Reuben stood at the door, still filled with rage as he stared at Julie’s dead body like he would slice it into pieces. He had returned to the building only to hear from one of his men that Julie had gone to Emily’s room with Evelyn. He had rushed up with speed because he knew Julie might harm Emily—only to see her almost stabbing Emily with a knife.

His soul almost left his body that instant, and he had shot her with his gun. He felt no regret for killing her; instead, more rage burned inside him. He had warned her never to touch Emily.
