THE INTRODUCTION

ANNIE’S POV

When I woke up, I heard the murmur of Karin’s voice from somewhere down the hall. For a few seconds I just lay there, staring at the ceiling, trying to prepare myself for another day in this strange new life. Then there was a knock on my door.

“Annie,” Karin’s deep voice came through. “Get ready. We’re attending an event this evening.”

I sat up quickly. “An event?”

“Yes. A private business dinner. Be ready by six.”

Before I could ask anything else, I heard his foots

THE BLOODLINE AWAKES ANNIE'S POVJoy. Pure, blinding, and terrifying had flooded every corner of my soul the exact moment Karin’s lips pressed against mine. The roar of the cathedral, the watchful eyes of the High Council, all of it had simply evaporated into dust. There was only the heat of his hands cupping my face, the rich scent of cedarwood wrapping around me, and the sudden, fierce snap of a bond locking our wolves together.I had gripped his coat, drowning in the sweetness of his mouth, surrendering completely to the realization that I was finally safe. I was his. He was mine.“You’re mine now, Annie,” he had whispered against my lips.I had looked up into his dark, breathtaking eyes, my heart soaring so high it felt like it would burst right out of my chest. And then, the world shattered. The roaring cheers of the cathedral didn't fade, they were instantly ripped away, replaced by a terrifying vacuum of silence. The warmth of Karin’s hands on my cheeks vanished. The solid ma

THE VOW AND THE FALLKARIN'S POVThe stone arches of the Grand Cathedral hummed with anticipation.Hundreds of high ranking pack elders, council members, and elite diplomats sat in rigid, silent ranks along the carved wooden pews. Sunlight streamed through the towering stained-glass windows, painting the aisle in fractured hues of sapphire, crimson, and gold.I stood at the altar in my formal Alpha dress uniform, my hands clasped loosely behind my back. Kaelan was pacing frantically beneath my skin, his predatory instincts heightened, his senses strained to their absolute limit. Every wolf in the grand hall was holding their breath, waiting for the arrival of the future Luna of Moonfang. Then, the massive doors at the rear of the cathedral swung open. The low, majestic swell of the organ echoed off the stone walls, but the sound faded into distant background noise the exact second my eyes landed on her.Annie.My heart slammed against my ribs with a violent, erratic force that threw m

For a second, my mind refused to register that the breathtaking figure looking back at me was actually myself. The wedding gown was an absolute masterpiece. Crafted from moonlight white silk with intricate floral lace hand-embroidered across the sweetheart bodice, it hugged my waist before cascading down into a dramatic, sweeping train that stretched across the plush carpet. A sheer, lace-trimmed cathedral veil cascaded down my back, anchored into my dark waves by a diamond tiara. A heirloom of the Moonfang Pack.My heart was beating erratically. A mix of pure, nervousness and a sudden, quiet surge of undeniable excitement."Oh, Annie... you look like an absolute goddess," a warm, familiar voice squeaked out from behind me.I turned my head slightly as Mira s

COUNTING DOWN THE HOURSANNIE'S POVForty-eight hours. Two days.In exactly one hundred and forty-four thousand seconds, I would no longer be Annie Moonbane, the discarded daughter, an outcast wandering the fringes of pack society. I would step across the threshold of the grand cathedral, walk down an aisle lined with the highest-ranking pack elders in the country, and take my place as the official, legally bound Luna of the Moonfang Pack. The weight of it felt like an actual presence sitting directly on my chest, compressing my ribs until breathing required conscious, deliberate effort.I stood in the center of the penthouse’s master dressing suite, surrounding myself with an intimidating sea of garment bags, velvet jewelry boxes, and pristine white garment racks. The sun was just beginning to set over the city skyline,I looked at my reflection in the mirror standing before me.The rehearsal gown I was currently wearing, a fitted, icy-blue silk sheath with off-the-shoulder sleeves

WOVEN TRAPS AND BITTERVowsLINA'S POVThe gates of the Moonbane estate slid open with, allowing Damian’s sleek silver sports car to glide up the winding stone driveway.I leaned back against the leather passenger seat, staring out at the grand brick facade of my father’s manor. The crimson lips painted on my face curved into a sharp, triumphant smirk that I didn't bother hiding from the man sitting in the driver's seat beside me.Everything was falling into place. Every pawn was shifting on the board exactly where I needed them to be.Beside me, Damian kept one hand firm on the steering wheel while his eyes darted nervously toward me every few seconds. He looked handsome in his tailored charcoal suit, his dark hair styled to perfection, but beneath that polished exterior, he was completely unravelling. He was terrified, terrified of Karin Voss’s retribution, terrified of losing his status in the pack elite, and utterly dependent on me to pull him out of the grave he had dug for himsel

WHISPERS OF THE FUTUREKARIN'S POVThe screen of my phone flashed, the call to Lucien finally disconnecting with a soft beep. The low hum of the penthouse ventilation system was the only sound in the room, but the air around us felt charged. Lucien had called merely to test the waters, to poke at a fresh bruise, and to remind me that the family memorial in two weeks would bring all our hidden fractures crashing into the light.I let out a slow breath, forcing the violent surge of Kaelan's rage back down into the shadows of my mind. I couldn't afford to lose my temper. Not here. Not now.I lowered the phone from my ear and slipped it back into the pocket of my trousers. My attention immediately snapped back to Annie. She was standing frozen near the marble kitchen island, her hands clutching the edge of the white counter so tightly her knuckles had turned completely stark white. The color had drained entirely from her face, leaving her skin looking translucent and fragile against the
