He was absolutely livid when she walked out on him! "Who the hell does she think she is, walked into his office and talked to him in that manner ?" he screamed, slamming the wall in anger.

He grabbed his phone and dialed his P.A.'s number. "Call that stupid old man and tell him he's got three days. If he doesn't deliver, I'm canceling that damn deal!" he yelled at his P.A.

Without any explanation, he fired more than fifteen of his employees and stormed out of the office. He drove off, not even knowing where he was going, her words still ringing in his ears. Nobody had ever dared to disrespect him like she did.

"No way! She's gonna pay for this!" he said, hitting the steering wheel with all his might.

Lisa’s POV

She returned home in tears only to receive the devastating news that her dad had collapsed and was rushed to the hospital. In a state of panic, she rushed to the hospital and pleaded with the doctor for answers, desperately hoping they could save her father.

The doctor, in a calm tone, explained to her that her dad had been diagnosed with heart disease. There was something he needed but wasn't getting, which could be dangerous for his heart and potentially lead to his death. She couldn't believe what she was hearing and yelled, refusing to accept that her father was dying.

“No, Doctor! I can't accept that my father is dying! I need to see him right away!”Lisa yelled

“Lisa, I understand your emotions, but it's crucial that we approach this situation calmly. Your father's condition is serious, and we need to discuss the best course of action.”The doctor said in a calmly

She walked out on him and rushed to her father's room. “Dad, please, wake up! I've made the decision to marry the person you wanted. I'll sign the contract. Please, don't leave me.”She said crying

Slowly opening his eyes, ”Lisa, are you serious about this? Are you truly willing to save my company from bankruptcy?”

“Yes, Dad, I am. I promise to do everything in my power. Please, don't leave me alone.”She said still crying

“Thank you so much, Lisa, May God bless you, you’ve made me the happiest father today”.

He was discharged the next day and Lisa hasn’t been herself ever since then, she can’t believe she agreed to a contract marriage with that rude and arrogant jerk.

“ I can’t believe this is happening to me, a contract marriage? What about my dreams “. She cried

THE NEXT DAY

Mr. Edward dressed up in his sharp business attire, paced back and forth, his mind racing with worry. Lisa, still in her comfortable bathrobe, sat at the kitchen table, arms crossed, her expression skeptical.

"Dad, it's only 8 am! Why are you in such a hurry?" She questioned, her voice tinged with frustration.

Mr. Edward sighed, his eyes filled with determination. "Sweetheart, we need to be there by 9. Time is ticking, and we can't afford to be late," he explained, his words laced with urgency.

Lisa's eyebrows furrowed as she looked at her father. "But Dad, isn’t he supposed to come to us? Why do we have to go to him?" she asked, her voice tinged with anger.

He paused, his face reflecting a mix of concern and understanding. "Lisa, I've asked him for help, and it's only fair that we go to him," he replied, trying to reassure her.

Lisa slumped in her chair, feeling a wave of frustration wash over her. "I can't believe I'm marrying that jerk," she muttered under her breath, her voice filled with disappointment.

Mr. Edward, sensing his daughter's distress, reached out a hand and gently placed it on her shoulder. "I understand it's not easy, sweetheart. But do this to save your father please " he said, his voice filled with empathy.

“Ugh, I’m no going anywhere! And dad please don’t try to force me, I’m still trying to believe I’m marrying that jerk!”

“Okay Lisa I will go there alone,” he said leaving the house feeling down

George’s POV

No way, man! It has to be the three of us signing, just like it says in the contract," He exclaimed, raising his voice at Mr. Edward.

"I get it, Mr. George, but she's sick, that's why she couldn't make it today," Mr. Edward explained.

"Well, then we'll just have to wait until she feels better. You can sign your part now, and when she's back and signs her part, you'll get the credited ," George proposed confidently.

Mr. Edward fell silent, unsure of what to do next.

Listen, I'm not gonna force it. If this contract isn't gonna work out, let's just forget about it," George said, a mischievous smirk appearing on his face."No...no, I'll sign my part, and I'll make sure she comes tomorrow to sign hers," Mr. Edward agreed, feeling a bit pressured.

Mr Edward stormed out of the office, frustration etched on his face. As he stepped onto the bustling city streets, his mind raced with thoughts of how to convince Lisa to come and sign the papers the next day.

Lisa’s POV

She woke up with a heavy heart, still feeling the cold tension between her and her father after their argument. She couldn't believe that he was threatening to disown her over the contract marriage. Determined to resolve the situation, she decided to go and sign the papers at the company.

As Lisa arrived at the office, she brushed past the secretary, her mind consumed by the weight of the situation. She marched straight into the CEO's office, not bothering to exchange pleasantries or even acknowledge his presence.

Minutes ticked by in silence, tension filling the room. Finally, unable to bear the silence any longer, Lisa spoke up, her words laced with frustration. "Just give me the damn papers so I can sign them. I have other important things to attend to."

He seemed unfazed, engrossed in his laptop. Lisa's frustration grew, and she made a move to leave when his voice cut through the air. He spoke with pride, threatening to cancel the deal if she walked out.

Lisa felt a wave of shame wash over her. She couldn't let her father's actions define her. Gathering her courage, she turned to face Him, her voice filled with determination. "Listen here, Mr George, or whatever your name is, give me those papers now. I have other things to take care of!"

At that moment, Lisa realized that she had to stand up for herself and prove her worth. She wouldn't let anyone belittle her or make her feel ashamed. With her head held high, she awaited his response, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.

"Give me the papers!" she yelled again, frustration evident in her voice.

"The papers? Which papers?" he replied calmly, feigning innocence.

"The ones you used to blackmail my dad. Just give them to me, let me sign, and leave," she pleaded, her voice trembling with emotion.

"Your dad didn't act like this yesterday. He begged for them. So, why don't you beg too?" he said, smirking.

"Unbelievable!" she exclaimed, tears welling up in her eyes.

"Miss Lisa, you're wasting my time. Beg me to marry you," he said, a smug smile on his face.

"Look, you have no idea how much I despise you. Stop pushing it. Give me the papers, let me sign, and let me get out of here. I feel suffocated," she said, her voice filled with a mixture of anger and sadness.

"Really? You hate me? But you came here asking for my hand in marriage. What kind of hatred is that?" he taunted.

"I'm not asking for your hand in marriage. I'm here because I want to make my father happy. Otherwise, I wouldn't even know someone like you exists," she yelled, her frustration boiling over.

"Then beg! You have only one minute to do whatever brought you here and leave my office. My breath is seizing because of your body odor," he sneered.

Mr. George, please give me the papers let me sign.” She said crying.“Repeat yourself, I didn't hear you.” He demanded that she repeat her request, relishing in the power he held over her. Despite her tears and vulnerability, Lisa mustered up the courage to ask once again for the papers.

He continued to play his mind games, asking if he should help her. Lisa, desperate to obtain the papers, replied with a shaky "Yes, sir." “Finally relenting,” He said and handed her the papers, commanding her to sign them and leave.

As She reached out to take the papers, His actions took an unexpected turn. He forcefully grabbed her hand, causing her to stumble and fall into his arms. Lisa struggled to break free from his grasp, but he held her tightly. At that moment, He revealed a box containing an exquisite diamond ring. Without her consent, he slipped it onto her finger and kissed her aggressively.

“The moment you attempt to remove this ring, then consider the deal canceled! I’m sending my chauffeur to get you tomorrow, Get lost!”

“I hate you with passion!” she screamed and stormed out of the office.
