Chapter 9

Alissa stepped back into the main house late morning the next day. It felt different, the entrance way looked brighter, like the sun was shining through every window, basking it in a warm glow. Alissa heard voices in the sitting room. She turned away from the room, she couldn't see them. She made her way upstairs. Her foot was on the first step up to her room, “Alissa,” she heard Luca's voice, she turned to face him. “Alissa can I talk to you?”

Alissa hesitated, “I…”

“It won't take long.” He made his way down the corridor, she didn't know what to do but decided to follow the Alpha.

He led her downstairs to the other end of the house, he opened the door to the games room. Two pool tables stood next to each other to the left hand side of the room.
