Rylan laughed when he lifted his eyes and looked at me. "You may think you've won, Mary, but you will never be the female Alpha. The only thing that's keeping you standing is your marriage to Alpha Leo. But once he returns, you and your brother will be banished from this place."

"Where's my son?"

"Your son?" he chuckled. "The one you used as your pawn to get Leo into marriage with you? That's funny, because for a second, I didn't even think you qualified to be called a mother."

"Where is he, Rylan?" I leaned closer, asking with gritted teeth. I hated how he was testing what I would do to him.

He knew exactly where Brian was, but he wanted to play a mind game with me so I'd keep him alive, but he was wrong.

"Your son is safe away from you," he seethed. "You ruined everything when you came here, Mary. Luna Catherine was the rightful Luna before you framed her and chased her out. She's the one who deserves to be called Brian's mother."
