Chapter Twenty-One

The massive bonfire in the center of the clearing had grown into a huge, roaring blaze of bright orange fire by the time the dark night fully settled over the deep woods of the campground. The sound of loud laughter, rough rock music, and the constant clink of glass beer bottles filled the cool night air as the patched brothers of the Iron Reapers and a few of their allied motorcycle clubs celebrated the successful end of the very first day of the annual run.

Chapter Twenty-Two The second morning of the long annual motorcycle club run started with a very heavy, dark tension that felt significantly thicker than the cold, gray morning fog rolling through the tall pine trees. The cool air was completely still, but everything felt incredibly dangerous, like a bomb that was just waiting for a single spark to explode. We had camped much deeper into the high green hills the night before, away from the main highway roads. Early in the morning, before the sun could even fully rise in the sky, all of the patched brothers of the Iron Reapers were already gathered in a tight circle near the center bonfire pit. Their deep voices were very low, incredibly angry, and full of a dangerous suspicion as they muttered among themselves. Stone stood right in the absolute middle of the large crowd of angry men, looking exactly like a massive, dark storm cloud that was about to rip the entire camp apart. He was holding a small, crumpled piece of paper cr

Chapter Twenty-One The massive bonfire in the center of the clearing had grown into a huge, roaring blaze of bright orange fire by the time the dark night fully settled over the deep woods of the campground. The sound of loud laughter, rough rock music, and the constant clink of glass beer bottles filled the cool night air as the patched brothers of the Iron Reapers and a few of their allied motorcycle clubs celebrated the successful end of the very first day of the annual run. I stayed completely close to Stone’s side for most of the long evening, sitting tight against his broad chest on a wooden log, but despite my best efforts, my anxious eyes kept drifting across the clearing toward Siren. She was holding court near another large fire pit, surrounded by a tight circle of huge, rugged bikers. She was telling wild, dangerous stories of the open road that had several of the club brothers hanging onto her every single word with deep admiration. As I watched her move and speak

  • The Biker’s Obsession    Chapter Twenty

Chapter Twenty The strong morning wind whipped violently past our faces for hours and hours, the long highway stretching out endlessly ahead of us like a massive black ribbon cutting a path straight through the high green hills. My small arms stayed locked incredibly tight around Stone’s thick waist, my right cheek pressed flat against the heavy leather of his back as the loud, thunderous roar of thirty Iron Reapers motorcycles filled the air around us. It was a deafening sound of pure power. For the very first time in days, I actually felt something close to being truly alive—I felt wild, and I felt completely free, even with the massive, heavy property patch sitting on my back, boldly announcing my new name to the whole wide world. We finally pulled off the smooth asphalt highway just before the bright sun began to set behind the trees. Stone steered his bike into a large, hidden, and completely secluded campground that the motorcycle club had used for their secret events for

  • The Biker’s Obsession    Chapter Nineteen

Chapter Nineteen The highly anticipated annual club run was now only three short days away from beginning, and because of that impending date, the entire concrete compound buzzed from top to bottom with a very restless, tense, and dangerous kind of electric energy. It was the biggest event of the year for the motorcycle club, a time when every single patched brother, prospect, and old lady would hit the open highway together for days of fast riding and wild partying. I stood completely still directly in front of the tall glass mirror inside Stone’s private bedroom, staring quietly at my own reflection while trying my absolute best to ignore the heavy, painful knot of deep anxiety that was twisting tighter and tighter inside my stomach. Riley had just walked upstairs a few minutes ago to bring me a pile of brand-new clothes specifically for the long road trip. She wanted to make sure I looked the part of a real president's girl. I had pulled on a pair of dark denim jeans that

  • The Biker’s Obsession    Chapter Eighteen

Chapter Eighteen The sharp, mean words that Raven had thrown at my face in the kitchen simply would not leave my mind alone. They stayed right there beneath the surface of my thoughts, repeating over and over again on a cruel, endless loop like a song I absolutely hated but could not turn off no matter how hard I tried. Virgin pussy and a pretty face. When the novelty wears off. Someone who actually understands this world. I spent the entire rest of the long, suffocating day doing everything I possibly could to avoid the main communal areas of the large concrete clubhouse. I didn't want to see anyone. Every single time I caught a glimpse of Raven laughing easily with the patched club brothers in the hallway, touching Stone’s leather-clad arm in a casual way while she spoke to him by the bar, or moving through the busy compound like she belonged there more than I ever could, the painful needle of deep insecurity dug itself much deeper into my chest. By the time the dark

  • The Biker’s Obsession    Chapter Seventeen

Chapter Seventeen The very next morning, the entire concrete compound felt completely different from the way it had felt for the past five days. Raven’s sudden return to the clubhouse had completely shifted the daily energy of the people insidesome of the patched club brothers actually seemed significantly more relaxed, happy, and calm, as if her beautiful, familiar presence simply reminded their minds of “the good old days” when things were easy and the club wasn't fighting internally. I tried my absolute best to just ignore the changing atmosphere while I stayed busy helping Riley do chores in the large kitchen, but the painful, tight knot of pure anxiety inside my stomach simply wouldn't loosen up at all. I was standing by the large sink, slowly wiping down the wet wooden counters with a small cloth, when Raven walked straight into the kitchen room. She looked effortlessly sexy, cool, and confident in a pair of very tight blue jeans and a cropped black tank top that proudly s
