Chapter 2

All I heard him say is that I was safe and no one is going to hurt me anymore. I carried by him into the police car. I fell asleep in his arms and when I woke up the next morning I was in a hospital bed with bandages on my head. 

I've just turned 19 years old today well not sure when my birthday is but when I was put in to the orphanage at the age of 9 with no birth certificate and no details about me the nuns gave me that day as a birthday and it stayed with me. 19 of November.

Staring at myself in the mirror and trying to cover the ugly looking scar on my face with makeup but no matter how hard I try it I still come through as being hideously ugly. 

The  Nuns  got me this job about 6 months ago. A  very generous religious man who owns clubs and restaurants all over the world came into the orphanage one day to donate some money when sister Mary saw him she asked if he could help me with a job and accommodation as I was now getting to old to continue to live at the orphanage. 

He gladly obliged and 2 weeks later I had found my self working and being trained as the hostess of the restaurant plus he had offered me a furnished studio apartment at the back of the club. I could not resist. That was 6 months ago and I'm happy to be working and having beautiful clothes and dresses to wear which by the way are not mine but for work purposes only, but I still enjoyed how they made me feel. I would only wear long sleeve dresses with high necklines to cover my scars and bruises which never seemed to disappear but no matter what  tried so hard to look beautiful lucky the lighting in the restaurant was not that bright people cannot see my face very clearly.
