The two talked seriously afterwards. Kraius is Andrius' legal adviser. He gives opinions and ideas on everything he wants to do in his business. Even in the businesses he had in different parts of the world. Andrius was a pro in his league while Kraius was the best in his profession. They were the best tandem in town. Both powerful and influential.
"Anyway, Andrius. Why don't you smile often? When you frown, you look even uglier." Kraius laughed with his own remarks while he received an evil stare from Andrius. "I'm really very handsome," he added and laughed again.
"Get out of my office!" Andrius shouted angrily at Kraius. He also pointed to the door of his office.
Laughing, Kraius stood up from his seat. He shook his head as he said goodbye to Andrius. He never did buy his jokes on him ever since because he was always easily getting mad at it. He immediately headed out of his office after saying goodbye. He also winked at his secretary before finally leaving the area.
He was just getting into his car when his cell phone rang. Kraius smiled when he saw the name of his mother Ferlyn on the screen. She was a former actress who married a Turkish magnate. His father was a billionaire in turkey.
His parents met in America based on his mother's story. They became friends then fell in love with each other in the process, and later got married. However, they live separately because her father doesn't like the hot climate of the Philippines.
For more than twenty-five years, Kraius traveled almost half of his life. Back and forth to Turkey or if not, he goes to Europe. He only knew how to waste money for this and that before he finally realized that being a lawyer was the profession he wanted to pursue. And he was not mistaken with his chosen field. Seeing where he was now, his effort really did more than just pay off.
Kraius shrugged his thoughts off. He was thinking too much that he forgot to answer his mom's call. His phone kept on ringing that made him smile even more. Her mother is just naughty with the things she likes. After operating the vehicle, that’s the time he answered the call.
"Hi, Ma!" Kraius greeted her happily.
"Kraius dear, I miss you! How are you son?" she asked on the other line.
Kraius pouted. Actually, he's a mama's boy. He is too vulnerable when it comes to his mother. Especially when she’s talking to him tenderly. And if his suspicion was correct based on her voice, surely, she would probably ask some favor from him.
"What is it?" he eagerly asked his mother.
Kraius' mother laughed on the other line before replying, "Can you join us for dinner? I'll introduce you to someone. She’s beautiful," she teasingly said on the other line.
Kraius sighed and shook his head. He did a quick glance in the side view mirror before answering his mother, "Okay. Just send me the location, Ma."
"I will. Please, hurry up and eat. Okay? Bye, baby. Seni Seviyorum!" (I love you!) she happily said before the call was turned off.
Kraius sighed again when he received the text message. He cursed because he had to return to Makati again. His mother's location was in Forbes Park and he was quite far from there already. Kraius did a quick U-turn and headed his way back.
Unlike before, the flow of traffic is lighter. It was rush hour but only a few vehicles were on the road. Some were already parked on the side of the road while others were busy waiting for incoming passengers on the boat.
Kraius felt relieved because of that. He also got faster to his destination. Forbes is exclusive so the guard called his mother's friend before letting him in. He was also not surprised by what he saw when he finally entered.
Large and elegant mansion from different rich people. Businessmen, celebrities and the Alta Sociedad were there. Everything in there was almost of the same design and beauty and is made of concrete or glass. Each screamed wealth and power.
Kraius' car stopped at a modern house. A three storey’s house which is made of glass and bricks. Its exterior is a modern classic design. There is a wide backyard, a fountain in the middle, and it is surrounded by different kinds and species of flowers on the sides.
Although Kraius wasn’t sure of what to do, he still got out of his car. The door opened from inside and her mom showed up. Next to her was another woman who was just her age. Both of them were sophisticated and smiled at him warmly.
"Kraius baby!" his mother exclaimed happily.
Kraius scratched his head. He didn't know whether to be ashamed or just laugh at his mother's reaction. They were together just this morning but she’s acting like they haven't seen each other for a long time.
"Good evening, Ma," he greeted softly and kissed her as he got closer. "Good evening, Maam." He turned to his mother's companion.
"I'll introduce you to someone, baby. I wonder where she is?" his mother said while leading him into her friend's house. Her mother also looks at home and is used to the place. "Baby Rhezi!" she loudly called.
Kraius frowned. He doesn’t know about this someone whom his mother was going to introduce to him. He turned his gaze to his mother and saw the joy on her face. They stopped when they heard footsteps from the grand staircase of the house.
"Oh! You're just there, Baby Rhezi!" Kraius's mother's enthusiastically said.
Kraius swallowed a lump on his throat with what he saw. He knew that it’s wrong to criticize someone with their physical appearance but he could not control himself. He had scolded himself mentally over and over again. It was really a wrong idea that he agreed to his mother's request. Really wrong. Surely, he really likes young girls but not this particular girl who is almost the same size of a fatty pig.
What does love really mean? When do we know that a certain emotion could be defined as love? How much could a person do and sacrifice for the sake of love? There were a lot of questions flooding Kraius' mind while watching Rhezi slowly walk along the aisle leading to the altar where he was standing. He smiled while his eyes bore unto her. His shoulders were shaking, too. His emotions were too much that he couldn't even stop himself from tearing up. At the same time, he was overwhelmed by the sight of her. Seeing Rhezi walking towards him, Kraius couldn't remember when was the first time he admitted to himself that he was in love with her. However, he could vividly remember when he first saw her smile and pout. That was also the first time his heart skipped a beat, the first time that made his head on a haywire, and the first time he said to himself that he was enchanted with her spell.Rhezi was so beautiful, wearing her vintage wedding gown. The man felt like he fell for her a litt
Rhezi instantly closed her eyes as Kraius' lips touched hers. The woman couldn't explain what she felt when he kissed her. It has been a long time since she wished to be kissed by him. However, fate wasn't on their side. She needed to leave to prove herself and her love for Kraius worthy. They were kissing like no one was watching them. Savouring each other's lips like their life depended on it. The sun that was kissing the sea seemed to be happy for them, too. Even the waves and the sand became one with their hearts, while the eyes that are on them were nothing but sparkling in happiness for the two reunited lovers. When Kraius ended the kiss, Rhezi almost chased his lips just to kiss him again. Her heart knew how she was yearning for him when she saw him standing by the altar, waiting the woman walking along the aisle. She cried at the sight but her heart was filled with happiness when he walked closer to her. "Seni özledim. I-I miss y-you so much, K-Kraius," Rhezi admitted. She wa
Kraius didn't even dare to blink. Even when Arruba finally arrived at the altar, he was still standing still like a statue. His eyes started to water. It seemed like his vision was imagining things again, because from the entrance where Arruba previously stood was Rhezi, shoulders shaking while staring at him. He even cursed himself when his hallucination worsened and saw her walking towards his direction. "What the fuck, man! Move!" He heard Andrius' shout.Kraius didn't understand what he really meant but his feet seemed to have its on own mind that it slowly moved. It slowly walked towards the figure. His vision was blurry but he didn't mind at all. He also didn't care if everyone saw him crying. He was hurting. He was confused. He was happy. Kraius' emotions were too much that when they met at the center of the aisle, he couldn't stop himself from sobbing. His shoulders were shaking too. You can call him gay for acting so, but he didn't care one bit. He cried in happiness, thoug
Seven years later. . . Where do broken hearts go?That has been Kraius' question to himself for the past few years. Love and it's consequences. Does it really have to be so painful and lonely that he couldn't even determine why he was still breathing? Does it really have to be unfair that it still kept on hurting him like hell? While overlooking at the vast ocean of Surigao, the man couldn't help but to curse consecutively. The emptiness and torment that he was feeling was just too much that he wished to stop breathing at all. However, he also wished that the thing that was keeping him sane would be granted sooner. That the impossible would be possible. Everyone knew him as a cheerful lawyrr, but behind his masked persona was an endless torture that his heart had gone through. Like the vast and boundless sea in front of him. The water may look fine and peaceful, but the waves of it still wanted to kiss the sand. To reach for each other despite everything pulling them apart."Are you
Rhezi had the most beautiful dream that night. She dreamed that Kraius and her got married privately. Just them and some close friends. It was a beach wedding and she was just wearing her usual jeans while Kraius was wearing his khaki shorts. It might be the reason why the sweet smile never left the woman's lips. It seemed true that her heart fluttered in happiness. When the woman opened her eyes, her heart beat accelerated and her smile widened when she felt a heavy thing right above her waist. She reached for it so that the embrace would tighten around her. Then, she turned to face him and saw the most handsome man she had ever laid eyes on.His slow breathing fanned over her face but it didn't bother her. She stared at him intently as if her life and death depended on it. Her eyes traced and lingered onto every feature of his face, and it was still perfect in her sight. His striking pointed nose. His thick eyebrows that made him look intimidating. His perfectly shaped lips that s
Kraius didn't waste the moment. He released Rhezi from his tight hug and cupped her beautiful face. There were still tears in her eyes and he didn't waste time to remove it. He wiped her tears using the back of his hand, careful not to hurt the woman in the process. After that, he went closer to Rhezi and kissed her eyes softly.Rhezi immediately closed her eyes, feeling her heart beating erratically. She was hurt and by what she discovered and also guilty. However, Kraius' kisses affected her as the man kissed over her face until it went to her lips. The slow and soft touches of the man's lips on her felt like comfort saying that everything would be alright. That she shouldn't worry so much because he's here to fight for her. That she won't be hurt again because he'd love her without any inhibitions."Sshh, stop crying, Chubz. I hate to see you cry," the man whispered. His soulful brown eyes were on her. His eyes also displayed suffering, just like the woman's."K-Kiss me, Kraius. He
