Chapter Twenty Six

I woke up with a start gasping as my right arm protested from having slept on it. I had no idea how I managed to fall asleep on the floor of the woods or for how long I had slept but judging from the inky sky and twinkling stars and the bright moon I'd say it's been awhile.

The moon… the ball… werewolves…

Panic caught in my throat as the realization dawned on me that I shouldn't be anywhere near the woods tonight, Cherry had been meticulous.

"Shit."

Has anyone realise I'm not in my room yet?

I debated staying put where I was or finding my way back to the mansion and risk being torn limb by limb by a moon crazed wolf.

I shivered involuntarily. "Yeah no, there's no way I'm freezing my ass out here." I said to myself.

Several howls rose up into the night sky and swelled, permeating every corner of the woods.

"Shit! shit! shit!" My heart was racing fast. I must get out of here. I realised I didn't have my phone with me so I couldn't call for help. What rotten luck.
