Chapter 1

It was a little past one in the morning.

Victoria Larsen was fast asleep when a work message from a client jolted her awake.

After reading through the client's pile of unreasonable demands, she was too irritated to fall back asleep, so she got up to use the bathroom.

The house was old and the walls were thin. Not wanting to wake anyone, she eased her door open carefully.

However, as she passed her younger sister Kelsey Larsen's room, she heard sounds from inside that made her face burn. Her sister was moaning a name Victoria knew all too well.

"Levi, be gentle..."

Levi Hawke's low, ragged breathing followed. "Kels, not so loud. Your sister's going to hear..."

The girl's voice was soft and breathless, coming in broken gasps. "Let her hear. Levi, you're mine..."

In that moment, Victoria felt the blood in her veins turn to ice.

She never would have imagined it. Her mature, steady, thoughtful boyfriend had hooked up with her own sister!

Kelsey had been spoiled rotten by the family since childhood, but Victoria, as the eldest, had always been fairly tolerant of her.

It wasn't as if she'd never noticed how Kelsey clung to Levi far more than was appropriate.

She'd even quietly warned Levi to keep some distance from her sister.

But Levi had told her she was making a big deal out of nothing.

"Vicky, what are you thinking?" he'd said earnestly. "Kels is just a kid. I only dote on her like a little sister. After all, your sister is my sister..."

When he'd put it that way, Victoria had seriously wondered whether she was being petty.

How could she be jealous because her boyfriend was too nice to her family?

Now it turned out a woman's sixth sense was spot-on after all.

Listening to the obscene noises coming from inside, Victoria kicked the door open.

With the click of the light switch, the room flooded with light, revealing two naked bodies tangled together on the bed.

The sight was so vile it made her eyes sting.

Victoria didn't scream or lose control. She simply let out a cold laugh and clapped slowly.

"A scumbag and a tramp. You two really are a match made in heaven!"

"Ah!" Kelsey shrieked and yanked the blanket up to cover herself, then pouted indignantly. "Vicky, how could you just barge in without knocking?"

The house was old and shabby, and her door didn't even lock properly. One kick was all it took.

Seeing Kelsey play the victim first, Victoria was so angry she laughed. "Sorry. You two were so loud you woke me up.

"Oh, stop pretending. Weren't you screaming that loudly precisely so I'd get up and come watch?"

Kelsey's eyes darted away for a second, and then a shy look came over her face. "Vicky, you don't understand. It's not something you can control. Levi is just too good..."

She really had been loud on purpose tonight, hoping to wake her sister.

She didn't want to be the secret other woman anymore.

She wanted to take back the man who belonged to her.

Levi frantically turned and pulled on his pants, his face flushed with embarrassment.

"Vicky, I'm sorry. I, I had a bit to drink tonight, so I..."

Kelsey slipped on her nightgown and wrapped her arms around him from behind. "Levi, why are you explaining yourself to her? You like me. It's better that she knows..."

Ever since they were little, whatever Kelsey wanted, her sister had always given up to her. She was sure a man would be no exception.

Victoria was speechless.

She'd always thought Kelsey was a bit spoiled and willful, but not a bad person at heart.

She'd never expected Kelsey's values to be so warped that she could steal her sister's boyfriend and still act like she was in the right.

Levi froze, torn by an inner struggle.

He knew the time had come to choose between the two sisters.

He and Victoria had been together for two years, so of course he had feelings for her.

But Kelsey made him feel something completely different.

Kelsey normally relied on him, her future brother-in-law, for everything, and she often acted sweet and coy with him.

He loved the way the young girl depended on him and looked up to him.

Victoria, on the other hand, was extremely independent. She handled everything herself and never came to him for anything. She was overbearing and dull, and in two years together, she'd never let him touch her.

Kels, by contrast, was sweet and docile, and what she gave him in bed was so delicious he'd gotten addicted.

The two of them had kept up this illicit affair for half a year.

It wasn't until tonight that Victoria finally found out.

"Levi, say it," Kelsey urged. "Tell Vicky you love me."

Levi's gaze kept darting between the two sisters, his face full of indecision.

Victoria saw through him at a glance.

'Hah. So now he thinks he gets to pick?'

The commotion had been so loud that it woke their father, Dennis Larsen, and their mother, Rhonda Larsen.

When they got to the doorway and looked inside, the scene stunned them.

Rhonda could hardly believe her eyes. "What are you... Levi, did you walk into the wrong room?"

"Mom, Levi loves me." Kelsey's eyes went red, and she began to sob. "Levi and I are truly in love. In a three-way relationship, the one who isn't loved is the real other woman, and that's Vicky..."

Dennis demanded angrily, "Levi, what on earth is going on here?"

Facing Dennis's and Rhonda's accusing stares, Levi felt awkward. After all, he'd been dating the older sister and had lured the younger one into bed.

He could only force himself to say it. "Mr. and Mrs. Larsen, I... the one I love really is Kels. Don't worry, I'll take responsibility for her."

Victoria was speechless again.

'Hah. What a pair of star-crossed lovers. Then what am I? Just a prop in their kinky little game?'

Dennis and Rhonda had always doted on their younger daughter the most. Rhonda declared on the spot, "Vicky, you saw it yourself. Since Levi and Kelsey have feelings for each other, don't go butting in between them..."
