~Willow~
I waited anxiously in my room for night to cover. If there really was a vampire beside the river, it could be my only chance to make father happy.I was distracted when I heard a knock on my door. So I got up and walked towards it, when I opened it, I came in contact with a servant."The Alpha's eldest son asks for you to meet him beside the lake." She delivered, bowed slightly and walked away.Marcellus wants to see me? The thought of it made my wolf excited. Without wasting another second, I slipped out of my room and headed towards the lake. When I got there, I found him seated on his usual spot, his drawing book in his hands and his attention solely on whatever he was sketching under the moonlight. However, he closed the book as soon as I got closer to him and got up. We stared at each other in silence before I decided to break it."You asked for me."He breathed out and walked towards me. I could hear his soft breathing and the urge to be marked by him overwhelmed me.I reached over and swooped off the hairs on the side of my neck, hoping he'd mark me as soon as possible. However, he just stared at me without saying a word. At this point, I got anxious. Has he realized what I did or did Ashley spill anything to him?"Willow, as much as I know this will break your heart, I can't mark you as my mate. Reason because I don't feel attracted to you, neither does my wolf. The situation around isn't also good for you to be nearby. I suggest you head back to Crescent Moon so your safety would be assured."As much as I was heartbroken, this wasn't a chance I planned on letting go of so quickly. Of what use would it be to be the daughter of an Alpha and not become a Luna?!"The moon goddess knows what she did. Pairing us together, she knew we would make a great couple." I tried to convince him as I reached out to hold his hands but he withdrew."Let's talk about this tomorrow. I have a duel to prepare for tomorrow. Let's walk back together." He offered.I nodded hesitantly. As we walked back into the Alpha's house, I observed the exits that'd make it possible for me to carry out my plans for the night. He stopped me in front of my door and bade me goodnight.I waited for thirty minutes before exploiting the plot holes I had noticed earlier. Soon, I was walking towards the house of the vampire.Like they described, it was beside the lake. So for him not to be discovered easily by those new to the territory, he'd stay somewhere hidden. All it took was a second determined look before I saw an odd-looking house which tallied with the greeneries around it.It was no use walking stealthily as whoever was in there must've seen me stand stagnant for almost ten minutes.I expected the door to be locked but when I pushed it open, it easily gave way. I got in apprehensively whilst searching the room for any possible living thing."I've been waiting for you." I heard someone say and turned towards the direction of the voice.A lantern was also lit by him. The door also chose to close at this moment."It's quite chilly in here. With the door closed, you shouldn't have to worry about catching a cold." This time, I noticed the voice sounded feminine. The tongue of the lantern had now grown tall and I could see the exquisite face of the lady. The long silver hair which occupied her head confirmed my suspicion."You must be the vampire who lives in the woods." I said, not letting my guard down. When she turned to look at me, her silver eyes reminded me of Ashley."I surely am. The only one who makes the mothers apprehensive. For the past hundred years I keep hearing them warn their children not to come close to the woods alone. Not like they themselves stand any chance against me." I heard her say as she dropped the lantern on a table and walked towards the steaming kettle on the fire."Beware of what you say. This is still our Territory!" I warned, trying my best not to get agitated. She looked at me and scoffed whilst pouring whatever it is that was on the fire. "Willow Baker, what do you want from me?"Her words caught me off balance. "How do you know my name?""I've been here for more than a hundred years. I know about a lot of people. Go straight to the point before I lose my patience." She said and walked towards me, stopped a meter away and passed me the cup.I was nervous at the request I brought forward, so I took a big gulp out of the liquid and said, "Can you make me a vampire like you?"...~Ashley~Jerry dumped me in a room. Before he left, he said, "I don't know where you've suddenly gotten the guts to disobey, but if you think about leaving this room, the Alpha won't spare you.""I'm really beginning to hate that guy." I heard Kiara say and rolled my eyes."You stayed silent for so long that I was beginning to think you were dead.""You two pretending that I ain't here is extremely depressing and annoying." It was a sassy female voice.I looked around the room several times to see no one in it. "Who the hell are you and where are you?"I heard her chuckle before she said shockingly, "In your head.""I've never heard of a werewolf having two wolves.""Who said I'm your wolf?" She scoffed. "My name is Blaine, nice to meet you, Ashely.""This is not about meeting you. Who the hell are you?" I asked with a sigh."I've been asleep for so long, yearning to be let out. I'm your vampire side.~Ashley~I woke up due to the voices in my head. "Blaine, Kiara, can you two lower your voices? I'm trying to sleep here!" Kiara quietened but as the demon that she was, Blaine didn't want to. "Come on, there's no need to be harsh on the little wolf." "Who do you think you're referring to as little!" Kiara rebuffed, getting ready for another squabble. The same one which woke me. Just when I was about to caution them, the door to my room swung open and Cage walked in. "Good morning and sorry for entering in such a rash way. Your presence is needed at the meeting room." He said as he walked towards me. "Ever since I got into this house, I've lost my right as a pack member as most of them now think I killed one of my kind." I said as I got up from the wooden bed. "We didn't really blame you, we just hoped you had seen what happened. But I don't think you're needed again because another killing transpired last night." He smiled and looked towards the door. "Let's move along while
I jerked up as soon as I heard approaching footsteps. When I looked towards the door, I saw mother standing with a bucket of cold water in her right hand. She smirked seeing I was awake. "I was beginning to think you won't wake up." I didn't reply her as I struggled to get up from the bed. When I passed her by, I grabbed the bucket in her hand forcefully, "Permit me to use this in washing my face." I walked out with it and returned back when I was done. She already changed positions, sitting on the wooden chair. "If you have anything to say to me. Say it!" I scoffed, dumping the bucket beside the chair. "There are different news flying about. Some say you tried seducing Marcellus and others say you killed Omega George. As your mother, I'm caught between crossroads at which to believe." Then she turned to look at me and asked seriously, "Don't you think you should tell me what it is you've been doing ever since you turned 18?" "I don't need to tell you what I've been doing. As you
~Ashley~The sound of children playing outside made me open my eyes slowly. I held my banging head and sat up. I looked around and noticed I was in my room. When I looked outside, I noticed it was morning. Jerking up, I rushed to the window dumbstruck at how I got there. Other than that, I had no memory of what happened with me and Rebecca. As I thought hard on what happened, Cassie's face soon appeared in my view. The look in her eyes wasn't something new to me. "I'm sorry I couldn't make it last night." I apologized. Cassie just stared at me, her expression changing from anger to shock. "What is it?" I asked apprehensively. "Y-our sc-ar. It's gone!" Oh no!Whatever happened, I just found myself scaling through the window and jumping over to her room. I held her head and narrowed my eyes down to hers. "I've been taking something which has been clearing it. If you want it, I can lend it to you." She had a blank look on her face before she slowly nodded. I nodded as well and s
~Ashley~"Coming to this lake isn't that bad of a choice after all. At least, I get to maintain my peace of mind." I murmured, drawing whatever came to mind with my eyes closed. Ever since I compelled Cassie and Jenny, Blaine and Kiara have been at war. Their source of bickering didn't make sense to me so I decided to have a quiet time beside the lake. Like Marcellus often does. My ear suddenly twitched as I heard an ongoing conversation and hurried footsteps. "Did you hear?" "Hear what?" "Seven pack members died last night. The witch was asked to divine what happened and she said a banshee wailed close to our pack."A surprise gasp flew out of the listener's mouth. "We haven't had a banshee come near us for decades. Why does this one suddenly have to appear out of nowhere?" "That isn't the problem for me. The Alpha has ordered everyone to go back to training in the pack house. Young pack members, male and female, who have the will and desire to fight are urged to try it." "Bei
It didn't take long before a pack member sauntered into the pack house. His eyes fell on me, then it trailed down to Willow who was unconscious on the floor. "What—"Snap! I threw him to the ground as soon as I snapped his neck. Touching my forehead, I sighed and bent down to drag him up. "What do I do?" I asked Blaine, unblocking our connection. "First of all, you did the wrong thing. Compelling him would've gone a long way. Second of all, you haven't fed me in days, he doesn't look bad." I heard her reply. As usual, she suggested something cruel. Just like I expected, Kiara's voice came up next, "You're always suggesting terrible things." "Come on, love, stop judging me. Unlike you, I have the power to do these things and get away with it. That's the difference between us." Blaine retorted. "Shut up you two!" I snapped and felt them quieten. "Kiara, like Blaine said, I can't live without either of you. Hence, you have to learn to be at peace with each other." "Exactly! That'
~Ashley~ As I returned back to the pack, I noticed the dead had been cleaned up for their funeral. Even though the crying had subsided, the families of the deceased still had tears in their eyes. The burial was done around eight and everyone returned to their homes. Like every other night after I turned eighteen, my mother sat on the chair with a grim face. "I haven't set my eyes on you since last night, Ashley. Where have you been?" "As much as I would've loved to tell you, I don't think it's any of your business." I replied walking past her. However, she suddenly got up and wedged me against a wall, her eyes murderous. "I am your mother, you live under my roof so you should answer my questions whenever I ask them!" I stared into her face and scoffed. Then as quickly as I could, I pried her hands off and got away from her grip. "You've been housing me for eighteen years without any complaint. If you can house me for just one more year, I can consider moving out of your house
~Ashley~We stood far from them which made it impossible for Onniel and the other wolves to hear what was being said. But as the vampire that I am, I heard everything. "Your Alpha invites us to war against Thorny Heart Pack? Does he think we've become so weak because of the constant deaths within our pack?" I heard Marcellus ask with a kind smile. One of the messages chuckled and retorted. "A pack whose members die every day doesn't need to remain on its own lest the whole pack members dies. What benefits will that bring to them and to the ones who refrained from acquiring them." Marcellus touched the sides of his mouth as he muttered a thoughtful, "Oh, I see." Maverick on the other hand, had a somewhat ingratiating smile as he tried to ease the tension by saying, "Gentlemen, we can have a talk with your Alpha later. Return back and report to your Alpha about our reluctance to fight one of our own." Then he stopped and turned to Marcellus, "Please lead them safely out of here bro
New Jersey~Rebecca~"Nice place you have here." I heard and raised my head from the neck of the man I was feeding on. I wiped off the blood on my lips with a tissue and turned to welcome the Intruder. "Samuel Tonkins, to what do I owe your arrogant presence?" Samuel stopped just some meters away from me. I looked behind him to see he had come with three of his men, a lady and two men. "If paying an old friend a visit is described as arrogance, then I must tell you, you're the arrogant one." He replied smugly. I stared down at the compelled man who I had fed on and said to him, "You can leave. Be sure to return in thirty minutes, I ain't done feeding." He nodded and stood up. Then he walked away like a robot. "The last time you visited, I buried a dozen of my men who tried to stop you. Now, I hope you didn't do anything funny or I'll happily bestow upon you my punishment." He smiled and sat in the space beside me. "We both know why I'm here." "I don't." I replied and got up t
