MasukOphelia was still crying when she heard a loud knock on the door. She couldn’t even move from where she was sitting, immersed in her thoughts.
She couldn’t even think of what to do or how to move on with her life. Bang! Bang!! Bang!!! The knock grew harder, but again, Ophelia just looked at it without saying a word. Milana, who was already frustrated by the whole situation, stood up and opened the door, with tears still streaming from her eyes horribly. What she saw baffled her so much that she left her mouth agape as some hefty men, led by Adrain, walked in angrily, all their eyes cold. They kept scattering everywhere and searching for what remained unknown. Before Milana could even think of saying a word, she was pushed to the side, causing her to fall abruptly. Seeing this, Ophelia jumped up from where she was sitting, curious to find out what was happening. “What the hell is happening?” she yelled and rushed to help Milana sit up. They all ignored her and kept searching and throwing their stuff up and down. Ophelia stood up with confidence and went to meet Adrain, who stood in place directing the guards. “Please, who are you? Why are you doing this to us?” Ophelia asked patiently, trying not to be rude, but Adrain merely glanced at her without saying a word. Suddenly, one of the men yelled, “I found it!” One of them said, raising Ophelia’s bag. He brought it forward and gave it to Adrain, who angrily threw everything in the bag out and kept on searching till he found the wallet Ophelia saw on her way home inside. That’s when it hit her that she forgot to toss the wallet out because of the shock of her mother’s death. “Who owns this bag?” Adrain said angrily, making Ophelia shiver in fear. “I…I…a..m the owner,” Ophelia said, stammering. “Take her,” Adrain said simply and walked out. Ophelia tried to explain, but she was dragged away before she could even say a word. Ophelia looked back and assured Milana that everything would be okay. She was dragged inside a black van and was blindfolded. ************ Ophelia woke up to find herself in a dark room with her hands tied. She tried to move, but she couldn’t. She looked around, and everything was dark and silent. She couldn’t even see a thing. Suddenly, she saw some rays of light and heard the sound of heavy metal. She looked in that direction, and the door opened with a roar. She saw some pairs of shoes entering, and she slowly closed her eyes again, pretending to be asleep. “Wake her up,” she heard that cold voice as some cold water was splashed on her. She jumped up abruptly as the guards untied her hands. Rome, unable to conceal his excitement, looked at the woman crawling on the floor. “So, you think you can succeed by running off with my money, right?” he said and angrily grabbed Ophelia by the chin. But what he saw next shocked him so much that he quickly let her go and walked out. Ophelia, who already guessed that he was the owner of the wallet, was not surprised, but what remained unclear to her was why he ran out after seeing her face. She looked up and saw all of them walking back out again. The door was closed, and everything went dark. “What the hell was that?” Rome asked, completely annoyed. “I don’t know what you are talking about,” Adrain asked, confused. “That girl is completely new. I don’t even know who she is. Why do you always have to mess things up for me, Adrain? Why?” Rome yelled while ruffling his hair. “I’m sorry, but the wallet was found in her house, and the way she was acting, everything about her was suspicious, so I didn’t know what else to do,” Adrain replied, trying to explain. “I will take care of it. Just give me her details that you’ve collected,” Rome replied plainly. He was given her details, and after going through them for a while, he commanded the guards, “Bring her out.” “Yes, sir,” they replied in unison and brought Ophelia out. Seeing the rays of sunlight, she fell and sprained her knee. “Ahhhh!” she hissed in pain as the guards helped her up and guided her toward Rome. “Sit,” Rome commanded plainly without looking at her. Without saying a word, Ophelia sat down silently. “Why did you steal my wallet?” Rome asked, still not looking at her face. Ophelia bit her lower lip silently in pain while grabbing the hem of her dress. She was confused about what to say. It was true that she took the wallet, but at the same time, she saw it on the floor, so it was not completely her fault. Rome looked at the girl in front of him. Seeing that she was already shivering without saying a word, he smiled faintly. “Don’t worry, I won’t kill you now, and I will make sure you don’t end up in prison. But there is a price to pay for that,” Rome said with a smirk. Hearing that, Ophelia looked up immediately, and her eyes met his. She looked straight into his eyes and finally opened her mouth. “And the price is?” she said boldly without averting her gaze. “You bitch!” Adrain yelled, already pissed by her reaction, but Rome stopped him halfway. He stood up from where he was sitting and walked closer to her. Seeing that Ophelia was still not averting her gaze, he laughed loudly. “Ha..ha..ha, I like smart girls,” he said and sat back on the couch with his legs crossed. “You will marry me! You will be my contract wife until I’m ready to free you, and in turn, I will take care of your mother’s burial and your sister’s schooling.” Rome said as he sipped some wine. He paused and continued, “I won’t ask for your opinion or persuade you to say yes.” “But surely, you can’t afford to say no because I don’t take that for an answer,” he said with a commanding tone. Before Ophelia could open her mouth to say a word, he had already left with Adrain, leaving her hanging.Final chapter…..Three months later…….In the past three months, a lot has happened. Kael kept driving as Bryan chased him through the dark highway, neither of them willing to give up. Bryan eventually overtook him, forcing Kael to stop. They both jumped out and started shooting at each other, but Bryan was unfortunate to run out of bullets.Kael took advantage of the moment and tackled him to the ground. He climbed on top of Bryan and punched him repeatedly.Just when Bryan could barely fight back, Savannah suddenly jolted awake. Her hands were still tied, but she quickly wrapped the rope around Kael’s neck and pulled with all her strength.Kael loosened his grip, and Bryan immediately grabbed his gun from the ground. He pointed it at Kael’s head and pulled the trigger.Bang! The bullets pierced through his skull, knocking him down.Bryan breathed in deeply, rushing towards Savannah and pulling her into a deep hug.“I am glad you are alive” He whispered, crying softly.“I am sorry” Savannah mumbled, her eyes filled with unshed tears. He quickly untied her hands and
Rome hit his body against a huge rock, groaning in intense pain as he tried to get back on his feet. He managed to sit down and look all around him. Most of the guards were either wounded or have lost consciousness. He searched around one more time trying to find Logan. There he was crawling on the floor towards the entrance while crying bitterly.Felix was able to push them out of the small entrance but before he could try to escape the house exploded. In the Piers mansion, everyone being there is family and if a single member of them is hurt because of others’ affairs it will attract a lot of trouble. That aside, Logan and Felix grew up together even before he met Rome.Felix was an orphan who was adopted by Bianca when he was 4. And he was made to serve and protect Logan who was 3 around then. They were like blood brothers and their bond was inseparable. However, he died just like that. Not even his body was found and if found it would probably be unrecognizable.“Nooooooo! Logan
Ophelia got out of the car and stopped in front of the house unable to take another step forward, her attention slightly diverted. She saw Henry sitting by the poolside lost in his thoughts. His eyes were on the pool without showing any emotion. It was hard to tell if he was angry or sad. He was unusually quiet, and that is a side of him she has never witnessed before.Even though she has left the house after confirming everything is okay. Rosalia has finally slept after crying for too long and Henry warned them not to believe a single word until he confirmed Rome is truly dead, Dave shut himself in Milana’s room, and Milana herself has been looking after him even though he refused to say a single word to her. She heaved a deep sigh before eventually deciding to walk closer to him.“Father!” She called out slowly as she neared him.Henry slowly opened his arms with a faint smile. She burst into laughter and sat down beside him putting her head on his shoulder as he wrapped his arm ar
“Don’t you really want to know why Bryan looks hurt whenever he comes across me!?” Cecillia sneered, looking straight into Savannah's eyes. “What??” Savannah exclaimed, her eyebrows slightly furrowed.“I turned him into a playboy” She spat laughing menacingly as she dropped the empty glass cup in her hand and continued.“I was his first and got so tangled with him that I am even unwilling to let go”. “He got tired of me and wanted to break up, so I framed him for murder and got him behind bars”.“The real culprit was caught and he was released. Even though Bryan later found out I was behind the scheme, he couldn't do anything without evidence. Then as a result, he started treating me like trash”.“However, if he kept on being nice to you. I shall make sure you witnessed the same ordeal so, leave my fucking property to me” She threatened, smirking at her.Savannah clenched her fist in anger and immediately grabbed a glass cup and smashed it on her head before angrily grabbing her nec
“And who the fuck did you think you were!?” The lady scoffed, pushing her chest back with the tip of her fingers.“You’ve got to be kidding me bitch” Savannah yelled, yanking her hand away and shoving her to the back”. Her boyfriend was quick to grab her before she fell, and she angrily pushed him away and rushed towards Savannah again but Bryan was fast enough to grab her.“Enough Cecilia! She is not someone you can mess with” Bryan cautioned, shoving her hand away.“So, she is the reason you caught me off and stopped replying to my messages huh!?” She sneered, yelling at the top of her lungs. “We were never in a relationship! And again what are you doing here!? Didn't you leave for Africa??” He clamored, glaring at her with a deadly stare.“Yes, but I came back for “The Piers” wedding, and to claim you back completely. She professed proudly.“Baby! I am here for you” Her boyfriend said but she shut him up before he could even finish his words. It was evident she had the upper hand
Bianca was supposed to get a message from her anonymous number today but for some reason, she got no response not even a text message or a call making her feel more anxious and infuriated. “Get out!” She yelled at all the maids in her room and they all rushed out at once without questioning her.
Sophia turned around in darkness and walked continuously on a lame road with no destination in mind. She met no one on her way and everything was so dark with only the moon reflection lighting up her way. Suddenly she saw an older woman blocking her path with her back facing Sophia. “Please can you
The next day, Ophelia woke up groaning in pain, her head pounding with a sharp headache. She looked around and realized she had fallen asleep still in the same spot from last night. When she tried to stand up, her body stiffened, and her knees ached. She summoned her courage and crawled back to th
Rome parked his car in a hurry and stormed into the house. His eyes flared with rage as he saw Dave sitting comfortably with his legs crossed, sipping a glass of wine like a man without a care. “Where is the girl?” Rome asked sharply, trying to suppress his rising anger. “So, you really want to
