Camille

“Let me go!” I scream, but he grabs me by my waist, then flips onto my back, his hand clamping over my mouth.

My eyes widen as I stare at the man straddling me. His long, raven black curls fall over his face,  dark eyes staring with a question in his eyes. He has a well-defined jawline with perfectly proportionate lips.

“You’re not a wolf,” he says in a monotone voice. I struggle against this hold as he leans in, sucking in a breath.

I whimper softly, refusing to just give in. If he plans to kill me, he had better be ready to fight me off. I bring up my knee, then kick in his groin. He grunts and then loosens his grip on me, and I let out a glass-shattering scream.

“Will you keep quiet? I’ll—” He is about to say, but police cars approach us, sirens wailing.

“Why did you do that?” He asks me, his voice calm and eyes boring into me. “Get off me!” I shout, but he leans in when the screeching sound of tires comes.

“I guess we will be spending more time together.” He says, then he gets off me. Flashing me with his very naked body, his entire body is covered in tattoos, his torso so hard like he spends his entire time in the gym, my eyes trail down to the one place I’m curious about. I stiffen. No, I can’t look there, no matter how curious I am.

“Officers...” He beams with a smile. I’m lying on the cold asphalt road, between his legs. My eyes were fixed on his face.

“Hands up!”

“Oh, yes.” He is still smiling. “I forget how you humans are so dependent on weapons.” He turns to me, smiling vividly. I hold his gaze. Does he find this amusing?

“Like what you see, spitfire?” He asks with amusement in his voice. “I can hear your heartbeat,” he whispers to me. “Get them to back off, and I might let you touch,” he freaking smiles at me, then winks. People are taking pictures of him, but he doesn’t seem bothered by it.

I roll off the ground, then stare at the officers. I back away from him, trying to keep calm.

“Is he bothering you, Miss?” The female officer asks, her gun pointing at the wolf. I swallow hard. I have never been in such a situation.

I know wolves are not allowed in our territory. I have heard what happens to wolves who dare to enter the town without the right documentation. I don’t want to be the reason he goes through that.

I glance up at him, and he doesn’t look like he could hurt me. “Umm…” I stutter. “No. He wasn’t... He...” What the heck is wrong with me? I do not stutter when I speak.

“He wasn’t. If that’s all,” I turn on my heel, ready to head to the restaurant so I can head back home. To Eloise.

“I’m sorry, Miss. But you are going to have to come with us.”

“What?” I stop in my tracks as the officer comes to bar my way.

“No. You don’t understand. I’m not pressing any charges. I just—”

“The law, sweetheart. We need your statement at the station,” the woman says. I look up at the wolf, who is being handcuffed.

No, this can’t be happening. Eloise will be home alone.

“No. Wait. I have a sick child at home. I can’t go with you,” I say, but the officer insists, gesturing towards the police SUV.

I glanced at the restaurant, then back at the car. “We had better be going. The sooner we go, the sooner you can leave,” she insists.

I scoff, shaking my head. Fucking laws. I despise this place with every fiber of my being. The very thought of knowing I live in it fills me with an overwhelming sense of frustration and sadness.

I head back to the car and get into the SUV. The man has been shoved into the sedan ahead of us. “It won’t take long.” The lady says, and I nod.

I watch as the streetlights fade, being driven away from home. It will take me an hour just to get to the restaurant. I curse whatever god we pray to.

When we arrive at the police station, they take him straight down to the holding cells with silver iron bars.

 “What’s going on? I thought—”

“You’re not pressing charges. I understand that, but he needs documentation to be in this part of the city,” she says to me, leading me to a desk.

“I will find someone to take your statement,” she says, then walks away as I scoff. She can’t be serious right now. There are only five officers at this place.

“I need to make a call,” the wolf says, his eyes locked on me. He hadn’t stopped staring at me since the moment he walked into this room.

I shift uncomfortably, looking away from him.

“Can you tell us what happened?” The officer asks, sitting down in the chair in front of me. I take in his pale skin and bored eyes. He probably doesn’t want to be here.

“Nothing. Like I said to the lady, I’m not pressing charges. He just jumped on me and—” I pause, looking at him. He’s a wolf. Could he know what’s wrong with Elosie? I inwardly ask myself. I shake my head. I can’t risk it.

“Listen, I don’t have all night. Did or did he not harass you?”

“He didn’t. Now, can I go?”

“No. We still need to take both statements,” he says lazily.

“Listen. I have a sick eight-year-old waiting for me at home. I can’t stay here the entire night,” I retort.

“I don’t care. You—”

“What did you just say?” I ask him, and he sighs heavily, sitting back. “Listen, young lady. I’m just doing my job. I will take both your statements then—”

“There will be no need for statements.” A deep husky voice comes from behind me, and I turn my head towards him.

He is dressed in a black suit, and his dark curls are combed back. His jaw tightens as I narrow my eyebrows. Leonardo Pavard. The wolf king?

“Leonardo Pavard. To what do we owe this—”

If this is the wolf king, then that’s…my eyes drift over to the man who is the reason I'm here. Holy shit. Prince Salvatore.

SalvatoreI watch her as she chats with Olivia, flinging her fingers, and Olivia laughs with Bryson. They are talking about birds.“Are you sure that was a bird?” Olivia asks, and she shrugs, bursting out laughing, and everyone who passes seems to be shocked.“You’re staring at her again,” he says, but how could I not? She is a wonder. How was she able to convince the elders of everything she said?“Can’t a man stare at a beautiful woman?” I ask, my eyes still on her, and she turns his head to me.“he can. But it gets concerning when he can’t keep his eyes off her.” He leans against the rail.I turn to him, wondering what he is trying to get at. “Your point being?”“You know this will not end well. You know it. I know it and everyone else except her,” he says, and I sigh heavily.“What did the elders think?” I try to change the subject.“Well, they think she is special. Sean couldn’t stop talking about it,” he says to me, and I nod, a smile on my face. She really is.“They want to obs

CamilleWhen I step into the room. I really wish I had eaten the breakfast Paul gave me.I curtly bow before them, and they bow their heads to me. Fuck, I wish Tore had told me I would be meeting the elders. My heart is pounding so hard, I feel so underdressed.Tore leads me to a chair away from him, and he goes to sit on the chair at the head of the table, away from me. I straighten my back, eyes on the elders.“Welcome, come, Ms. Camille,” one of the elderly men says. He has a bald head, with black markings on his forehead, and is all black, his jacket with feathers.“Thank you,” I say.I’m Elder Desmond. This is Sean, Mariah,” he goes on, introducing the people sitting in a circle, and my heart pounds so hard, I don’t remember most of their names by the time he is done.“Just wanted to make sure you understand what’s happening. I’ll let my colleague explain everything,” he says, and the woman begins telling me about how they do this process for every luna. The last one was Tore’s m

SalvatoreI can see it in her eyes; she wants this. Would she do it just to get Olivia back? She grips the vibrator so hard. Her arousal hits my nostrils as I smile. She inhales sharply, placing her bag on the floor. Her eyes are on me as she shifts in her seat, lips ajar, begging to be kissed. She looks away, towards Paul, to check if he’s looking, then back at me. She slowly lifts her dress and then parts her legs. She lifts her hips, then slowly slides the vibrator in.Fuck. She actually did it.She shifts back, sitting back, her eyes on me. I smile weakly at her, nodding my head. I knew she was a wild one. Beneath the frail and composed person, I knew she was wild. She inhales sharply, pressing her lips together. I’m tempted to turn it on, but I have better plans for it.“So… Olivia?” She asks.“Don’t worry. She’s at the pack already.”“What?” Her eyes widen, heart pounding hard, my lips curve up in a smile, checking on the updates Olivia has been sending me.“I asked her to take

Camille“Tore!” I shout, running after him, but he stops in his tracks. Someone is approaching him, but I can’t see the face.“Tore, it would be better if—“ I pause when I see Jenna standing in front of him. I pause, taking a step back. “Turi… can we talk?” She asks him. I hope he doesn’t say no, but with what he told me, I doubt he would ever say no to her.“Excuse me.” I want to excuse myself, but he grabs my hand, holding it tight. “We’re late. Can it wait?” He asks her, and she nods, giving him a weak smile. She turns to me, her eyes going straight to the necklace around my neck.“Hello Jenna,” I say, and she smiles even though the smile doesn’t reach her eyes. “Morning Camille” “Let’s go,” Salvatore says, taking my hand, leading me down the stairs. I still want to yell, but something in me stirs. Almost screaming because, for the first time, he doesn’t go off running at her call, instead, he takes me.“Oh, Camille. I’m hosting Luna’s brunch this weekend. It would be nice to hav

CamilleThe next morning, when I wake up, I find myself alone in our bed. My body aches, and between my legs, it’s something else.We made love the entire night, and when I thought we were done, he had me again early this morning, but when I woke up. He’s not in our room.“Tore?” I call, pulling off the sheets to look for him, but he’s not by the balcony of our room or bathroom. My heart races so fast as I shake my head. He wouldn’t just leave me here after making love to me. I refuse to believe it. My eyes feel heavy, and my body aches.I quickly brush my teeth, staring at myself in the mirror, thinking about how his fingers were around my throat. I should’ve been terrified. But I felt safe. And I wanted him to.I quickly finish brushing my teeth, then take a quick shower. When I come out of the bathroom, I hear sounds coming from the closet.I walk towards the closet, and there he is, picking his usual black outfit. He took off his glasses, throwing them to the floor. Then he crashed his lips onto mine, kissing me harder. I moaned in his mouth while his hand went up my t-shirt, pressing me into him. He dropped his head to my neck, nibbling on my collarbone. While his hand kneaded my ass.He gripped my ass with his hand, and in a swift move, he got on top of me, and his body pressed into me.I reached for the hem of his t-shirt and tried to pull it off him. He helps me take it off, and I reach for nine, but he grabs my hand.“I told you I would take care of you,” he growls, pulling off the shirt, exposing my hardened nipples. He groans, taking one of my breasts in his mouth while his hand kneads my ass.I threw my head back while he sucked on my breast. His other hand went to my left breast, fondling it. My core throbs, a
