Chapter 18

Avery's pov

I opened my eyes, squinting them a bit as I felt soreness from them. I had been crying a lot lately. It had been a week since I caught Isabella and Devon having sex and things have taken a turn for the worse since then.

I had thought that Devon would come and apologize, begging for forgiveness. I even made up my mind to forgive him, I like him a lot and he made me feel loved, I don't want that to end.

But he didn't apologize, in fact, he is yet to come see me ever since that day. I've been staying in my room since then, not going out at all. The only time I opened the doors was when the maids brought over my food or came to pick up the food since I barely touched them.

I sighed, I had to do something, I needed to know why he did it, why Isabella decided to betray me and why neither of them was apologizing.

I walked into the bathroom and took a very long bath. I wore a simple blue gown and walked out of my room, heading towards Isabella's quarters.
