Hera POV

I am outside Chloe's house as early as seven. I don't want his husband to give me another excuse like he did yesterday. Mason's warning from last night is still in mind. However,I pray that he is nothing like Mason wanted to make him sound.

I ring the bell the second time. I am about to do it the third time when the door is pulled open and Chloe comes into view.

" Hera? Why are you here?" She fakes the surprised tone in her voice. I narrow my eyes at her suspiciously. What's that supposed to mean? I am about to counter when my eyes catch sight of a familiar face sitting on the coach, reading what looks like a newspaper.

My frown deepens. When I look at Chloe again, she looks...scared? My heart skips a beat. Mason was right.

" Chole, who's at the door?" the man asks from inside. Chloe looks at me with pleading eyes.

" It's the mail delivery guy. He got the wrong address and was just leaving."Chloe announces before shutting the door on my face. I stand rooted in place unaware

Apart from the fact that there were many, their skills are not impressive. " It's all clear." Mason screams and emerges from his hiding place,the rest follow suit." Let's get moving."
