Chapter 5 Where Art Thou Julius?

Julius

As soon as Rosalie finished her performance I had to go get some air. I walked out looking for a balcony. I zig zagged through the halls and bummed a cigarette and lighter off a passer by. I don’t usually smoke but tonight I needed to take a load off literally. Finally I reached the back of the venue and found two huge wooden doors. I pushed the heavy doors open and found a secluded balcony and fresh air.

I was lost in my thoughts. Reflecting on my life. To the world of social media I’ve been given the name of playboy billionaire. I have more money and women then most men can only dream of. Yesterday I did a photoshoot with GQ magazine to be featured as one of the worlds sexiest bachelors. My family has always gained attention in the public eye for our wealth and looks but when I broke off and took my own path to fame and riches, I became a focal point for the paparazzi. I can’t say that I enjoy the attention but I can’t say I’m complaining either.

I lit up my cigarette and took a deep inhale when a seductive voice spoke from behind me.

“Looks like a storms coming through.”

Rosalie walks beside me and drapes her arms over the balcony. She looks even better close up with her sexy dress and glamours waves in her black hair.

“Care to share?” She raises her brow towards my cigarette and lifts her champagne. Hell yes I will. We make the exchange.

She takes a puff and asks me

“so what’s a tall dark stranger like you doing hiding out on this secluded balcony? Do you work here?” She has no idea who I am.

“No. I’m with the party” I reply coolly.

“Friend or cousin of Ben’s? Please don’t tell me we’re related and I’m creeping on some distant cousin.” She smiles and I laugh.

“I’m Julius, Ben’s best man and big brother.” I flash a grin waiting for her reaction.

“Oh my God! Julius? I thought you’d be blonde like Ben.”

So I’m guessing she hasn’t heard of me? Does she not keep up with the times?

She bring me in for a tight long hug and immediately I smell her sweet scent. A mix of roses and her natural scent that gives me the strangest feeling of being home. I know, weird. My body is on fire and I’m half tempted to bring her in for a passionate kiss.

“It’s so great to finally meet you. I’m Rosalie.” She pulls back and smiles happily at me. Loud club music comes on in the distance.

“Oh no. That’s probably Michael and Christopher taking over the party.” She rolls her eye and takes another drag from my cigarette then hands it back and trades me for the champagne.

“Did you have a chance to meet them?” She asks.

“The twins?” I confirm.

“Yes the twin spawns of Satan we like to call them. Our cousins. They’ve been following me around since they were born. Right along with Becca of course. You know how it is being the oldest.”

She makes her way to the balcony wall and sits down on the concrete leaning her back against it. I try no to notice her legs on full display. Along with the gold chains around her thigh making my member hard. I take a seat beside her.

“I did. Your family seems really close. I’m envious to say the least.” She watches me close. Studying me intently.

I look back at her taking in her features.

She smiles like she is about to tell me a secret. I steal the champagne back and our hands graze. I take a drink to hide my shiver.

“So you’re a painter?” She asks. I spit the champagne I was drinking out to the side.

“How did you know that!!?” I have never told anyone my hidden hobby. Not even Ben. How did she know?

“Ooooh so it’s a secret?” She smirks. “You know in my family if you know someone’s secret you have a bounty on your head. Am I in danger Julius Alexander?”

The way she says my name makes me want to only hear it from her mouth while she’s on top of me screaming it. I think I just scared myself with that thought and I’m not even drunk.

“Yes you are in grave danger Miss Valentino.” I give her a dark smirk. “Now seriously, how did you know?” I’m dying of curiosity.

“Well....” She touches my rolled up sleeve on my shirt where I have a small dash of blue paint.  “I figured either your girlfriend wears some rad blue lipstick or it’s paint.”

“No girlfriend.” I wanted to make that known. “I dabble with painting, I’m not very good, it’s just a hobby.” I can’t believe I admitted that.

“That means you’re really good. I can always spot when someone has a talent. It happens to be my theory that the greatest artists of all hide away and never show it, and they’re extremely hard on themselves. Hell, Michaelangelo’s last words were-“

“I’m still learning” we say together and smile. I have never smiled this much. My face is starting to hurt.

“That’s why he was so great. He never stopped learning.” I add

“Exactly” she agrees. I cant remember when I’ve had such easy conversation with a woman and actually enjoyed it.

“You were unbelievable tonight Rosalie. I’ve never heard anyone play like you. You were captivating.”

“Oh that’s all thanks to my cello- The Mona Lisa. She’s priceless you know. Rumored to be the very same cello that Bach used to compose the six Cello Suites.” Wow. I know she is being humble and it’s not all her cello but damn, how did It come to be in her possession?

“Now you must tell me how it came to be in your capable hands?” Hands capable of doing dirty things to me that is.

“It’s a long story, I don’t wish to bore my new handsome friend.” She winks and smirks. Did she just friend zone me? Wtf

“I have all the time in the world Rosalie, tell me a story.” Game on. Picking up the swagger and I want to know everything about this strange beauty. I sure as hell am getting out of this friend zone, Ben be damned. She’s not my sister in law

She has a far away look in her eyes and begins telling me of how it all began for her. How she came to be introduced to her weapon of choice. The cello. I watch her closely and listen to her sultry voice. Hanging on every word.
