Lucian’s POV

I couldn't help but feel frustrated by Calla's stubbornness. I had tried everything I could think of to convince her to accept our mate bond, but it seemed like nothing was working.

I had even gone as far as to pamper her, hoping that it would soften her heart towards me, but it seemed like that was a futile effort. Calla remained as stubborn as ever.

As we sat in silence, eating our breakfast, I couldn't help but feel a sense of hopelessness. I didn't want to give up on Calla, but it seemed like there was no other way.

I had promised myself that I would do everything in my power to make her mine, but it seemed like she had other ideas. Her rejection of our mate bond stung, but I refused to let it bring me down.

I needed to find a way to make Calla see that we were meant to be together, that she was my soulmate, and that nothing would change that.

“Calla,” I said, breaking the silence. “I know you don't want to talk about the mate bond, but I need you to hear me out.”
