Making it through that dinner was tough. Repetitive stories about the golden days of old does not make me nostalgic for this place. I just want to get back to the stunning vision in purple whose eyes I keep catching.

Kohl was the same, nagging away to ditch this crowd and have her back in our arms. When her expression became concerned and fretful, it took every bit of self-possession to not walk away from my Alpha.
