Chapter twelve

The loud ringing of the phone, woke Melissa up from her peaceful sleep.

She groaned in frustration, hating the fact that someone had destroyed her peaceful slumber.

"Hello?" She picked up the phone without even seen who was calling.

"Good morning wifey," The person said on the other side.

Melissa was too sleepy to even recognised the owner of the voice so she sleepily asked,

"Who is this?"

Kaden was taken aback. Did he perhaps call the wrong person?

No --- this was indeed his wife's number so then---

"It's me, Kaden. Did you delete my number?" He asked in a light tone that didn't give away the fact that he was upset.

Hearing the name, all the sleep left Melissa's face and she was now wide awake.

"Oh uh good morning hubby, sorry I was sleeping so I uh." She was at a loss of words not even sure what to respond.
