Chapter 41
I arrived at the training field just before four am. Alistair had been called away by Lucas to vet a new batch of refugees for intake. With the previous night’s attempt on his life, the Alpha wanted to ensure the wolves he accepted into the pack were really defectors, so I was on my own for the first day of training with the five pack warriors. Lucas Zane had gotten word to the entire pack that training had been mandated within an hour. I was surprised to find that after two days of running signups, Selene and Alistair had just under eight hundred wolves organized into training times. By the third day after the announcement, training had started. I made my way to the field, having cleared my schedule for the day to help with the influx of new wolves. Alistair had informed me that the first day, he and Selene would be organizing each training group into their own subgroups based on the attention they needed to bring them up to par.
