Damn you, stripper!

ALPHA ZEUS' POV

I could not wait for my entourage to come to a stop before so I could vent my anger on everyone. The luxurious limousine I was in suddenly felt like the most horrifying place to be in. There was nothing I could think of if not the damn bitch I saw with my own eyes. The fact that my men could not even get to her was more of a concern to me.

The greatly feared members of the darkest moon pack could not even get hold of a single lady. Damn it! I had no idea I had been breeding weaklings in the pack.

When the cars came to a stop inside the premises of my luxury home, I opened the door myself and stepped into the embrace of the morning sun.

Oh yeah! This was a perfect atmosphere to break some bones. I shut my eyes and absorbed the heat of the morning. I drew in a long air before finally letting it out. When I opened my eyes, I saw the men assembled right before me.

"Who do I have to kill first?" I asked in a fierce but calm tone.

No response came from them. Oh yeah, there was a collective response. I could see the fear that had already gripped every damn part of their being. They looked like they were going to pee in their pants.

“Hmm,” I exhaled heavily and adjusted my necktie. “One lady," I said. “Just one lady disappeared from the chase of the supposedly vicious members of the darkest moon pack. Damn it!!"

I walked to one and grabbed him by the collar. I squeezed tightly until he was beginning to choke. Then, I gently lifted him from the ground through the choke. He was no longer breathing. I could see him struggling to breathe. But that somehow gave me joy. I gnashed my teeth angrily like I would bite deep into his skull and spit his brain cells out.

"Pl..ea…se.." he struggled to speak. "So..rr..y."

I could see him dying slowly. As much as I would want that, I was no tyrant who would kill a subject over a damned piece of shit.

Without warning, I yanked my hand off his neck and let him fall to the ground. He coughed hard.

Out of fear, the rest went on their knees. In anger, I turned to the car. And at that point, I had a glimpse of my face. I looked like I was going to kill every one of them. But I was not. I would not do that.

"Rise," I managed to be as calm as I could.

They all got on their feet. But I could still see the fear.

"The darkest moon pack has been known for its fierceness and strength. But what I witnessed earlier on made no sense. All of you, who are supposed to be my worthy protectors, not like I need any, could not get your hands on a single lady. "

I paused for a good while before I spoke again. I was getting my pieces together.

“You all will get her picture. A grand prize awaits the one that brings the damned girl to me.”

Without a further statement, I strode into my home and settled on a couch. I was having a glass of wine that was served to me when Maxwell walked in.

“Good morning, my alpha,” he said. “The most dreaded of them all, you are welcome back to your place of kingship.”

“Maxwell,” I called and sipped my wine.

“Yes, Alpha."

“Does it make sense that Alpha Zeus got robbed on his first night in his domain?”

“Alpha Zeus, no one would dare to rob you. No one would even think of such a thing. Unless perhaps, such a person has a death wish signed somewhere. Don't you think so?”

Mmmh. I smiled at him and had a little sip of my wine. He probably didn't understand the situation at the moment.

“What do I think?” I asked. “You know, I would have agreed with you totally if you had said this before my arrival. Anyway, I told you to find someone. Have you been able to track her down?”

His facial expression clearly said he was yet to find the stripper.

“Uhm, regarding that, Alpha Zeus, I have not gotten my hands on her location.”

I grabbed the wine glass tightly till it burst and shattered in my hand. Maxwell didn't flinch. Although, I could hear his heartbeat beginning to race. He was beginning to sense the situation could be more serious.

"Is …there something I should know, Alpha?" He asked. “It appears you are not in a really good mood."

"Oh yes, I am not. What the hell is wrong with all of you? Those guys out there, all of them, could not get their hands on the damn stripper that I saw not long ago."

"The stripper? You saw her."

"I did. But she vanished. And here you are, telling me you can't track her location."

He cleared his throat. "But Alpha, why not go for another stripper? If you wish, I could get you the best of the best for tonight. Believe me, they will give you more pleasure than you can imagine. As for the stripper, if —"

I cut him off. Listening further could get me riled up.

"My bracelet," I said.

He looked at me, slightly confused. "Your bracelet? I don't think I understand you."

“The symbol of authority I carry with me is gone."

"What?!" He yelled out. I could see the terror that had gripped him. "You mean the bracelet, the darkest moon pack's symbol of authority, is gone. How is that even possible?" He chuckled. "Alpha Zeus, I know you are trying to pull a quick one on me. But I can't fall for it. Sorry to disappoint me." He laughed.

It made no sense. Not even to me too. At least, it was never heard that an alpha in the pack's history lost his symbol of authority. There was no way to reconcile it. For it to happen means the Alpha was not up to his task. Losing it would mean having to step down, eventually.

"This is no joke, Maxwell," I replied firmly. "Get me the stripper ."

"Are you saying the stripper might have taken it from you? Why would a person, a stripper at that, steal from Alpha Zeus Ludendorff? Maybe she didn't know the value of what she took."

"That is more reason to stay away from it," I said. "The bracelet is too simple. There's no special thing. Not made of diamond, gold, or silver. Why would someone take it without knowing about it?" I stroked my hair a bit uneasily. "Besides, I don't think she's a stripper."

"Of course, she should be. Why would she strip dance in front of everyone and even go on to have sex with you if she's not a stripper? She should be a hired stripper."

"Hired stripper," I said. "That could make sense except for the fact that no stripper would be a virgin."

"Virgin?" Maxwell was taken aback again. "How can a stripper be a virgin?"

"Now, you understand why I desperately need to get my hands on her. That daughter of a bitch took something of high value to me. The strip dance could have been an act put up by her to get me into her web. And I fell for it."

"I wasn't going to say this, Alpha. But I think it makes sense now."

"And what could that be?" I asked curiously. I tried to be very calm. "Did you find something?"

"The stripper, she was Diego's mate."

"Diego? Who is that?"

"The Alpha prince of the crescent pack. It is said that she got rejected by him a couple of days ago."

"Hmm," I exhaled and settled back on the couch. "Do you believe that?"

"Maybe it's all an act. Or there is more. Perhaps, she has to get him the bracelet to be accepted back by him."

I chuckled at the thought of it. Was the so-called Alpha prince trying to get ambitious by taking the bracelet? Could he be asking for war? The last thing any pack would want would be going to war against us.

"Mount a tail on Diego. Report his every move. And you have just twenty-four hours from now to hand me the location of that bitch. Am I understood?"

"Yes, Alpha."

"One more thing," I said. "Make me an exact copy of the bracelet. No one needs to notice the absence of the original."

"My mouth is yours, Alpha. I'll do your bidding."

A fake bracelet would only buy some time. It probably won't take time before it's figured out. That'll be the shameful end of my reign. For now, I just have to buy myself some time. Damn you, stripper!
