Lyra’s POV

I stood there frozen, staring at Mrs. Stella Draven, that strange smile still fixed on her face. I didn’t know what to make of her words or the way she’d looked at me something about her unsettled me down to my bones, and every instinct screamed at me to be careful.

“You are not what they think you are, Lyra,” she repeated.

My lips parted, but nothing came out.

“What do you mean?” I finally managed.

She tilted her head, studying me as though she could see straight through my skin. “I

  • The Alpha’s forgotten daughter    The door he shouldn’t have opened

Lyra’s POVLuca carried me through the hallway as though I weighed nothing, my legs still wrapped around him, my heart still racing from everything that may happened in his room. From finally speaking the truth about my transformation, from the warmth of his mouth against mine. Every time I remembered him calling me his little fox, my cheeks warmed all over again. The thought suddenly crossed my mind, and I immediately tried to push it away. But what if it was true? What if all the confusion between us, the jealousy, the way he protected me, and the strange pull I felt whenever he was close were all because the Moon Goddess had chosen him for me?And worse… what if I was beginning to love him?I had spent so much time convincing myself that Luca was arrogant, controlling, and impossible to deal with. Yet beneath all of that, I had seen another side of him. A side that protected me, worried about me, and even apologized when he realized he had hurt me.If he truly was my fated mate, wo

  • The Alpha’s forgotten daughter    The truth I couldn’t hide

Lyra’s POV“Who are you, Lyra?”The question hung between us, heavy enough to steal my breath. I stood frozen, staring into Luca’s eyes while his hand remained firm around my neck. Then, unexpectedly, his expression softened. “You must not lie to me,” he said. “We’re going to your father’s pack soon.”I blinked. “My father’s pack?”“Yes. To find out who framed you for stealing the golden relic.” He added. My heart skipped. “We’re going?”“We are.” His voice stayed calm, but something protective ran beneath it something I wasn’t used to hearing from him. “Everyone who has ever hurt you will pay deeply for it.”I stared at him, momentarily without words. How could someone be this confusing? One moment he was sweet, protective, making me believe nothing could touch me while he stood near and the next he turned cold enough to silence an entire room. Sometimes I thought I should be the one asking who are you. The way he spoke about protecting me stirred something warm in my chest, somethi

  • The Alpha’s forgotten daughter    Who are you

Lyra’s POVI stared at Luca, completely caught off guard by what I’d just heard. My heart still hadn’t settled from the shock of his voice cutting through the silence behind me. He stood only a few steps away, his eyes fixed on me with an intensity that made it impossible to look at anything else.I bent quickly and retrieved my key. “You see…” I started, forcing my voice steady. “I resisted him.”His expression didn’t shift. “I know.”I frowned. “Then why are you angry?”His eyes narrowed. “I’m not talking about him.”“Then who are you talking about?” I asked. He took a slow step forward. “I’m talking about him.” I followed his gaze and understood …..Rowan. “He doesn’t get to touch what’s mine.”My heart skipped. “What’s yours?”His jaw tightened. “You heard me.”I stared at him a moment before shaking my head. “But why are you monitoring me?” I raised an eyebrow. “You’re supposed to be a prince, Luca. Live your own life.” He said nothing. “And if you insist on monitoring someone, mo

  • The Alpha’s forgotten daughter    What is mine

Lyra’s POVRowan smiled, as though my question hadn’t surprised him at all. “Must the Moon Goddess say it first ?”.I stared at him, thoroughly lost. “What?”He stepped closer, his confidence unshaken. “Can’t you feel the bond?”I said nothing.“Everything we’ve shared,” he pressed. “How close we’ve grown. Doesn’t any of it mean something to you?”“Huh?” The word slipped out before I could stop it. I genuinely didn’t understand where he was going. A bond? I’d known Rowan for a while now yes, we had grown close, and yes, he’d been there for me more than once, someone I could talk to when things felt unbearable. But whatever he was describing, I had never once felt it.Before I could say more, his expression sharpened. “I hope you aren’t thinking about Prince Luca.”My heart gave an odd, involuntary jolt at his name.“Because he has nothing to do with you,” Rowan continued.I frowned. “What are you talking about?”“You know exactly what I’m talking about.” His voice firmed. “Prince Luca

  • The Alpha’s forgotten daughter    The rumor about my wolf

Lyra’s POVThe moment those words left my mouth, I turned and walked away from Ivy without looking back.I didn’t feel guilty. I didn’t feel a shred of remorse leaving her standing there with tears streaking her face. There might have been a time when those tears would have shattered something in me, a time I would have run back, pulled her into a hug, promised her everything would be fine. Not anymore. I had learned my lesson. I wasn’t going to fall for her crocodile tears a second time.My heart still felt heavy, but not from regret this time. It was the weight of finally understanding that some people would keep hurting you for as long as you kept handing them the chance. As I walked farther from the garden, Nyra’s voice stirred inside my mind. You were right.I sighed. “Nyra, you were right. I shouldn’t have believed her.”For a moment my wolf stayed quiet. “There was always something off about her,” I continued. “I just didn’t want to see it.”It’s not your fault, Lyra. Don’t pun

I couldn’t tell whether she meant the mountain, or something else entirely. I had spent so much of my life believing I was nothing extraordinary called wolfless, weak, useless for so long that even after everything that had happened, part of me still resisted the idea that I could be anything more.“How do you know?” I asked caref
