Chapter three

Keisha’s pov

I woke up to the ray of the sun shining in through my window, groaning as I got up to do my morning business. I first had to ease myself because my bladder was really full. I stand up from my bed and head to my bathroom sluggishly. I feel so tired. I get into the toilet and sit on it. I ease myself and then clean up and head to the shank to get my teeth brushed. I then look into the mirror and stare at my reflection for a bit. I look really sad but despite that I wanted to be happy for today. I then finish brushing my teeth and head into the shower to take my bath. I put on the shower, let it run for sometime then I jumped in. 

I then step out of the shower dripping wet. I then reached out for my towel and dried my body then wrapped it around me. I then step out of the bathroom and head towards my makeover table. I took out my body lotion and applied it on my body gently. I could see lots of scars but I really didn’t want to care about it. I then checked my time and I was already late. I hurriedly put on my hoodie and sweatpants and hurriedly headed for the kitchen to join the other maids in preparing breakfast.

On my way to the kitchen I remember that it’s just two days to the moonlight eclipse ball. This makes me so happy and excited because according to due I’ll definitely find my mate and  he will save us from this hell hole of a place.

Arriving at the kitchen I smile to myself and begin cooking. I decided to make scrambled eggs on toast for the Alpha, Luna and also all the pack members and for me I made marmite on toast which I will eat in my room. I’ve never been allowed to sit in the dining room. My uncle will never let that happen.

I think they could smell the food and one by one they began to come downstairs. Eventually they were all downstairs, Ann and Christy two of the maids came to serve them while I dished. Once served they all began to eat.

“So are you excited for the moonlight eclipse ball” the pack slut Hannah asked one of her minions, “oh my gosh yeah! We are so excited” all her minions answered. I really dislike Hannah. She's the queen bee and the pack slut and thinks highly of herself and for her minions they have no mind of their own, always doing what Hannah says and it’s quite funny.

I take my food to my room to go eat. I'm so happy cause I won’t be seeing my uncle today. When I’m done eating I’ve to go meet the Luna do get her dress ready, this is going to be fun. 

Going to Luna's room, the dressmaker has come already. She takes the measurements of Luna while I sit down observing what the dressmaker is doing.

“Keisha come here my love, sit so Lee(the dressmaker) can take your measurements aren’t you going for the ball? It's in 3 days.”

I go over to sit close to the Luna and while screaming in my head I’ve been thinking of what to wear to the ball that’s in 3 days cause all I have are sweatpants and sweatshirts only, and the Luna is paying for my dress I’m going to look so beautiful thank you moon goddess I don’t know what I would have worn to the ball.

Coming back from my thoughts the dressmaker has already finished taking my measurements. Thanking the Luna I head straight for my room.

“I can’t wait for the ball it’s going to be so fun and we are going to be saved and taken away from here by our mate”

I can’t wait too. I just hope everything works for us Due, I just want to leave this place by all means. I know I won’t exactly warm up to our mate because of everything but I hope eventually I can trust other people.

“I understand Keisha I’ll always be here for you no matter what and I know you’ll conquer every obstacle.”

It’s the day of the moonlight eclipse ball, the day that everyone has been waiting for and it has finally arrived. Everyone is preparing while I’m cooking the dishes for later tonight. I haven’t since uncle for three days. I don't know if it’s a bad thing or a good thing. I'm just trying to stay positive.

I’m finally done with the cooking and preparation of the foods I’m on my way to go dress up. I’m not a fan of makeup so I’m just going to put on a little bit of mascara and a little bit of pink lipgloss with blush. Looking at myself in the mirror I don’t look bad at all, I walk to my closet to get the dress the Luna had the dressmaker sew for me “oh my gosh it is so adorable”

I’ve never owned something like this before.

Putting on my dress I walked to the mirror to take a look at myself, I almost cried looking at myself. I haven't looked this beautiful since my parents died. The dress is so elegant and beautiful it makes me look like a princess.

“You look extraordinarily beautiful Keisha, there’s nobody that will see you and won’t stare at you and drool.”

Thanks so much. Due I feel very different. I wish mom and dad were here to see me and take a picture of me for memories.”

“You know they are looking at us from wherever they are and smiling proudly at us. Don’t forget that we will forever be in their hearts and they are proud of us.

Thanks Due I will never forget that.

Preparing to leave my room for the ball but someone beat me to opening my room door.
