cracked against the wall, and then the world tilted. He dropped me onto the mattress without warning. The impact knocked the breath from my lungs. I bounced once, hair spilling across the pillows, and tried to scramble backward on my elbows. He was already over me, knees bracketing my hips, one large hand planted beside my head.“Stay,” he growled.I didn’t. I shoved at his chest. He caught both of my wrists in one hand and pinned them above my head. With the other he gripped the front of my blouse. Buttons scattered like gunfire across the sheets as he forced the fabric open. Cool air kissed my skin a second before the heat of his gaze did. My

  • The Alpha’s forgotten daughter    The claim I never expected

Lyra’s POVFor several seconds, I couldn’t move. I stared at Prince Luca, completely frozen, while the silence around us seemed to grow heavier, pressing down on the entire gathering ground like a storm cloud waiting to break. No one dared to whisper. No one dared to move. Every eye that had been watching the earlier fight now watched me instead, waiting to see what would happen next.My hand was still raised slightly. My heart was pounding so hard that I could hear it inside my ears, drowning out even the distant murmur of the crowd.Did I really just slap the Crown Prince?I looked at my palm in disbelief. I couldn’t believe what I had done. I had acted without thinking. It had been a reflex, born from anger and humiliation I hadn’t been able to hold back any longer. But it had happened, and there was no undoing it now.Luca slowly turned his face back toward me. His expression was impossible to read. He didn’t shout. He didn’t immediately punish me, which somehow frightened me mor

  • The Alpha’s forgotten daughter    The reflect action

Lyra’s POV“ROWAN!” Prince Luca’s voice thundered across the gathering ground. Everyone turned. The atmosphere that had been filled with excitement suddenly became painfully quiet. Even the instructors stopped talking as all eyes moved toward the prince, the collective attention of hundreds of people shifting in a single breath.I froze.Rowan slowly turned around. Luca was walking toward us with a look I had never seen before. His eyes were dark with anger, his fists tightly clenched, and every step he took made it obvious that he was barely controlling himself, the muscles in his jaw working as though he were biting back something far worse than words. “Rowan, how dare you?”Rowan didn’t answer.Luca reached him in seconds. “If I didn’t know you were my cousin, if I didn’t know we shared the same blood, you would have been dead by now.”“Prince Luca, please…”I stepped forward, but he ignored me.“You are a weakling,” Luca spat. “That’s why you became the first Lycan in our history

  • The Alpha’s forgotten daughter    The moment he saw them

Prince Luca’s POV Today was supposed to determine everything. For months, questions had followed me everywhere I went, trailing behind me through council meetings and quiet corridors alike. Wendy was supposed to be my betrothed, but the truth had already come out. The prophecy had been manipulated, and the person everyone had believed was meant for me might not be the one the Moon Goddess had actually chosen. Today could change everything. I stood quietly among the crowd, watching everyone gather as I battled with my thoughts, the noise around me fading into something distant and unimportant. Vani. My wolf stirred inside me. You already know who she is. I clenched my jaw. “Don’t start.” Lyra is the one. I looked toward the gathering ground. Lyra. Even thinking about her name made something inside me change. I had been trying to understand it for so long. Why did I become angry whenever another man came close to her? Why did seeing Rowan touch her make my blood boil? Why did

A figure stood near one of the doorways. At first I couldn’t make out who it was because the corridor was dark, the shadows there deeper than they should have been at this hour. But then I noticed the smile. It was strange. Horrible. The kind of smile that made my stomach tighten immediately.I stopped. “Who was standing there?”. I asked but there was no reply.I quickly reached for the switch on the wall and turned on the light. The figure came into view.Wendy.My eyes widened. She stood there silently for a moment before turning a

  • The Alpha’s forgotten daughter    The announcement

Lyra’s POVI looked at my cousin for a few seconds after everything she had told me. There were still so many questions running through my mind, but I knew this wasn’t the right place to ask her everything. The guards were waiting, and I didn’t want to make things more difficult for her.I reached for her hand and gave it a gentle squeeze. “It’s okay. You can go now.”She looked at me with a little disappointment in her eyes. “I really wanted to stay more with you.”“I know.” I smiled at her. “But you shouldn’t get yourself into trouble because of me.”She nodded slowly. Before she turned away, I remembered something. “Wait.”She looked back.“Please greet my favorite uncle for me.”A smile appeared on her face. “I will.”“And tell him that once the session is over, I may ask him to come here.” I paused before adding, “I might even beg him to let me host him here myself.”Her eyes brightened. “I’ll tell him.”“Good.” I said to her.She gave me one last smile before the guards began le
