Regina

Will Sam be angry with me? I may have disturbed his meeting.

Damn Regina, sometimes you can’t control yourself once you start talking.’ Shit, I hope my words didn’t make things hard for Sam.

But then again, who was that guy sitting on Sam’s chair, even though I, being his sister, never once sat on it but was sitting on it as if he owned it? And why was Sam so nervous and stressed in front of him? I have never seen Sam so stressed in front of anyone; he is the Alpha, and everyone respects him, but that doesn't give a damn about Sam being an Alpha, as he is somehow bigger and more powerful than Sam the Alpha himself.

I shook my head. ‘Why do I care? Who is he?'

Right now, I am so angry at myself; all plans for today got ruined because Peter ditched me by changing our plans at the last minute. I was so happy to finally spend some alone time with him, but he had something important to do. What is so important that he has broken his promise?

"I hate when people break their promises," I mumbled, poking my knife violently into the potato.

"What has this poor potato done to be killed so ruthlessly?" I turned my head toward the owner of the voice.

"I’m sorry, I was just a little angry," I said with a long sigh, pulling the knife out of the potato.

"Why... what happened?" He questioned me, standing close to me.

I shook my head. "Nothing much is important. Is the meeting over?" I asked.

He nodded with a smile.

"Where is Sam, then? Why is he not with you?" I question not seeing Sam anywhere near us.

"He is busy finishing some work," he said, turning his head and looking in the direction of Sam’s office. "So, what are you making?"

"Oh, these..." I said, staring at the potatoes on the countertop. "Sam cooked the chicken, so I thought of making some mashed potatoes; it goes well with roasted chicken."

"Good idea; want me to help?" he said, his eyes staring. His eyes I have seen before, but I can’t remember where exactly.

"You want to help me, but I don’t even know your name," I replied, turning my head and focusing on the potatoes.

"My name...?" he asked.

"Yes, your name; why don't you have one, or do you have some weird name?" I joked.

"Weird name," he asked again.

"You know, once I read in an article that a person named his child spaghetti. I mean, who names his or her child spaghetti?" He smiled at the words. "I never wanted my child to have a weird name like this."

"Then what do you name our child?"

"Our..." I questioned, turning my head to him.

"I meant your..." he corrected.

I nodded my head. "Something beautiful, something that suits his or her personality," I said, smiling at the thought of my future partners. "What do you want to name your children?" I questioned him, looking at him.

"I don’t know... I will let my mate decide the name of our children," he replied, his eyes staring at mine.

"Good, because women pick the best name for their children," I said, pointing my finger at me. "Take my name, for example. My name is Regina. And do you know the meaning of my name?"

He shook his head at my words.

"Regina means Queen," I said proudly.

"You are a queen," he agrees.

"What is your name?" I asked again.

He smiled and looked at me. "Richard…,"

"Richard..." I mumbled. "The King…,

Richard

"So, I have heard so much about..." I said, strolling around Sam's office space.

"What have you heard about?" Sam asks with his eyes focused on mine.

"Not bad," I replied, noticing the change in Sam’s behavior. "You run one of the biggest packs in the country." Sam nodded at my words. "And you are taking care of all your pack since when you were the previous Alpha, your death."

Sam nodded again. "I have also heard you were very young at that age." I continued, looking around at the things in his office. "If I’m right, you were eighteen."

“Yes, alpha, but why are we talking about it now?" Sam questioned.

I must praise him for his courage in interrupting me in between; even the most furious and well-known alphas are afraid to do so, and I am impressed that he is not one of them.

"Well, I'm impressed with your capability for handling a pack so big all alone," I said, praising him for his capability as an Alpha. "But how many members are there in your pack?"

Sam looked surprised by the question, pausing before replying to it. "I don’t know exactly, but we have more than 100,000 people in total."

Finally…. "Sam, I want you to provide me with all the details of your pack by the time I leave," I said, trying to hide my smile, seeing Sam all shocked by my words. "You do keep the details of every pack member." Sam nodded at the words. "Good then, just make a list of them all and submit it to me."

"But why……"

"I will tell you later," I replied, leaving him in the office alone. Remember, I need it within a few hours," I said, reminding him again before leaving.

I sighed happily as I walked towards the kitchen. ‘Finally, I can have some time alone with my mate.'

As Sam is busy doing the random sh*t I asked him to do, I can have some time to get to know my mate all alone, without anyone interrupting.

"I hate when people break their promises." I heard Regina mumble as she violently poked the potato with her knife.

I can’t help but smile at her actions. "What has this poor potato done to be killed so ruthlessly?"

"I’m sorry, I was just a little angry," she replied with a long sigh, pulling the knife out of the potato.

"Why….what happened?" I asked, closing the distance between us.

Regina shook her head. "Nothing much is important. The meeting is over."

I nodded with a smile. The meeting is over, but Sam will be busy for a while.

"Where is Sam then? Why is he not with you?" she questioned, her eyes searching for her brother.

"He is busy finishing so much," I said, turning my head and looking in the direction of Sam’s office. ‘And he will be for a while.’ Sam has to work hard so I can have so much alone time with you.

"So what are you making?" I tried changing the topic; enough talking of Sam.

Oh, these..." Regina said, staring at the potatoes on the countertop. "Sam cooked the chicken, so I thought of making some mashed potatoes; it goes well with roasted chicken."

"Good idea; want me to help?" I said, even though I have no idea what to do.

"You want to help me, but I don’t even know your name."

"My name is..." I smiled.

"Yes, your name; why don't you have one, or do you have some weird name?" She joked, making me smile. Regina has no idea who is joking around, but I’m happy she doesn’t know my identity, or things might be different now.

"Weird name," I asked, wanting her to continue.

"You know, once I read in an article that a person named his child spaghetti. I mean, who names his or her child spaghetti?" I smiled at her words. "I never wanted my child to have a weird name like this."

Child, she is thinking about children, which is good because I want to create many children who look like me and Regina. "Then what do you name our child?"

"Our..." She questioned him, turning her head to him.

"I meant your..." I corrected. I don’t want to speak about our bond with her now. I will wait until she finds her wolf. I want Regina to have the same sensation—the same throbbing in her heart—similar to what I sensed when my eyes landed on her beautiful face.

"Something beautiful, something that suits his or her personality," she continued, smiling at the thought of our future pubs. "What do you want to name your children?" She looked at me, hoping for an answer.

"I don’t know... I will let my mate decide the name of our children." Yes, you'll be choosing the name of our future pubs.

"Good, because women pick the best name for their children," Regina said, pointing her finger at her. "Take my name, for example. My name is Regina. And do you know the meaning of my name?"

I shook his head at my words, smiling.

"Regina means Queen," she said proudly.

"You are a queen." The queen of my heart is the queen of all the wolves around us.

"What is your name?" She asked again.

I smiled and looked at her. "Richard…,"

"Richard...." I mumbled. "The King..." The king of all wolves, a Lycan who has the power to destroy anything that comes in my way, and you, Regina, my queen. One day, you’ll realize it yourself.
