Jack POV Fortunately, the tour went really well. Jenna and Adam hosted Sam, Sarah, and I in their suite for dinner this evening. It was a great suggestion to do Sarah’s first dinner at the Pack that way. First so we could avoid any additional uncomfortable conversations and second so we could relax and enjoy the company. The other three took great fun in teasing me about a variety of things that had Sarah chuckling. I hoped I would meet her family, so I could also learn more about her. Sam POV We walk down the hall toward the meeting room. Adam asks Miranda and Rick if they would like anything before we start the meeting. Neither require anything so we get situated and Miranda gets right down to business. “First, I want to say again, I adored your parents, Alpha Adam,” she says. “Please call me Adam, and this is my Beta, Sam, and thank you for the kind words about my parents. Sarah POV This stranger was hugging me, but it felt completely natural. “I cannot believe there is someone else,” the woman called Miranda says. Sam POV I feel my insides churn as I get closer to the dungeons. I can feel the tension around me as Adam, Jack and Sarah walk with me. We had agreed Sarah would come with me to the cell, but Jack was not happy with that plan. He wanted to keep her close to him. He never trusted Lana and we still did not know what she was capable of. Sam POV Just one more click and the cell will be open. I feel sweat on my brow as I fight the urge to be with Lana. She continues tempting me, “Come on sweet Sam, just one more click,” she says. Sarah POV I knew everyone was tense as we all went our separate ways. Well except for Josie who joined us as she was staying on the Gamma’s floor. Not that I minded.
