Killian and his father, Benard, were dragged down the narrow steps by four strong warriors.

Silver chains bound their wrists, burning their skin with every movement. Killian’s broken leg dragged behind him, the wound from Leo’s bite still raw and slow to heal because of the silver.

The warriors shoved them into separate cells. The iron doors slammed shut with a heavy clang that echoed through the halls.

Killian pushed himself up from the damp floor and gripped the bars. “Let us out!” he shouted. “This is my pack! I am the Alpha!”

Benard, in the next cell, rattled his chains. “We demand to speak to the elders! You have no right to hold us like this!”

The guard outside said nothing. He walked away. Soon, three elders appeared; Elder Mara, Elder Tomas, and Elder Grace.

They stood in the dim light, their faces stern.

Elder Mara spoke first. “You asked to speak. Speak now.”

Killian stepped as close to the bars as the chains allowed. “Release us. Catherine is gone. She left with Leo Thor

•CATHERINE•When we arrived in Eclipseborn, Leo parked the car outside the pack house driveway and turned to me. "I know you love Viktor, but I love you, Catherine. I never stopped loving you," he said. "You should know that I would do everything within my power to get you back. To get our family back." I rolled my eyes and scoffed. "What family would we have after everything you had done to me? Yes, you saved me from Killian, but I don't need you in my life, Leo. Viktor is the man for me, and I will marry him. You will return home and stay out of our lives." I was about to head out when he grabbed my wrist and held me back. "There are things you should know about Viktor. He's not as perfect as you believe him to be." Oh, moon. I knew Leo would say something trying to ruin what I had with Viktor. He didn't want to accept that what we had was over and in the past. I tolerated him because of the mate bond we shared, but once I had cleared things up with Viktor, all the confusion in

•AISHA•When I got to the pack house after Catherine left with Leo, I found my boys already waiting in the living room. They looked at me with concern in their eyes, as if they had seen or heard something about me. But I didn't want to explain anything to them about what happened. "Mama, are you okay?" Omari asked as I took their hands and went to their rooms with them to pack their clothes. "I'm okay, baby," I answered him as we walked inside their room. "But we are going home today, so I want you to pack all your clothes. We are leaving in 30 minutes." "Why, Mama?" Cassius asked. His voice broke a little. "What happened? Omari and I want to stay here. This is our home."I felt a sharp pain in my chest. "Home is wherever your father and I are," I told him. I tried to sound calm, but my hands shook as I opened their closet doors. "Now help me pack. We need to move fast."Omari started folding his shirts and putting them in his bag without asking more questions. He was quiet and ob

•CATHERINE•Aisha knelt on the ground in front of me, tears streaming down her face. Her hands shook as she reached out, but she didn’t dare touch me. The courtyard was quiet now, except for the soft murmurs of the pack and the distant sound of Killian and Uncle Benard being dragged away in chains.“Catherine,” she whispered, her voice breaking. “Please forgive me. I was wrong, and I was afraid. Killian promised me things. He said he would protect me if I helped him. And I thought if you were gone, everything would be better. But I was stupid. I betrayed you and brought you here to die. Please give me another chance to prove myself worthy of being your sister." I looked down at her. My heart felt heavy. I trusted her and believed she had changed. Even though I didn't want to see Uncle Benard again, I agreed to come with her because I thought we would fix things. I thought I would have my elder sister back, and things would be like they were before the pack run, when she loved me.

•LEO•I stared at Viktor, my hand still on the door handle. His face was serious. "What do you mean, you know what the lycans are planning?" I asked, my voice low.Viktor glanced at his phone before he looked up at me. "I just got off the phone with Gurry, the guy we were waiting for to get back from the north. He has told me everything the lycans are planning to do." "What are they planning?" My heart raced, thinking about Catherine, who was still missing. Viktor took a breath. "The lycans are done waiting. They see Catherine as a threat to their control. So, Gurry said they're planning to send a message to all the packs soon. An ultimatum."My stomach tightened. "What kind of ultimatum?""To turn in Catherine, or be attacked one by one. l They'll start with the weaker packs and then move to bigger ones. They want her alive, to use her or break her. If packs refuse, they'll burn them down."My heart raced. I knew how hard it was for Viktor to tell me this news. He knew he wouldn't

•CATHERINE•Chaos erupted in an instant. Leo's massive black wolf form charged through the shattered gates, and his red eyes glowed with fury, muscles rippling under his dark fur. The pack members scattered, gasping in shock. Some screamed, others froze in place. Killian's guards rushed forward, shifting into their wolves mid-stride, but Leo was faster, stronger. He leaped onto the first guard, jaws clamping down on its neck with a sickening crunch. The wolf yelped and went limp. Another guard tried to flank him, but Leo spun, his claws raking deep gashes across its side. Blood sprayed across the courtyard stones. The air filled with growls and snarls.Killian shifted too, his body twisting into a large gray wolf with scarred fur. He bared his teeth, ears flat against his head. "You dare invade my pack?" he snarled through the mind link, but Leo didn't bother replying. He barreled straight at Killian, their bodies colliding like thunder.I watched from the pole, my body weak but
