49. The Chase

Zayn caught up with Alpha Allegra just as she crossed the street.

She said to him, "I'm losing sight of him, you're the one with the ability"

The running cop was moving into the street and mixing himself with the crowds ahead to confuse them.

Zayn asked with a funny look, "Will you follow my lead now?"

She grits her teeth and responded almost immediately, "Just watch your speed, there are humans around"

The intruder was running fast and they needed to be faster so they can catch up with him but a quick movement could raise suspicion and questions from humans.

Moreover, there were cameras in the area and Alpha Allegra knew this.

He beckoned at her, "Come, we have to make him believe we lost him"

They changed direction at an intersection and continued moving without stopping.

She trusted his plan but couldn't help but ask, "How is this going to work?"
