Chapter 1

Author: San Daria
I’m the real, long-lost daughter of the Yue family—a powerful Mafia crime family in the Italian Quarter. But Sophia Young, the fake princess they’ve raised for years, found out the truth.

Terrified I’d take back everything she’d stolen, she posted a bounty in a private group chat for the top young Mafia heirs in the city:

Whoever can get photos of her entering illegal businesses, catch her in shady deals, or dig up dirt to ruin her reputation… I’ll marry you.

But by the time the Yue family tracked me down, she hadn’t gotten a single real piece of evidence.

Furious, she spammed the chat, demanding to know why no one had delivered.

I stared at the messages and sighed.

Sophia was still so naïve.

Why would those men send dirt on me to a group chat?

Most of them were already wrapped around my finger… or trapped by my evidence.

The first one who came after me was Javier Torres.

He was the rising star of the Torres crime family—aggressive, ambitious, and eager to climb.

Javier chased me hard.

Good morning texts, flowers every day, gifts, dinner dates, picking me up from work. He acted sweet, sincere, and desperate for my love.

If I hadn’t already seen his messages in the group, I might’ve believed him.

One night, he finally confessed.

I didn’t say no. I just looked at him calmly.

“You sure you want to be with me?”

Javier smiled innocently.

“Of course, Mia. I mean it.”

His soft, puppy‑like eyes looked harmless.

But I knew what he typed right after he left me:

She’s hooked.

Wait till I get the goods. You’ll see how easy she was.

Only Sophia replied excitedly in the chat:

“Javier, you’re the best!”

Everyone else went unnervingly quiet.

I looked at the screenshots and smiled.

That night, Javier asked me to a private club, saying he had a surprise.

I invited him to my place instead.

“Too many people at the club. Let’s talk at my house.”

Javier’s eyes lit up—he thought he’d won.

He bragged in the chat:

She invited ME to her place. Evidence will be easy.

Catch her with secret files or a safe, and her reputation is done.

I didn’t confront him.

When we got inside, I kept the main lights off—only soft hall lights glowed.

The apartment was dead quiet.

Javier looked around, already angles for hidden cameras.

I handed him a glass of water and casually asked:

“What’d you bring with you tonight?”

He froze.

“…What?”

I sat across from him on the sofa, voice low and calm.

“Audio recorder? Mini camera? GPS tracker?”

Javier’s smile shattered.

I flicked my wrist.

Hidden panels all over the living room opened—surveillance cameras blinked red.

My men stepped out from the study and side room, surrounding him.

His face drained of color. He reached for his phone.

I smiled and reminded him:

“Don’t bother. I’ve recorded everything since you walked in.”

“Including you trying to hide that camera in my bookshelf.”

I took his jacket, pulled out a button camera, then a tiny voice recorder from his sleeve.

“Mr. Torres… you really go all out for a girl.”

He panicked.

“Mia, let me explain—I didn’t—”

I cut him off.

“Didn’t come to set me up?”

I turned my phone toward him.

The screen showed every one of his messages in the bounty chat.

Javier went completely silent.

I leaned back on the sofa, calm and cold.

“I’ll give you two choices.”

“One: I send all this to your father. He’ll learn you almost dragged the entire Torres family into the Yue’s mess… for Sophia.”

“Two: You tell me who else Sophia hired.”

Javier stared at me, swallowing hard.

He finally realized he wasn’t the hunter.

From the moment he stepped into my house…

He was the prey.

Before Javier could speak, a muffled thud came from the walk‑in closet. He snapped his head toward it, looking even more terrified.“Someone’s in there?!”I sighed.“Looks like more than one person decided to disobey tonight.”I told my men to hold Javier, then walked to the closet.I opened the door.A young man was pinned against the wall by my bodyguard, his face twisted with anger and embarrassment. It was Noah Carter. The youngest son of the underboss of the largest Mafia family in the Italian Quarter. He’d been an intern at my company.Back then, he wore cheap hoodies and jeans, pretending to be quiet and harmless.
