ALEXANDER’S POV

I clenched my jaw so tightly I thought my teeth might crack.

Isabella chattered beside me in that high pitched tone of hers, completely oblivious or maybe entirely aware of how little I wanted to be there.

I'd wanted to spend the day with Eliza. Needed to, really.

After everything, after the distance that had separated us, I wanted nothing more than to wrap her in my arms and not let go.

Instead, here I was, holding shopping bags around like some glorified servant.

Yes, Isabella had insisted that we went shopping.

"Isn't this place just perfect?" Isabella gushed, clutching my arm and dragging me toward yet another boutique.

I forced a tight smile, nodding stiffly. "Yeah. It's nice."

She didn't notice the dry tone in my voice or maybe she didn't care. She clung tighter to me and her fingers curled possessively around my hand as we stepped into the store.

I tugged gently to free myself, but she held on with a little laugh as she turned toward the attendant who immediatel

ELIZA’S POVI stood quietly beside Alexander as I heard the woman’s voice. Who was it?And then, she appeared.A beautiful woman walked toward us like she belonged here. She wore a royal gown — deep purple with golden threads that caught the sunlight coming through the corridor windows. She moved so gracefully that she barely seemed real. Her hair fell in perfect, shining waves, and when she smiled, it was dazzling. She was beautiful. Stunning. Perfect, even. Like a real life princess.Who was she?"Alexander!" she called out again.Something about the way she said his name made my stomach tighten. She was moving towards him with a huge smile and said his name in a familiar tone that made me uneasy.I swallowed and turned to Alexander, "Who is she?"He glanced at me quickly, like he already knew how I was feeling. His hand found mine, giving it a reassuring squeeze."That's Princess Isabella of the Western Plains," he said calmly. "she and her brother, Prince Edmund are visiting. I’m

ELIZA’S POVFive days.It had been five days since I left behind everything. My family, my pack, my life... my safety. I hadn’t eaten, hadn’t slept. The constant throbbing of hunger and thirst disturbed me, but I ignored it, pushing myself harder with each mile until I could feel the exhaustion in every step and in every part of me.I decided to stop by at a hotel to rest. I couldn’t carry on for much longer.I barely recognized the face staring back at me in the reflection of the hotel’s entrance window. I was a thin version of myself. I was hollow-eyed and lifeless looking, as if the life had been drained from me in the pursuit of this one goal.It didn’t matter. None of it mattered. Not the hunger, not the exhaustion. All I cared about now was getting to the Blood Moon Pack and finding him.The guards at the hotel entrance saw me before I could even step forward. From their eyes widening, I could tell they recognized me immediately. I didn’t speak a word, just nodded briefly. My bo

ELIZA’S POVAfter Derek took Diana away, there was nothing but silence. Just silence—and work. So much work.I buried myself in it, moving from one meeting to another, checking reports, resolving disputes, overseeing patrol shifts, and pretending that I didn’t notice the empty space where Alexander’s presence used to be.I missed him so much. There was an ache in my chest because of it. I thought about him all the time. I never knew it was this possible to crave someone’s presence this much.It wasn’t just his physical absence—it was the void of his warmth, his voice, the way he always made me feel like I could breathe even in the middle of a storm. At first, I tried to tell myself I didn’t miss him that much.Liar, my wolf whispered smugly. My wolf felt incomplete without her mate.I wasn’t used to feeling like this. I was a strong and independent wolf. But with Alexander? I couldn’t help but be soft. That night, just past midnight, my phone buzzed softly on the nightstand.I was cur

ALEXANDER’S POVI had always hated Victory Pass. The wind here had something in it that I couldn’t explain. For some reason, it reminded me of broken promises and bloodshed.Still, as I stood tall at the gates of the Blood Moon Pack’s stronghold, dressed in my royal clothes, I forced a neutral expression and clasped my hands behind my back.Duty before personal preference. Always. What I wanted didn’t matter. As a Prince, I needed to put my wants aside. I have to take care of the needs of the district first.I stood outside, watching Prince Edmund and Princess Isabella’s convoy come forward.“Your Highness,” I said with a slight bow as Prince Edmund walked down from the car.His golden armor reflected in the sunlight and he offered a tight smile in return.“A pleasure as always, Prince Alexander,” he replied. His sister, Princess Isabella, followed close behind. Her silver-blue gown swayed like ocean waves, her sapphire eyes sparkling with curiosity as she surveyed the mountain pass.

DEREK’S POVI was halfway through pulling on my coat when the message came in—my mother, Diana, had collapsed in Eliza’s pack.Eliza.I paused. My hand tightened around the edge of the dresser. I hadn’t even known my mother was there. What the hell was she doing in Eliza’s territory? And fainted? My heart jumped.I wasn’t used to hearing words like “fainted” and “Mom” in the same sentence. She was strong. Unshakable. If something had knocked her off her feet, then it had to be serious.Or had her illness flared up?I grabbed my things, ready to leave and get her myself, when a sharp voice echoed through the pack's inner mind-link.“Alpha! There’s movement at the eastern gates—you’ll want to see this.” a guard said.I cursed under my breath. What now?Storming out of the palace, I made my way toward the gates.I didn’t know what was happening but I had a feeling that something bad was coming. I reached the top of the hill overlooking the main entrance just as the gates opened. There th

ELIZA’S POVI could feel the minutes slipping away like grains of sand through my fingers. The terminal was filled with the noise of travelers and the voice announcing departures coming from the speakers, but all I could hear was my heartbeat and Alexander’s voice as he held my hand tightly in his."Are you sure you’ll be okay?" he asked, brushing a strand of hair from my face. His stormy blue eyes traced every detail like he was trying to memorize me.I nodded, but my throat felt tight. I hated goodbyes. Especially this one."You’re going off to settle peace between two kingdoms, and I’m just going back to the pack." I smiled faintly, trying to keep the mood light, but the sadness in my chest was too much.He arched a brow, smirking just slightly. "Don’t diminish your greatness, Eliza. You’re going back to rule your people. That’s just as important.""Flatterer.""Always." He leaned in and kissed my forehead, then my cheek, and finally pressed his lips against mine in a kiss that was

ELIZA’S POVI stopped in my tracks. My heart was racing as I took in the scene in front of me. I hadn’t expected… this. Not even close. It was absolutely stunning.Lanterns hung from the trees like floating stars.Soft music played from somewhere in the background, and petals—actual flower petals—lined the ground in these beautiful swirls.Everything glowed like it had been touched by magic. There were candles all over the place and their lights made everything look even better. But it wasn’t just the setting. It was him.Alexander stood at the center of it all, looking as handsome as ever. The way he looked at me—like I was the only thing that mattered in the world—made something deep inside me twist and flutter all at once. I could barely speak. He did this for me.I took a step forward, then another, still not fully believing this was real.H

ALEXANDER’S POVWhen we stopped in front of the Seer’s house, I realized I’d been holding my breath the entire ride.My hands were clenched tight in my lap. My nerves were obvious in a way I wasn’t used to. As the future King, I was expected to be calm and composed, but today felt different. My wolf was restless, pacing inside me. He felt it too—the pressure of what we were about to do.Next to me, Eliza stood with her usual calm expression. But I knew her. Her fingers trembled slightly when they brushed against mine. She was just as nervous.“You sure you’re ready for this?” I asked quietly. She gave me a soft smile. “More than ready. Are you?”I let out a short laugh and tugged at the collar of my coat. “I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t about to lose my mind.”She giggled and squeezed my hand. “Then it’s a good thing we’re goi
