Chapter 16: Faery Magic

"Daniel?!" I exclaimed his name and looked up at my brother-in-law, towering over me.

"Nesta? What are you doing here?" He asked, frowning down at me.

"Is Lou with you?" I asked, my eyes moving around him, searching for my sister.

"No, she's not with me. But what the hell are you doing here?" He asked again. My face fell as I heard his answer; she was not with him.

"Just some friends of mine." I replied, waving away his question. "How's Louisa? Why didn't she come with you?" I asked, changing the subject.
