60. Hereupon

“What truly happened?” I asked her. Instead of answering, she directed her staff midriff. Then, it came again. The epitome of that energy. Her hair blew mightily, once again, with a daunting and intimidating expression all on her features.

As before, everything around me looked like an illusion suddenly. A force lifted us both. This made my mind lurk to various possibilities. I didn’t yelp this time. Either way, I wasn’t as calm as she was. She was certainly used to more of this.

From the corner of my eye, I peeked at her and saw that she closed her eyes. Thus, I imitated her actions too, closing my eyes. Suddenly, it was like we were pulled from that world beneath the sea, to another.

Again, my body was somewhat weightless and translucent. Slowly, I opened my eyes only to see that once again, we were underwater. My eyes naturally directed to her, my eyes to her, as we settled.

Just pointing out that you said in a previous chapter that it was the Sea Goddess who messed up the first mating and the Moon Goddess was the one who gave her Killian. Just saying do not confuse your readers please.
