"....always keep to deadlines. Submit your designs on time and attend every meeting. You'll be fired if you go against any of the rules on that paper more than three times." Chanel continued as I read the last paragraph.
"Noted, ma'am." Asides being of my best behavior here, I would try my possible best not to get into Chanel's bad books.
After I had drawn my signature, I put back the paper into the envelope and passed it to Chanel.
"Hold on. One more thing." She said as she opened her drawer and took out a book. "Fill in your details in this book."
I was writing down my name when someone entered.
"Hey baby." Zoey's slightly high pitched voice made me pause from what I was writing to stare at her and her....husband.
Ax had the exact same body build as Havoc with tattoos on his arms, haven't seen his face clearly...only the side view. I would not be surprised if he was part of the biker's executives.
"Morning, Mom," he gave slight nod at Chanel whose face was spread wide in a smile. "Hey, angel." His deep voice rumbled as he went into Zoey's arms, his face pressed deep into the curve of her neck. I probably don't know what he was doing there that made Zoey laugh.
"Baby," another giggle, her fingers inside his curly brown hair. I could see a shiny wedding band on her ring finger. "You know we are not alone."
Instead of responding, he lifted his face from her neck and kissed her, his body melting into hers instantly.
I had already gotten lost by simply watching them ....a faint smile on my face and a quiet sting of jealousy in my heart.
When was the last time I was properly kissed by a man...with love? I wasn't even speaking to any man at the moment, not to talk of being in a relationship... Getting married was very far off. It's not like men weren't approaching me. They were, of course...got like dozens of unread messages, however they weren't the kind of men I was attracted to...the kind of men in my imaginations. The only man who fit that description wasn't in my dm unfortunately...and he's an asshole.
"That's enough, Nolan," Chanel said, hitting her son's arm with the handle of a scissors. "You both just had your honeymoon. You should have had your fill by now." She said playfully.
"Mom, you know that's impossible," Ax was beside a very flushed Zoey, his hand on her waist. "A lifetime honeymoon with this woman and I will not be tired."
Awwwwn, that's so sweet. Zoey is a very lucky woman. I thought.
His face was quite visible...and oh well, damn! Do bikers really have to be this hot... he had the same shade of brown hair like his mom, green coloured eyes, sharp edged cheek bones, shaved jawline...to add to his smoking hotness, he had small hoop earrings on both of his ears. When he blinked, I caught something written on one of his eyelid...should be the right if I was mistaken. Wait...that was Zoey's name tatted there. Wow, commitment at its peak.
I was also right about him being one of the executives. His leather cut had the tag, 'Sergeant at Arms' on it.
"I'm aware of that, Nolan, but you have to go join the other boys. I heard Havoc, Bishop and Money are up already." Chanel was motioning Zoey to come join her. "Your wife is helping me with some paperwork."
"Ugh, can't believe I'm back to this reality." Ax groaned, rubbing his face with his big tattooed hands.
"Money must be made, baby." Zoey gave him a light peck on both of his cheeks before moving towards Chanel.
"See you, angel...and mom, please don't overwork her. I didn't let her sleep enough last night." He hinted that they had fucked. Zoey be getting milked up every now and then, adding to her already glowing skin. Gosh, I'm so, so jealous.
As soon as he left, I scrambled my remaining details on the book quickly 'cause Chanel's attention would be on me now.
"Ma'am, I'm done,"
"Ohh, my apologies for the little distraction," her face was back to work mode. "Work starts tomorrow. You indicated while applying that you design jackets and vests right?"
"Yes, ma'am."
"Good. I'll need those designs by tomorrow before two pm. After approval, you'll have to return to the club to take measurements of the bikers starting from the prospects to the president."
I swallowed hard hearing what she had just said. I was looking for ways of avoiding Havoc at all cost, now I was going to actually touch him and take his meaasurement. I felt my nipples going hard just at that thought.
"Is everything okay?"
"Of course, ma'am. I...uhh, have a question. Will everybody's measurements be taken in one day?"
"Nope, there's a schedule for it. There are work spaces available if you don't have one outside the club."
"I have a space already, ma'am." I responded almost immediately, thinking about my clothing store. Since, I've got few clothes remaining and hardly anybody stopping by, I would have to convert it to my work studio.
"Alright, our work here is done. You can go."
On my way back to Willa's apartment, I scrolled through my phone to get pictures of sleek jacket and vest designs. I had already taken note of the ones I saw at the club. I would want mine to really stand out and be different.
"You're back early." Willa sounded surprised as she opened the door.
"Yeah, I would be starting tomorrow officially." I slumped myself on the nearest sofa, my jacket and purse hitting the floor at the same time.
"So, tell me, how was your experience these few hours? I've heard and read a lot about motorcycle clubs."
"Not that bad. Everywhere had a smell of smoke and engine oil, some biker creeps ogling at your body... I think they really have high libido... that's a perception though. I didn't meet much women."
"Ohh, you've met some of the men already." Willa's eyes lit up. "What are they like?"
One thing I've known my best friend for, for years now, was the fact she thinks that whatever she reads in books were real life, most especially romance novels, and she would not stop blabbing about it. I could remember after she read a particular book, she had to break up with her boyfriend because she fell in love with the fictional male character of the book.
"They are just there, Willa." I wasn't ready for this conversation right now.
"Just there? Come on, are they huge with large arms and tattoos all over? All the biker books I've read so far didn't fail to mention these qualities."
"Willlaa..." I let out a tired groan. "Alright, yes they do. Not all of them are huge though... It's only the president and..."
"You've met the president!" She gasped, her mouth and eyes wide open. "He must be so hot and one sexy hunk of a man. Do you know how many times I've fallen in love with the president in each biker book?"
"Willa, fiction isn't reality...and morever, Frost Vipers president looks like a real jerk." At this point everything I would do to make myself hate Havoc, I would gladly do that.
"Do the calms, Serena. I know you are not big on men right now but you should at least like the president, 'cause he's your boss. Hating your boss means hating your job."
"God forbid I like that kind of man." Instead of ending my sentence there, I went ahead to rave how he's an asshole and how he would not make me feel intimidated. It was as if I've been triggered by something unknown.
"Uhh, Serena, why do I have a feeling that you know this man? Have you met him before?"
It was at this point I realized that I might have said too much. "I...mmm...no, I haven't," I stood up from the sofa. It was time for me to make an escape to avoid more questions, "Willa, I will be right back. I'm going to my studio."
"Studio?"
"Yes, I'm transforming my boutique into one." With that, I left. Time to report for duty 'cause I've got twenty thousand dollars on the line this month.
KNOXXI didn't exactly see her the moment I entered. But I did notice some movements at the very end of the garage where she was, I suppose. I took my steps very lightly, making sure she didn't hear me as I got closer to the end. Despite the garage's poor lighting, I was able to still see.I've caught sight of her now. She was crouched beside the last bike close to the wall, her phone in one hand with its torchlight turned on. She was seriously checking out the bike as if she had seen it somewhere, wait...I was seeing an image of the same bike on her phone screen. "Shit!" She breathed out a quiet curse when something slipped out her purse and rolled under the bike. She rose to her feet, bent over the bike, forcing her naked ass cheeks straight to my face...Holy fuck! They were round, smooth and very plump....not forgetting to put bubble-like. She wasn't wearing anything under this whole time... 'Focus, Knoxx, focus. This is not why you're here.' I mentally hit myself. She had pick
KNOXXIf I had known, I would have listened to my instincts and stayed in my room as I've always done during club parties. Ax was the one who did the convincing."Do you always have to be a no fun person, Havoc?" This was a conversation between us hours ago before the party."I'm the club's president, Ax. The time I'll spend partying away, I could use that for more important things. Are you not seeing what's going on?" The important things here, I mean playing chess alone and mentally using it to figure how to destroy enemies of the club, or finishing up Sun Tzu's The Art of War that I was reading last night...or adding some shit to my notes, haven't written in close to two months now."Don't make me laugh, Havoc. And just this one night, you'll find all the solutions to the club's problems." "Nothing is impossible, Ax." I squeezed my coffee cup and threw it into the nearest bin. It was barely six pm in the evening and this was my ninth cup for today, would definitely have two or thr
SERENA"Hope you're okay?" Zoey must have noticed how I went totally quiet...her doctor instincts, I guess. She'd be thinking that the shot must have taken a toll on me. The vodka or whatever that was inside was awful but it wasn't the reason why I was shaken. The reason was on the other side of the hall."Of course, I'm okay." I forced a smile, despite the bitter and harsh taste stuck to my tongue. The cocktails, I believe, that Layla had ordered was brought to our table."Here," Layla gave me one glass which had an orange slice placed on its rim. "It is called Sex on the Beach." "I hope it's not as terrible as..." I made a distasteful face while gesturing at my empty shot glass."Nope, it's very mild, you may not even taste the vodka in it."I sipped a little first to confirm. She didn't lie. It was sweet, having peach blended with orange kind of taste which made me want another sip immediately. While enjoying myself with a glass of Sex on the Beach, I haven't forgotten that I woul
SERENAZoey: Serena, don't tell me you bailed out last minute. Layla: maybe, she did. I've been trying to call her, but she hasn't picked up. Party started thirty minutes ago.Me: of course not, ladies. Layla, I apologize for not picking up, I was getting ready...and I'm on my way already.I took a quick picture of my boots and sent to the group chat consisting of Layla, Zoey and I... Delilah's phone was having screen issues, she'd be joining the group later when her phone gets fixed. The cab that I was in finally got to the gates of the clubhouse. I was expecting to hear loud, vibrating music from inside, but I didn't. Right in front of the gate, everywhere was damn quiet. Layla said party has begun...maybe I should go in first to confirm.I was out of the cab already, by the widow of the passenger's seat, my right hand stretched out to the driver to pay for my ride. Two minutes passed, he hasn't taken the money from my hands. I wasn't even looking at him until I drifted my eyes to
SERENAThis week has been stress-free in a way. I had only jacket designs for the old ladies to work on which I used the whole of Wednesday to create. And I went to the club house on Thursday to go check on the progress of Harper and her team as Chanel had told me. The main thing I was looking forward to this week was the club party happening this Saturday. Since I would not be busy today being Friday, I decided it would be a perfect time for me to going back to my apartment, get some of my clothes and other stuff."Willa, I'm heading home.""Why? Am I making you uncomfortable? If it's the Havoc talk, fine, I will stop." This best friend of mine suddenly became alert."Willa, oh my God, look at the way you're freaked out" I laughed. "I'm only going to get some important stuff. I'm coming back today.""Thank goodness. You had me thinking deep for a moment.""But you know I won't stay with you forever. I'll have to move out someday...""Yes, to your husband's house. Or Havoc's, maybe."
KNOXX It's been two days of torturing the two idiots who tried to ambush my club members and I on our way coming back from a ride to MOA. Yet they have chosen to keep their mouths shut as to who sent them. The club's doctor, Philip, was on always on standby, ready to stitch and clean them up.It was presently the night of day two."Do you think they will talk?" Ax asked while Blade made a new whip from the ones he destroyed on their bodies. The two men were tied up to a long pole, their hands together and their bodies hanging on the air. Ax and Blade were the ones doing the punishing while I stood and watched. The basement which was out of bounds to the rest of the clubhouse, was the usual place where the club's captives were thoroughly dealt with."One way or the other, they have no choice." I said in response. "From the look of things, these bastards have chosen to die. They have decided not to say shit." Ax hissed. The death part was what I was avoiding...reason why I didn't wan
