Chapter 4: You're Gorgeous

Lizelle’s Point of View

*Ding dong*

I wiped the sweat from my forehead when the doorbell rang again. I cleaned the room because Tyron bought me the successive influx of things. I wandered my eyes around. The utensils in my condominium are complete. I also have a closet, plates, and other cooking utensils. He also sent me a refrigerator. It’s a good thing the condominium is enormous.

When I opened the door, I saw the men wearing orange uniforms as they brought the items once more. I lifted my one brow and peered behind me; nothing was no longer missing in this room, so why were they back? The first man in orange bowed before he gave me a piece of paper to sign again.

“Good evening, Miss Luna. Sorry about coming late. We went in the evening because Mr. Tyron requested it late. Just sign this so we may enter and set the sofa to where you want it.” He had already given me the paper and the pen and I read what was written first.

Luna?

The reason for writing is to inform you of the receiving (Classic sofa Cabriole). It is to notify you that I acknowledge the receiving of goods from your company. The number and quality of (Cabriole) have been checked. The slip and invoice also have been studied.

Luna Clemonte.

With a shocked expression, I looked at the man as if I’m expecting an explanation from him. Why is the last name different here?

“Is there something wrong, ma’am?”

“Are you certain they were sent by Tyron?”

The man pulled a piece of paper from his back pocket, opened it, and handed it to me. Some names have been examined, and Tyron’s name is the final one. I even read it all through to be sure it was right.

“Does the item have an issue?”

I shook my head, signed the paper, and allowed them to leave.

After they left, I quickly searched for my phone in the room and initialized the only number saved in the contacts. In just one ring, Tyron answered.

“Have you gotten the products I shipped to you?” He asked, but I instantly removed the phone from my ear due to the loud music playing in the background.

Is he in the bar?

When I didn’t respond, the sounds in his background faded gradually.

"Sorry 'bout that? What's the matter?"

Last night, I thought he was going to do something to me. I couldn't move at his last words because I'd never been touched by any man or kissed, so I was scared when he ordered me to kiss him.

I must have been lucky because he seemed to see that I wasn't ready.

I heard a few sounds in the background, such as people chatting, but they immediately disappeared. Perhaps it's only people passing by.

I know that sooner or later, I will have to do what he wants because our conversation about my revenge may be void if I don't obey him.

"Hey, what's wrong?"

I snapped back at myself as I heard his cold voice again. I cleared my throat first then, I replied. “About my name. When did my name change? And there’s nothing in our discussion that I’ll change my name?”

There is a bit of a pang in my heart because I couldn’t imagine that I would change my last name. I carried it for many years, and that’s all I have to maintain my pride as Smith.

“You said you wanted revenge.”

“But we didn’t discuss that I would change my name.”

“You agreed for me to plan everything. You can’t take revenge when you carry all your pasts. Don’t be delusional. I can risk my name for you, but not in a way that makes me very noticeable. How can I help you if you don’t help yourself? Be realistic, what will they say when they find out you are going into the company of the person who became a suspect in your parent’s death?” Even though his voice was serious, he still didn’t raise his tone. He sighed as if irritated by what I said, but I thought of the suspect he said. I didn’t know there was a suspect in my parent’s death.

“What do you mean? No one said there was a suspect in my parent’s death.”

“I’ll explain everything to you next week. Also, because of what happened at the auction, all your photos are scattered. Now, it’s up to you how to handle that. You won’t progress and can take revenge if you remain the way you look.” As he spoke, I heard the car door open and close.

He started his car before he continued. “It’s either you’re not going to take revenge or you’re going to change your physical features. Not entirely, just enough so you don’t recognize. That’s our first plan; not anyone recognizes you.”

I remained silent because I didn't know what to say or how to react. I had not considered the ideas this man recommended. I figured I'd take my revenge, and that's it. It didn't cross my mind that he had so many plans. I couldn't picture myself changing my looks or last name.

"What will I do?" My hands shook with emotion. My heart pounded many times. What if I look like someone else? What if, at first, it seemed perfect, but in the end, my face would be ruined? When I was young, they wanted the beauty I had: long black hair, blue eyes, sharp nose, and kissable lips.

"Ahm...I don't intend to brag, but everything is already perfect on my face."

“I couldn’t agree more.”

Because of what he said, the heat quickly enveloped my face. My throat felt dry, but I couldn't believe what I told him next.

"Then... I'm beautiful?"

I thought he would agree, but I pout to his answer.

"Nonsense."

“Tss! What do you plan to do to my face then? If I became MORE ugly, I’ll kill you.”

“Don’t worry, I know plastic surgeons; they’re all experts, and if something goes wrong with your body or face, they’ll be to blame.” He was deafeningly quiet when he finished speaking. My heart eventually slowed down when he said that. The anxiety has vanished.

“Ok.”

I was about to end the call when I suddenly stopped because of his following words, which became why I felt like I was going to pass because my heart was thumping so hard.

"You're gorgeous. Beautiful is too common. Gorgeous is way better to describe you because you're stunning and captivating."
