Lisa’s POV

The city was alive with the sounds of honking cars and the chatter of pedestrians. Lisa walked briskly, her determination evident in each step. As She made her way through the busy streets, Lisa noticed a park nearby. The lush greenery and the sound of children's laughter caught her attention. She decided to take a moment to clear her mind and gather her thoughts after what just transpired between her and George today.

Walking into the park, Lisa found a peaceful spot under a towering oak tree. She sat down on a bench, surrounded by the gentle rustling of leaves. She closed her eyes, allowing himself to be enveloped by the tranquility of the park. She took a deep breath, inhaling the scent of nature, and exhaled slowly, releasing the anger that had built up inside her.

With a renewed sense of calm, Lisa stood up from the bench, her determination grew stronger and she vowed to fight for her own happiness, with that she left the park and headed home.

THE NEXT DAY

Lisa woke up feeling a little better than yesterday, but being an only child made her life quite lonely. She often found herself longing for companionship and wishing she had friends to share her days with.

As she heard her father calling her name, Lisa made her way downstairs to meet him. The conversation took an unexpected turn when her father mentioned that her "husband" had sent a chauffeur to pick her up.

Frustrated and determined, Lisa firmly declared, "He is not my husband, and I'm not going anywhere!" She pleaded with her father, explaining that she had agreed to the marriage solely to make him happy and begged him not to force her to move in with someone she didn't love.

He paused, realizing the gravity of the situation. "Lisa, you know there's no way you can be married to him and still leave here, right?" he said, trying to reason with her.

Lisa, feeling trapped and torn, responded, "But Dad, it's just a contract marriage."

In a moment of desperation, he made a difficult decision. "Okay, Lisa, don't move in with him. I'll tell him to cancel the deal, even if it means I might end up in jail for not being able to pay the bank loans."

Feeling a mix of emotions, Lisa finally relented. "Okay, fine, Dad. I'll move in with him. It's obvious you don't love me. All you care about is your company," she said, storming out of the living room.

As she found herself alone, tears streaming down her face, Lisa whispered to herself, "I wish Mom was alive. She wouldn't have allowed all this to happen."

Lisa faced her father and made a bold declaration, "I'm leaving, Dad. I hope you realize what a huge mistake you made by marrying your daughter off to a monster." Without waiting for his reply, she stormed out of the house, determined to escape the situation.

Outside, she met the chauffeur who was staring at her. Frustrated and overwhelmed, she snapped at him, "Get out of the way, you idiot!" The chauffeur apologized and opened the door for her.

As they arrived at the mansion, Lisa was taken aback by its sheer size. "So this is where I'll be staying now, with that jerk," she muttered to herself, feeling a mix of disbelief and anger.

Following the chauffeur's guidance, Lisa entered the house and found herself in a grand living room. She couldn't help but admire the beautiful interiors, mesmerized by its elegance.

Suddenly, a voice interrupted her thoughts, "Welcome, gold digger," he said with an evil smile. Lisa was startled, realizing there was someone else in the house. She felt embarrassed and ashamed that he had caught her admiring the living room.

Mocking her, he continued, "I bet you've never seen a living room this huge and luxurious in your entire life. You probably looked like the villager you are."

Feeling defeated, Lisa went silent. He led her to her room, glaring at her with hatred and disgust.

Once alone in her room, Lisa sat down, too tired to even cry. Frustrated and full of questions, she whispered to herself, "Why, Dad? Why would you make me move in with this monster? I know he's going to make my life a living hell."

She entered the bathroom to take a shower, amazed by its spaciousness. It was like a dream come true for her to live in such a magnificent mansion, although she wished it wasn't with someone like George.

After taking a refreshing shower, she changed into her cozy pajamas and tied her hair in a bun. Feeling thirsty, she decided to go get some water.

Suddenly, she heard George's voice, realizing he was still in the house. His words were hurtful, calling her names she didn't deserve. She was taken aback by his accusations of seduction, He picked her up, and she kept screaming and trying to get out of his hold but she couldn’t,

“Put me down this minute, George! She yelled hitting hard on his chest. George ignored her and took her to his room, he handcuffed her to his bed, He started kissing her aggressively, his left hand threaded in her hair licking her from her face to her nipples, he played with her boobs very roughly and then he went down to her navel...

“What were you thinking, you little slut! That I was going to have sex with a dirty gold digger like you? Never! Listen to me.”He said dragging her hair.“Do not expect me to treat you as my wife just because we are in a contract marriage, don’t expect anything from me because your expectations won’t be met, we will just live under one roof but as strangers we are. You are not my wife! you are the person I bought with my money and I’m your boss, so you will do as I say! Do you understand?!”He said furiously

Finally, she managed to break free from his grip and rushed out of the room, She felt crushed by his heartless words, tears streaming down her face. She questioned whether this was the life her father had intended for her, wondering if she had to endure such pain and mistreatment.

In her room, she locked the door and cried herself to sleep, feeling the weight of her emotions overwhelming her.

Lisa woke up the next day feeling happy and refreshed. She decided to treat herself to some ice cream because she was feeling a bit bored. As she was getting ready to leave, she heard his voice." Who gave you permission to go out, you little slut?" he asked, his tone filled with anger.

She didn't let his words affect her

"Well, I don't give a damn about where you are going, just don't drag my good name to mud, because you are my wife, Don’t embarrass me!”He said

Before she could walk away, he spoke again, this time mentioning her job. "I hope you know that working as my secretary is part of our contract. You'll start tomorrow."

She yelled back at him, "I'm not quitting my job to work for a jerk like you!"

He walked away without saying another word, leaving her standing there feeling shocked and dumbfounded. She blamed herself for not carefully reading the contract before signing it. Now she would have to face the consequences of her actions.

She grabbed her phone and dialed her dad's number, knowing he went through the contract before signing it.

"Hello, dear," her dad greeted her when he answered the call.

"Why, Dad? Why didn't you tell me about this?" she asked, her voice filled with frustration.

"What's wrong, Lisa?" her dad asked, his tone gentle."Dad, you knew that working for him was part of the contract, but you never mentioned it to me," she said, feeling betrayed.

"I thought you had read the contract thoroughly before signing, Lisa," her dad replied.

"I feel trapped, Dad. I can't bear the thought of working for him. He makes my life unbearable at home. And what about my job? Should I give up something I love just to work for him?" she cried.

Her dad's voice softened. "Lisa, I know you're angry with me, and I haven't been the best father. I've caused you so much pain. But you're my only child, and I have no one else to turn to. I understand if you don't want to do this."She asked him, "Will it make you happy if I work for him?"

"Yes, Lisa, it would make me happy. But I also want your happiness," her dad replied softly.

With a heavy heart, she whispered, "It's okay, Dad. I'll work for him."

"Thank you so much, Lisa. I appreciate you sacrificing your happiness for mine. I love you so much," her dad said gratefully.

"I love you more, Dad. Goodbye," she ended the call, feeling the weight of the misery that awaited her.

The next morning, She woke up feeling refreshed and surprisingly excited for the day ahead. As she went through her morning routine, thoughts about her life and recent events swirled in her mind.

She carefully chose her outfit, opting for a classy and elegant knee-length dress that matched her bag and shoes. With her long hair neatly styled, she headed out the door. The chauffeur was waiting for her, and she took a deep breath, mentally preparing herself for the day ahead, as she got into the car.

Arriving at work, she said a silent prayer in her head and made her way towards the elevator. Just then, George's P.A. greeted her, saying,

"There you are, Mrs. George! Welcome. Let me show you to your office."

The office was spacious and exude luxury, but Lisa had other concerns on her mind. The P.A. handed her some files, instructing her to take them to the CEO for his signature.

With a mix of nerves and determination, Lisa approached his office. It took her over 20 minutes to gather the courage to knock on the door. Finally, she heard his voice from inside, saying, "Yes, come in."

Her heart raced, and her hands trembled as she placed them on the doorknob, preparing to open the door.
