The night I punched the hole in my wall I got a phone call. It was my dad. I worried for a moment, thinking something was wrong back home .. maybe with him or my brother or baby Charli. But as it turned out.. he was worried about ~me~.

My sister had called him .. probably gave him the short version of everything that had been going on….

“I’m just worried about you son. Just wanted to make sure everything was okay. If you need to talk. I’m here.” He told me.

I sighed long and hard.

“I’m okay dad.. just.. I don’t know I’m tired. Busy. All the training then my beta work and things with Collins have been difficult.” I said.

He chuckled.

“I know you look at you brother and sister and even your mother and I and think we all had it easy with our mates. Even though you know it was anything but easy for Emily.” He said.

“No I know that. But it ended up good…” I said.

“And you think it won’t end up good for you?”

“I’m just not sure dad. And I guess that’s the problem.” I answered
