"Damien, move forward. Make sure no one lays a finger on Amanda," I snapped. "Yes, for sure," Damien replied. "Oh, Amanda is coming out!" Damien sounded shocked. I was taken aback and confused for a second.

If this was true, how did Amanda survive that? There were at least six guards in the room, all going to ensure that Amanda couldn't leave. Victoria as well. So, how did she do it?

"She's coming towards the staircase. I better hang up now," Damien said, relief flooding his tone. My heart, which was beating so fast, suddenly slowed down considerably. By some miracle, Amanda was safe. I sighed in relief. How did that happen? It was a miracle, sent from heaven. Never had I ever been more grateful.
